Only thing is that I wish the gym closed late like 11pm. Other than that the Y is great! Staff respectful, helpful, friendly and professional. The building is clean and organized. Plus there is always activity for all ages ranging from young children to young at heart adults. Its affordable and have scholarships for those on a tiger budget.

What a really nice facility! So much better than the YMCA of New York City! This is a huge place with a great pool and clean locker rooms. Was only there for the pool so I cant really talk about anything else but the pool was amazing

I love everything about this place. All the staff is so nice and helpful. Entire place is kept very clean! We love going to workout or swim!

If you love lifting hard, the weight room is just great. I love the old school York barbells, troy dumbbells, and good old fashioned iron plates. Bumper plates are also prevalant. The magnum line equipment is also incredible stuff, with a lot of variety. Just keep in mind, there are some unfortunate members in there, that destroy the idea of comradery in the weight room. So although the gym has the promising features for hard core lifters, its not what you think.

I have gone to this Y over 10 years. They have consistently been great. I love the athletic options; especially the pool and step aerobics. There is so much space. There is a sauna, too.They do community activities, One instance someone went through my items and they were caught and I was notified immediately and items were returned.

I honest felt so gross when I got in their pool! Their pool smells like strong urine! I can’t enjoy swimming there at all! They need to change water and maybe salt water pool. Unbelieveable I never been to worse YMCA pool in my life until I came to that YMCA 🥴🥴🥴🥴🤮🤮🤮🤮

We are new to Hagerstown and love the YMCA my son loves the weight room my daughter loves the pool and I love the yoga classes all the activities named are included in your $66 membership for a family of four

Some ladies up front can be in the wrong attitude but Im glad the hired new faces then are much more friendlier that some girls used to be in the sense of what they offer for a lot of alternatives and my kids enjoy going and swimming there they offer a variety of classes Im glad to have a facility like this in our area

The covid preparedness of the Hagerstown Y was really commendable . With temperature checks , mask requirements, sanitizer stations , cleanup areas etc , it was awesome. I went to activate my membership which was stopped due to COVID in March and I am happy now

Love watching my granddaughter play volleyball

Yesterday was my first day taking my children to swimming lessons. I was totally shocked of how the instructor behaved towards the children. She was forcefully pushing them to do things they were not ready to do. My son was so excited and looking forward to swimming lessons but she changed that quick. I was very upset after and will not be taking my children there any longer. The instructor sets a bad image for it all. Very unprofessional!The fitness area for adults is great. Swimming lessons by this instructor needs to change.

I love my trainer! The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The youth that come into the workout areaarea frustrating. I understand the need for them to train, but they need to be monitored. It makes it difficult to workout when the youth groups run unattended, and stand in front of the machines without using them.

Had a wonderful visit back for the first time since March 2020.

Our kid is in daycare here. We are really happy with the ladies who run the infant care. Theyre great with the kids and seem to genuinely care. We were going to hire a nanny at first, but decided to give them a try... We really couldnt be happier.

Awesome and absolutely great would love to stay there to work forever.

The YMCA is a great place to workout. I just wish they had longer hours (till midnight at least), and that they had more open swim times. I also feel that kids should be allowed in the fitness area to use certain things, like the treadmill or bicycles, as long as they are supervised by an adult.

I go there 3-4 times a week to swim. The large pool is beautiful but cool. I do like because I work up a sweat and the coolness is nice. What I dont like is the lack of ventilation and the chemical smell is not pleasing or healthy to breath. The small pool is nice but too warm for exercising in. The kids love it though. The fumes in here are worse than the large pool and the poor kids have to breath it. I dont like that the lap swimming is so restricted. The gym isnt restricted so why should the pool be restricted. Often its crowed and most people dont like swimming with others. Offers a lot of programs.

First, TOP Notch!!! The weight room has the Real Deal weights! Staff is Friendly and very helpful. The Sunday Crew is OUTSTANDING!!! HOPEFULLY they will be adding New weight machines to the weight room. Will recommend

This Y is one of the finds of my life. A really nice place. Pool is outstanding. Instructors are serious about my health and are excellent. You can really upgrade your life by joining and using the Hagerstown Y.

Looks like a great place , unfortunately they don’t like old or disabled people because they are the only ymca in the area and the only gym in the Hagerstown area that does not have the silver sneakers program.

I go here for summer camp! And it’s fun, but some of the kids here are kind of disrespectful. We went to six flags America today

I enjoy the swimming & water exercise classes, wish more splash classes could be added, especially on weekend. The womens changing room is a definite improvement from the general locker room, no complaints on changing and shower facilities. Staff have been welcoming.

Im there every other day like clockwork. The Staff is great. The choice in workout machines are excellent. The shower and steam room are kept clean. This place has become part of my life.

Nice place, they have something for everyone. I like the weight room and the water exercise classes, as I need low impact workouts. The staff has been friendly and helpful.

Awesome place for kids of all ages to go and be active in a safe environment. We loved the healthy kids day!! Also great they offer financial assistance so all children have an opportunity to be a member!!!!

We were members in the past, and were here again for a birthday party (swimming). Friendly staff, and its clean. It is a bit expensive for a family membership unless you go frequently.

Lots of fitness equipment, friendly staff, no joining fee, no contract, lots of facility upgrades, aquatic classes and so much more.

I use the pool with my 2yr old when we visit grandma. There is a seperate pool from the larger lap swimming pool and it is much warmer. It is often fairly empty as well. There are small back floaties available for use as well as pool noodles. Showers and locker rooms are typically clean except for some trash left in lockers occasionally (in the under 21 locker room). The only problem is that if you are leaving right before swim practice, the under 21 locker rooms are insanely crowded.

YMCA in Hagerstown is a great place to work out they have to pools with open rack several times throughout the day swimming classes and arthritic classes the adult mens room has a sana and a steam bath they have 2 large basketball courts and a couple of racquetball courts spin classes I knew the classes they also provide child care for when you work out they also have A-day care system That runs from 6 to 6

Very nice, family-oriented facility where you could get a nice workout in. Theres also other activities to do there that you could become a part of or put your child or children in.

One of the biggest i seen

I am a member and I wouldnt pay any attention to any prior negative reviews. The Indoor pools are very nice, The cardio room has state of the art new equipment. The weight room is also on par with most other gym setups. The locker rooms, showers and bathrooms are more than adequate and there are multiple bathrooms throughtout the facility. They have child watch for members through the week day and evening. They offer child watch so parents can go out in the evening kid free. They have family nights at the facility to build quality family time together which by the way is why the YMCA was created in the first place. I am very satisfied and actually thrilled to have this facility in Hagerstown and would recommend this to anyone living nearby.

We swim here twice a week over winter and my 3 boys love it. The staff is kind, and the facility is clean.

Great fun and kids area. Racket ball, tennis, fun and pool area with great hours and service.

Fine when your there, but half the time instead of the basketball courts being used for basketball its soccer and volleyball.

Its okay at best. I go daily to exercise. Showers/Locker room is like being back in high school. For the men, one stand-up toilet and sit-down?Raquetball and basketball courts are nice.Weight room has lots of equipment.Cardio room has old machines with TVs hanging from ceiling - not the best.Have not tried the pool as yet.

I use the ymca for the after school program at bester elementary school. The rates are great and the staff is very helpful and polite.
