I was in need of a new dentist. I havent had a dentist Ive been truly happy with, since relocating to Indiana 14 years ago. I had my initial consultation with Dr. Brar this week. My son broke his tooth while he was playing and it was after hours which meant most places were closed and I was having a hard time finding a dentist that could see him at 7:00 at night. I called gentle dentals office explain to them what was going on and the dentist without us ever being a patient waited for us to come and stayed open a little bit later just so he can look at my sons mouth to see if the tooth was fixable or not. Unfortunately the tooth couldnt be saved but I appreciate him so much and his staff for waiting for us even though we were not even a patient of his. I think Im going to be changing my childrens dentist and start coming here because I appreciate everything they did yesterday and it truly shows how caring of a dentist he is. Like I said we were not his patients and it was after 7:00 when we got there and he waited for us because he wanted to make sure my kids tooth was going to be ok. I also forgot to mention that their regular pediatric dentist still has not returned my phone call about the broken tooth SMH I highly recommend this dentist office!!!

Did not like the experience I had here, first appointment all they did was take some quick X-rays and set up an appointment to go back... thought it was normal to get a basic cleaning at least in? That never happened. Also a bit uncomfortable being cramped in a tiny room that clearly isn’t meant for a dental office lol went in 2 weeks later for a filling, the dentist scheduled me and another patient at the same time, his jumping back and forth didn’t seem very professional to me. Also, after he finished the procedure he seemed to have forgotten what he’d done since he told the assistant I had reached the limit procedures on my insurance (which I hadn’t), then he ran off to his next patient. I do not recommend... after this I decided to go somewhere else and had a much better experience, even got some VERY important feedback that this dentist failed to provide.Teeth are super important, I recommend you go somewhere that actually cares about them and isn’t more concerned about how many patients they can get in at once.

Would highly recommend this dentist. By far the best I’ve found in northwest Indiana. I’ve gone to a few now and this ones the most comfortable experience I’ve had. The first time I went in there was for a wisdom tooth removal and they got me in right away and helped me get the tooth pulled and I didn’t feel it, the numbing wasn’t even as bad as I thought it would be. Gentle in every sense of the word. I was so nervous about the procedure but it was over in no time at all. Dr. Brar is a really great dentist. And the receptionists are nice people. I found it affordable for not having dental insurance. Overall great place.

If I could give more stars to Dr. Brar and his team I would. I went here for wisdom teeth extraction and I couldn’t be happier with the care I received here. Top to bottom from the consultation to the post surgery care, the team here is above and beyond professional and dedicated to customer care. I even received a call the same evening of my surgery from Dr. Brar just checking in and making sure I was doing well. Despite having my my wisdom teeth removed, I didn’t feel or experience any pain and I attribute that to his expertise. If you have the option to go here, do it. Every other office should be evaluated with NOS as the standard. The experience was wonderful.Thank you.

First visit to the office today, the staff was very friendly, careing and helpful. No work has been done yet but a complete exam was done and everything was explained to me. I am a big baby when it comes to the dentist but I feel comfortable returning to proceed in getting the work done.

I wanted to give a review on this dentist because the quality and care this doctor gave on my first visit was impeccable, which is rare to find. I need extensive work done, and he explained everything he was going to do in detail. He spent nearly an hour going over any fears or concerns, as well as explaining the process. His bedside manner was very kind and warm. The whole staff was so sweet. I cannot recommend this dentist office enough. I will update after the work is done...It is now a few weeks later, 1-5-19. I already got the extensive work finished. I am extremely pleased and grateful for the end result. There is a reason this dentist has 37 5 star reviews. I just love the staff here also. I have never in my life enjoyed going to the dentist, but I can honestly say I enjoy going there. I would totally and8 have recommended this dentist to anyone looking.

Appointment date 6/29/20I had my first appointment with Dr. Brar yesterday after being referred by my insurance company. I was very pleased with my visit! Dr. Brar is very thorough in his examination and in the way he explains his suggested treatment plan. He took his time with my examination and explained all details of his findings. He seems to be very knowledgeable in his field, and also in dealing with his patients insurance companies and in what services are covered/allowed. It is a blessing to find doctors who care about their patients! I am scheduled to start my treatment with Dr. Brar and I am very happy with the pricing that I was quoted with. Ive been to a few other places and their prices are ridiculous! I am getting everything I need done for half of what I was quoted at these other dental offices. Dr. Brars assistant at the front desk is also very nice and was very understanding when I called to say I was running behind. Overall Im very happy to have found Smiles by Gentle Dental!

I got my wisdom tooth pulled out along with filling up of one jaw. Dr. Brar did it very nicely and gently. Even I couldn’t Felt any pain during and after and in few minutes the tooth was out. I appreciate the services given by Smiles by Gentle Dental.

It’s a nice place smells good when you walk in. I have been there about 4 years now. There is a new doctor nirmaldeep, he is very nice and friendly. He knows what he doing. They took my insurance, and that was good. And I recommend this place.

The staff was friendly, offered my waiting 5 and 7 year olds coloring sheets and sharpened the colored pencils without seeming like it was a task. We had a pleasant visit. Hello my name is Sandra Vasquez and I have a huge complaint. I was a patient of yours and came to you with many dental issues. I had many teeth that were busted and had cavities. I came to you recommended by your reviews. I know my teeth were bad and I was hesitant to come to any dentist not knowing what the outcome would be. I finally got the nerve to go and when I met you I was amazed at how God fearing you were. I was still second guessing myself but I felt that you seemed to be a good person.I was informed by you that there were many teeth that had to be pulled including the ones in the front of my mouth. I had one pulled and told you no on the other ones. I was told that I needed to get them removed and that they could not be saved. You also informed me on several occasions that I would need to have all my teeth removed and that we needed to discuss dentures. I was freaked out and left thinking to myself I dont want to be stuck with dentures, but if I have to have all my teeth pulled I am going to wait until they are really bothering me.One month ago I called a new dentist. I called this dentist because I wanted someone who could do the dentures and partials I needed without having to go to several doctors. I was seen and was told that they could save my teeth. I was told that my front teeth (that were worse than when you saw them) were savable and that they probably could have saved all my teeth that you pulled. I was stunned. I was so upset but happy at the same time. I thought to myself this person is awful confident and probably will change all of what he is saying when he starts working on my front teeth. I got my front teeth done yesterday. they were not only savable but I have my smile back. I have no dentures and my teeth look amazing. I actually cried when I saw them thinking I cant believe I have my smile back. I sit here now writing this thinking to myself I could have went back to you and you would have pulled all my teeth. I dont understand how two dentist can have such a different outlook on someones mouth.I know that I will have to have partials for all the teeth you pulled and it saddens me that knowing my financial situation(being on HIP insurance) that you wouldnt have tried to fix my teeth. I just wonder how many others have gone to you and walked out like I did that day knowing all your teeth couldnt be saved. I am so upset over all of this and feel like it probably dont matter to you but it matters to me. I am a single mother with 3 kids and I work my butt off to make ends meet and although I am not financially able to afford dental work like most I am a human being who trusted you.I am at a loss for words at this point. I wish I would have never stepped into your office. I ended up paying you for some of the work. I will never get my teeth back or will I ever be able to truly understand why you did this. I sure hope that you think twice before getting yourself involved with patients like myself. I hope you recommend them to a dentist that actually takes the time for everyone no matter what their financial situation is.I wouldnt even give one star but it makes me to post this....

This place needs more than 5 stars for Dr.Brar . I got 1 tooth extracted today, and he did them with no problem. I didn’t have any pain during and only minimal pain afterwards. He also did it super fast. It took him about 7-10 minutes max for both. The staff is very friendly here as well and so was Dr. brar:) I would definitely recommend coming here!

For 56 years I have been afraid of the dentist!! Not anymore!! Dr.Brar has changed my life. I haven’t smiled this much in years!! I just had gotten two fillings done today, unfortunately, but it was painless and I was taken care of very gently by Dr. Garza. Shes a really great woman and shows you whats wrong with your teeth and tells you how to prevent anymore damage to your teeth.

Where do I start. About a year ago I decided to visit this place so that I could get my teeth cleaned. I had recently received health and dental insurance so I figured why not take advantage . After they examined my teeth, it was recommended to me that I get every tooth in my mouth filled because of cavities. Prior to my visit, I hadnt been to the dentist in years so I most definitely wasnt familiar with there formalities in regards to dentist upselling you on more dental work than you originally came in for. I had no pain, tooth aches, discoloration or anything. I let the doctor fill in cavities on my left side which turn out to be a nightmare because she was having so much trouble getting to the spots where she wanted to drill. Before I left the office they were already scheduling an appointment to do the right side. However, after three weeks I couldnt eat on my left side which continues until this day. I visited other dentist office to get a second opinion and was stunned to know that I now needed a root canal due to the fact of compromised nerves during my original filling treatment. Also, they continue to call me and even sent me an additional bill that was not covered by my insurance. When I asked them to explain to me this additional bill. I was told that the additional billing was because the dentist had to use more medicine than she originally uses. Im still laughing at that b.s ..However that bill was eventually waived because I agreed to continue to use them as my dental office of choice. My wife also visited the dentist a couple weeks after me and had similar problems. She ultimately visited another dentist to get the dental work done over because of severe pain in the same tooth that was filled at this location.

I really appreciate the service I received. I had a badly decayed molar, the result of an uncapped root canal from years ago at another dentist. All the other dentists I called to make an appointment, once hearing about the tooths condition, told me I would have to see an oral surgeon (which my insurance would not cover). But Gentle Dental got me in same-day, and after examining the molar Dr. Brar gave me several options. I chose the extraction, which I knew would be challenging. It was a complicated extraction, but Dr. Brar did it competently, and with no pain for me. It is now 4 days later, I have almost completely healed, and I am SO RELIEVED to have that tooth out of my mouth. Thank you Gentle Dental, and Dr. Brar!
