My kids took me here to go on a fathers day paddle down the river and they really picked the right place. The owners were just terrific. I made our reservation a week ahead of time and it went very smoothly. We were warmly greeted when we arrived. They gave us some advice about which direction we might want to travel and then sent us on our way. The river was very quiet - even the other paddlers were pleasant! We had a great time. They werent upfront with me when I called and made a reservation in the morning at 10am. At 4:10 pm I received a call to change my reservation. I accepted their changes. Then when I arrived I was surprised with an additional fee to launch my personal boats from their boat ramp, which they had known about from the beginning but did not choose to share the fee with me.They should tell people upfront about all costs.If they need to make changes to a reservation, they should call as soon as possible so people have a chance to make other plans if wanted.They had reasonable rates (we compared to other companies in the area) and friendly staff. The owner, Diane, is extremely cautious and safety- conscious.The river itself was wide and the scenery wasnt particularly impressive with a walking trail along the bank. Honestly my husband said it looked like the side of the interstate.

It you would like to try paddling they have many option. Kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. The place is well run and covid safe. Give them a call. The river is peaceful and beautiful.

Nashoba Paddler is a wonderful way to spend a day on the river. Reservations and check-in is fast and easy, staff is very friendly. Nashoba Paddler has become an annual adventure for me and my dad!

Found out about this company scrolling thru groupon. Booked a couple days in advance for a 10am start time, it was the best time to go. We were the only ones out there and it was so quiet and awesome to see all the wildlife. Staff were super friendly and very helpful! Definitely going back!

I was looking for a safe kayaking experience and Nashoba Paddler did not disappoint. the staff was professional, transaction was contactless, the flow was controlled thru reservations. It was a five star experience. I plan to go back and explore further.

Ive been meaning to try Nashoba Paddler for many years, living not too far from here. We decided to rent a large canoe this week -- our first time trying to paddle as a family. Our initial attempts did not work very well and we ended up spinning around in circles for the better part of 20 minuntes. Not only that we were going backwards through a low hanging branches, which knocked my glasses into the river. I was ready to call it a day.The staff saw that we were struggling and rowed out to help us, gave us clear instruction on how we should work together and how the person in the front and back of the canoe can use their oars as rudders to straighten the canoe. We ended up getting the hang of it and were able to have an enjoyable time paddling -- we saw turtles and quite a number of birds.When I mentioned that my glasses got knocked off and described where they fell off, the staff said they would try to retrieve them in the river. When we returned from our paddling expedition, they mentioned they had successfully managed to find them -- I had counted them lost for good. This was amazing.I cannot tell you how great and friendly the staff were. They went above and beyond to help my family and I. I definitely will be going back here soon.

We had so much fun! Great people and such a beautiful peaceful afternoon. Four of us rented the big canoe and as newbies we did end up going in circles at first - it didn’t help that we could not stop laughing - but we got the hang of it. Thanks so much, we will be back!

Nice people, nice boat, nice landscapes

Nice afternoon of can you canoe? Fall colors on an easy going river! friendly staff got us out on the Nashoba. Kids liked the turtles sunning themselves on the trees along the banks.

My family and I had a great time canoeing. Everything felt very safe and well run. Showed up and all our life jackets and canoes were ready to go and everyone was wearing a mask.

Loved this place. My only recommendation is to add a railing or a rope to help you out of the kayaks after a paddle. My legs were junk from sitting for so long. Besides that, the staff was great, the equipment was great. Very positive experience.

Great place to rent kayaks! I have been coming here for years, always friendly service and very affordable. The river is great! Very peaceful and quiet. For the most part very little development along it and it feels very old world. Love it and will continue going back a couple times a year!!

This place is so fantastic. The river is beautiful and so peaceful. We saw lots of wildlife. The canoes etc were in great shape. Staff is super helpful.

Plenty of boats and wide enough for groups. Great staff. If you like turtles and alligators, plenty of turtles.

Great place to go kayaking. The river is rather slow, but that isnt necessarily a bad thing. You put in and get out of the river in the same location, which means that you wont travel as far, but also makes it easier to find on the way back.

Staff couldve been more friendlier and upbeat. No handle on the staircase down to mount the canoes. Waters were merky and buggy.just grateful we had a sun shiny day!

The staff at Nashoba Paddler are friendly and well-versed in paddle-sport. They spend a good deal of time instructing and sharing with those willing to learn- whether at their launch on West Main St or during their environmental classroom sessions, guided tours, or camp sessions. Canoes, kayaks and SUPs (thats Stand-Up Paddleboards for the unitiated) are available for rent at reasonable rates. It is the tours that I believe are the best opportunity-and the full moon tours might be my favorite. Give them a try and you likely will go back again and again.

Very different tour to do here in Groton MA. They rent the Kaiak and give instructions on how to do it. You dont have a set time to return the kayak and finish the tour, you can stay until you can stand rowing.
