If I could leave 0 stars then I would. Absolutely infuriating ER. My wife was in a week ago. She was in desperate need of family support but was denied and she was lied to. The ambulance dropped her off in the evening and I was allowed to see her after they cleaned her up and she was stable. I and a couple other family members were allowed to take turns seeing her until they told us no one until 9am the next morning. I wanted to stay with her overnight but I wasn’t allowed. Even after they told me I could. She was distraught that they wouldn’t let her mother or I at least come back and say goodbye. The next day I show up at 8:30 and check in at the desk. At first I was told I still had to wait until 9. After an hour I was told that only her mother could go back. Really?! A husband is not allowed to see his wife?! Her mom is on the other side of town and can’t drive. She was up all night worrying and too tired for me to go and pick up. I was told not to bother waiting as I couldn’t see her. During this time my wife is alone and the nurse told her no one came to see her. I was right outside the door!!!! I hope we never have to go back to that hospital.

Great reception & triage. Waiting room time is several hours but is worth the wait. Once I got back to see the doctor, the staff was SUPER. So thorough and LISTENS to patients. My ER doctor TRULY listened and helped! Tests were thorough and explanation of the tests was also thorough. I left feeling peace of mind and my ailment was finally addressed seriously. I felt like a person who mattered. Im sorry I cant remember all of your wonderful names; thank you for sincerely listening and helping me. You made me feel VIP..

Overnight stay in January 2021 due to surgery. Good experience and even though number of Covid patients were high, the nurses that took care of me were outstanding. Plus due to many various tests needed throughout the Mt. Carmel campus, I have nothing but warmth and welcome greetings to assist me each time. I’m proud to have Mt. Didnt have the best time when my dad was in ER. He unfortunately passed away, and it felt like some of the staff were more concerned for themselves than our grief. I know some cared, but some didnt. While I watched him passing with his eyes rolling back and hyperventilating in a very bad way they were trying to tell my mom how many people should be in the room. The Covid regulations were overboard, and early on we were called and told to come cause this may be it, but then were told they were still finishing up so we couldnt go in the room (we were breaking down before arrival since his 3rd CPR, in total he had been brought back 5 times and also we went the room anyway), and the one staff member scolded us for not having masks or passes as we rushed in. The security guard also threatened my mom access to see our dad over the masks, and she was away from the staff. It was really upsetting. They did some good but I will never forget my experience. We were not billed, but I still feel upset with how strict it was. Also after he passed we were in the waiting room and they made the whole group of family and friends leave for the next family and since we were breaking covid regulations.

I just had my baby at Mount Carmel Grove City and have been receiving care there prior to.My doctor (Kristen Terranova) and the entire OBGYN/Fetal medicine staff have been caring and kind, willing to answer all questions had about the baby and birth process. When it came time to deliver, I had the most AMAZING nurse (Gina), among many others through out my three days.Needless to say, all of the staff, down to nutrition was kind, courteous, and willing to help.If you are looking for a great hospital to have your baby, this is the place and staff to work with!

This place is a complete nightmare on billing. My husband was seen there in Feb 2020 as a outpatient. They coded his billing incorrectly it took us till January 2021 before they corrected the coding after our insurance company finally sent them a letter. We called over a 100 times (seriously) and finally got a corrected bill in June 2021 after our Ameriflex had expired in March 2021. If they had billed correctly we could have paid the bill with our Ameriflex card. We were even told twice because of the billing errors our bill would be wrote off. What a complete nightmare. Dont ever go there.

This is always the slowest place to go to…I’m here to check if I have a concussion and have been waiting for 2 hours, the doctor still hasn’t even come in the room yet. I probably won’t be getting an x-ray until midnight (if that’s what they’re going to do, but they haven’t even discussed a plan yet with me). Pfft if I was having a seizure they probably wouldn’t even care. Never going here again after. This is for the emergency room.

Cant speak for the medical staff, but unfortunately the front desk and security guards are beyond heartless. Unreasonably rude and unprofessional. I traveled with my son and family to visit a critical elderly relative and they would not allow my son to visit her because he was under the age of 18. The entire state of Ohio has relieved its covid restrictions, yet a facility wont allow a child to visit his dying grandmother. Not to mention while I politely wait my turn in the lobby, the security guard and receptionist have removed their masks from their faces and are chatting loudly, using inappropriate language. That doesnt look like proper protocol, yet Im expected to follow it. Unbelievable.

I have been to Mount Carmel Grove City, for emergency care, in-patient including surgery, and for private services of medical specialists. I have found everything extremely caring and professional. The nursing staff is exemplary and all support staff kind and respectful. This is a great example of the culture that can be created when management and employees share a common mission. All appear to be very satisfied with their career and maintain a patient centered focus. The only exception to this is out of Mount Carmels hands, the third-party residents appear poorly informed of the patients they are to serve. For example, I was told by my surgeon that I would have surgery the following morning. The resident came in and told me I was being discharged and the surgeon would be in touch with me to schedule surgery. I was confused and asked my nurse. She contacted the surgeon and found out the resident was wrong in his understanding. This was typical throughout my experience at Mount Carmel. Then I got a bill from the third-party residency group.... what an insult!A class A group as Mount Carmel deserves 5 stars. Too bad an outside agency brings them down!

Find a different hospital if you can. Husband had a procedure scheduled for 10am. He was told he had to be there at 8 am if he couldn’t find his vaccine card to prove he had the COVID shot so he could be tested before the procedure. At 840a they finally called him back for registration and told him he didn’t need a COVID test. Procedure was supposed to start at 10 and he still hasn’t talked to a Dr at 11. Meanwhile, I have to wait with my kids in the car because this is not a short drive for us. Why they scheduled this appointment so far from home(first one was closer to home) is beyond me. After delivery my son had to be transferred to nicu. So we chose mount carmel due to it being closer to my home rather than childrens hospital. And i am forever greatful. For starters, the babys all have their own little private room so you can close their door if it gets too loud or even stay with them the entire stay because there is a couch on each room that pulls out into a bed. They also have a room called a parent room with a full size bed for both parents to be able to stay with baby. Every encounter with all the staff has been awesome. Strait down to the cleaning crew. All of the nurses are amazing and have cared super well for all of the babys. There is a set of twin girls across the hall from my son and the second they start crying their nurse is right there. I cant say enough how awesome this experience was for me. And the environment is super clean as well. Thank you to the nicu nurses at mount carmel and the dr you guys are all great! And the lacation specialist who helped me get a brand new breast pump after i originally thought i was not eligible threw insurance for a new one just yet. Thank you alll so much. Truly you dont know how much stress and how easier this stay was because of you all and the way the en environment is set up.

The worst Place Ive ever been. First off theres no way possible to see the address when you pull in because the trees are blocking it but you sure can see big #1 and big #2. I go to park only to find out theres rows and rows of empty handicapped parking spots. It looked like an abandoned drive-in theater. I had to park way in the back. I forgot to mention its almost 100 degrees out today. IT was at least a 1/4 mile walk to the building where I had to wait in line at the door. This was the first time Im told I had to go out and two buildings to the right is where I need to go. I hike back to my car in the sweltering heat made worse by the concrete parking lot. I drive the two doors to the right. This time I had to park even further away from the building. Im pouring in sweat by the time I finally get to the door. This time Im told Im in the wrong building again and I have to go out turn left and its two doors down in another building. Thats exactly where I just came from. This time I did see the little 5300 numbers behind the over grown trees. After a half an hour and no one there knew where to get an x-ray I left. I had to schedule my time off at work and thanks to these clowns it will probably be a few more weeks before I can schedule time off for an x-ray with a more reputable office. Screw this place.

(I’m 39) I almost never seek medical treatment for anything but the concern that brought me in was something that put me in a hospital for 7 days and almost killed me last time so it wasn’t as if I hadn’t had experience with it before. I expected to be treated with at least some level of concern but was instead dismissed after being administered a headache drug. I was told I did not have an infection even tho no test was done. When I woke up at home hours later I was shaking, fevering, and drenched in sweat and taking leftover antibiotics to treat myself. This will be the most I’ve ever paid to be laughed at.

Has to be the worst emergency room in Columbus. Went there last night with my father who had fallen down a flight of stairs and had severe pain in his ribs, shoulder, as well as having trouble breathing which he made clear. There was absolutely no rush in an empty emergency room. It took about 4 hours before they gave him anything for his pain despite his crying and obvious agony. Not even ice or Advil. The entire staff acted annoyed by him because he had been admitted to be drinking before and they acted basically like he was overreacting. At least a dozen Doctors and nurses just standing around chatting while we continued to wait for some help. After they finally got his CT scan, the results showed up and they realized that he had 3 broken ribs, a broken clavicle, and a collapsed lung. Magically they were able to speed up and completely change their entire attitudes and finally start doing their job. Finally they transferred him to the west campus where he had to be placed on breathing machines and stay the night. Absolutely rediculous. Will never go back and dont recommend it to ANYBODY!

Even the tests only took as long as they said they would. My experience was great, and Id recommend this place based on my experience. Maybe they have stepped up their service because of all of the negative reviews.

For being the only one in the waiting room, the wait was ridiculously long. Even getting back there I was waiting forever, again for not being busy. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, as well as everyone else I spoke with.

Worst experience with the ER here. Absolutely dont go even if your dying. Also, I live close and their helicopter flies directly over about 120 feet shaking my house sometimes multiple per night. Newborn and toddler wake up. HEY MOUNT CARMEL! HAVE YOUR CAREFLIGHT FLY OVER 665 AND 71 INSTEAD OF HUNDREDS OF HOUSES!!!

I came in with a possible kidney stone. I usually tough it out, but was going out of town for grandsons Navy graduation. In pain for several days and getting worse. Arrived at ER, staff took quick report and urine specimen. I then waited for 3 hours and was finally seen by a physician for less than 3 minutes.Physician Indicated he thought a kidney infection, proceeded to inform me that I knew the meds and protocol and could go on my merry way. He was busy in the ER I was told. I said, No x-ray to make sure? No. If it continues, come back. COME BACK!!!! I dont EVER go to an ER for the sake of going to an ER. I felt he was implying I made a practice of being at the ER and pain meds would be in the protocol of treating. Who cares - I have a HIGH tolerance for pain - I just wanted to be checked for a kidney stone before I was stuck in Chicago with a real problem or on the road traveling for so long. I am not old or senile. I was not impressed with his care or attitude and I tolerate and overlook a lot things in people, but this was not good. He gave me scripts but by that time it was so late there was no pharmacy open in my area which meant waiting until the next day. It was not good care overall.Ive had several others at our church who have gone to the ER and have had the same problems. One was a recent heart patient who had suffered a massive heart attack and was finally home. Her doctor from Mt. Carmel West ordered her to go to Grove City to be check for a possible infection and they would not run the test ordered by their own doctor at Mt. Carmel downtown. Thats bad.Maybe, its just Medicare patients? Not happy. The bill for 3 minutes of nothing was atrocious! I also found it unusual that none of my insurance information was taken. I asked several times. The few times I have gone in for ER care at Mt. Carmel West and Grant, they immediately want your information. Because they never took the new updated information (now on Medicare) they billed the previous insurance company which was no longer in effect. So you have to wonder if they never intended to admit from the beginning. Its sad. I live just down the road. Ill not use them again. Ill head to Doctors or Grant.

Went to ER for sick visit. Nothing negative to say. I use to go to Mt Carmel West regularly as my hospital of choice but it has went downhill in care, cleanliness & long waits in the ER and Grove Citys location is just as convenient. The staff is awesome, thorough, and informative. There was no wait (maybe just not a busy day). The facility is very clean.Cannot wait until they open the hospital as this will be the new place for my family & Is hospital visits. My life story could be told in the hallways of Mt Carmel West..and this place reminds me of how MCW use to be years ago. Keep up the good work and care.

The parking infrastructure is horrible, the lots are always full and the garage is not convenient to any entrance or where you need to go. It feels like you have to walk miles just to get to where youre going and when you are under the weather (which is why most people go to the hospital) it can seem daunting. I would reccomend to arrive at least 45 minutes before your appointment to find parking. The facility is pretty but the parking design was poorly thought out.

People do more chatting with themselves than they do work. NO reason for small groups of nurses to gather and talk while many are waiting to be seen! Oh and the cell phone use while on the clock is a classic..

There to collect your copay and that’s about it. Took young child in at night with very high fever that was on and off for a week. He already had flu test by the Little Clinic. This ER gave him flu test again, gave him Tylenol and told me I could go to children’s hospital if I wanted more testing and sent him home with 103.5 (Tylenol brought it down a bit) fever still. Basically took my money THEN told me I should have gone to children’s hospital because this was an adult ER with limited testing.

I cant believe we have such an excellent emergency facility right here in Grove City. While there are SEVERAL 1-star reviews, I commend Cassandra for being so professional in responding to the complaints. If the people who have complained could just consider that they DONT KNOW EVERYTHING THATS GOING ON AND EVEN IF THEY DID ARENT EXPERIENCED AND DONT HAVE ENOUGH MEDICAL TRAINING TO OFFER OPINIONS AND MAKE DEMANDS.The care I and my family members have received there has been remarkable. Yesterday was no exception. I was there with my elderly father, and not one staff member was unprofessional, rude, uncaring, or any of the other things theyve been accused of here. Every staff member who came into the room apologized that we had to wait for test results and procedures because of more severe issues another patient had. And before leaving the room every staff member asked what he or she could get for us--even offering warm blankets and getting me ice, and I wasnt even the patient. They bent over backwards to make us comfortable.Thank you to everyone weve encountered at Mount Carmel Grove City Emergency Department! Youve taken excellent care of my family and me, and Im grateful.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place was awful. Had to call 911 until they would finally see my mom. Once the ambulance got there they took her to the back and acted like they did nothing wrong and acted all high and mighty. Then the nurse was SO RUDE to me, talked back and said disrespectful things. The two other people in the waiting room were staring at my mom like someone needs to help her asap. But they just told her to have a seat. I would rather die than go back there! Go to the one in Grove city off of Stringtown Rd or the one downtown. Stay away from this place!!!

I have never had an issue at this location. The staff are understanding and helpful. Others have to realize that health concerns of others are more urgent. Yes, I may have a concussion but a patient that was involved in an accident is urgent. Thanks Mount Carmel.

Its an emergency room & there is nothing about an urgent situation there. They do not have the capability to handle the patient load like Mt. Carmel West. I go in and there is a 3hr wait. I have been there a couple times & it has been the same each time. Unless you are missing a limb you might as well wait untill you can get into your doctor.
