The staff here are nice and trying to do the best they can given how busy they can get. My eye exam and ordering glasses went great. Theyve organized the store by glasses shape and price not brand.i would note that calling the phone doesnt connect you to a real person so thats frustrating and you have to book appt online which was somewhat of a hassle. But overall I would still give five stars, great location and selection. Staff are nice too

I have always gotten my glasses here, loved the service and selection. Plus, when my glasses broke and I went in to ask if they could fix them to put the lens back in, it was done in less than 10 minutes. That guy was awesome.

Very poor customer service at this location. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses, sun glasses and regular progressive. Sun glasses were fine but the other was out of focus and lights were double vision. Adjusted 3 times, had to return to the store twice, without fixing them, the guy helping me said the glasses were made correctly and wouldn’t remake the lens. The sign on the wall of the store touted a guarantee to fix them if not happy but he didn’t want to. Don’t count on them doing the guarantee, it means NOTHING. I got a refund on both sets and will go to a different company for glasses. Would not recommend them even to my worst enemy.

Was in a car accident and the air bags broke my glasses. Took them in to get fixed (since I thought it would just be hardware) - apparently not fixable. They were very helpful in finding me the same pair of frames and fixed my glasses! Only took them 5 minted!

Trying to talk to someone about an eye exam, there was no option to speak to a person, it just kept referring you to the website. Then when you hit 0 it just says “thank you for using auto-attendant, goodbye”.I’m sorry to say that doesn’t help at all and a family of 3 all needed new exams and glasses.

I never write negative reviews but I feel swindled right now so here we go.I first came here 2 years ago using OHP. everything was good and my daughter chose glasses. OHP covers 69.99 of the frames, so if people choose that tier, the frames are free for them. We chose 99.00 frames and I paid the difference after what OHP covered.Cue last month.. My daughter and I went back to update her glasses using ohp. We again chose a little more expensive frames and the lady said we could pay the difference. Suddenly, some other guy shouts from across the room that we cant do that and its cheating the system.. Basically, if we didnt choose the cheap frames, ohp wouldnt cover ANY of it. I brought up that I didnt think that was right because people can always pay out of pocket past insurance coverage. The lady said sometimes things change. I ended up paying the full 99.99 for the frames that I should have only had to pay $30 for. I also was very clear that we didnt want blue light glasses and they still added that.So, my sister went there today with her daughter. Same situation, same insurance. They told her it was totally fine to use ohp and pay the difference and she did just that.Basically, they stole 70 from me and who knows, probably pocketed it. I will be filing a complaint regarding insurance coverage and will never go back.

My glasses broke yesterday, putting me in a bit of a tight spot. I figured being this close to Christmas I was SOL. Fortunately they were open on Christmas Eve. James greeted me and instantly set to work making things right. He went above and beyond and was cheerful, helpful and friendly. He made sure I got what I needed and I was happy.

Probably the best experience I have had in over 50 years of buying eyeglasses.. Competitive pricing and experienced, knowledgeable, helpful and engaged service representative (Ron). And a big plus is something that is probably overlooked by many people who are on medicare and have had cataract surgery.. Medicare pays a substantial portion of the cost of new glasses after surgery. Most retailers simply say they will not be involved in billing Medicare (Americas Best, Costco, and others), but these folks took care of it all and saved me a bundle!!! You can bet that I will be back here !! Oh, and a huge selection of frames and discounts on a second pair that is really hard to beat!

Great place to get new glasses. Very wide selection of frames to choose from. After multiple visits trying to find the right frame. Staff was very patient and helpful. Enjoyed working with Hillary. She was very knowledgeable in her work and helped us find the perfect frame and explained things accurately in terms what what my insurance would cover.

I have been coming to the Gresham Vision Works for about two years now. Every time I go, I have had nothing but a positive experience. The team who runs the sales floor is always professional and go above and beyond for the customer. The doctors section also has been pleasant and easy. This is the only eye place I will ever go to again!

We walked in this weekend with a broken pair of glasses. The staff acknowledged us immediately and said someone would be with us shortly, which happened within about 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we were heading out the door with glasses repaired at no charge. Very positive experience, friendly and helpful associates and very organized!

James helped and I felt as if we were friends from high school, showed me some frames and fell in love with the second pair showed to me. After receiving a response from the owner to email customer service I did and didnt receive any response other than an automated they received my email. Next stop is BBB.My experience while there was pleasant however I had asked if there was anyway to expedite because I had broken my glasses and need them for everything. I was told no it would be 10 to 14 days. this was on a Monday so the following Friday 11 days later I called to get status and was told the order wasnt placed until Saturday 5 days after my appointment. This is causing my order to take 3 weeks. that is 3 weeks of headaches.

I brought my daughter in for an eye exam and I have never seen a dirtier clinic. Also, They were so busy the doctor barely spent 5min with my daughter. To top it off they made the glasses wrong. Never again.

If I could rate zero I WOULD. I worked with Brandy and she was AMAZING, however the general manager DAVID that was helping (WAS NOT helping). I can not believe how he was talking to her while ringing everything up. I would have not even known she was new until he came over to belittle her the whole way while ringing me up. I felt sorry for her and that she has to work for such an unprofessional manager. If I had my own business I would have offered her a new job.

This is my first negative review ever for anything. Ive purchased glasses from Visionworks at least three times and always bought two pairs since the second pair is at a discount. So must have spent a good $2,000 there. Neither of the last two pairs of glasses that I last purchased worked out. I returned there about ten days AFTER the 30 day guarantee expired. Since you try and adjust to your glasses for at least two weeks it is really like a two week return policy. Anyway I was outside the return policy time frame and there is no flexibility, no budging, no nothing. Also they looked at my glasses and said they were fine. The eye doctor there looked at my glasses and my eyes and he also said they were fine. But meanwhile I went and bought a magnifying glass to help me see close up and cannot wear them to see the computer monitor at work AT ALL nor to read books or magazines AT ALL so basically I have two very expensive long distance glasses for driving and movies. The place is a factory and you can expect to wait in line for long periods of time and while you will be treated courteously by the staff just be aware that there will be no real consideration if you have a problem like I did. Today I was at a different optometry (eye wear) shop and they could see that my lenses were set too low in the frames. After about 9 months Im still pretty frustrated so thought I would share this so you can have my experience in mind when you are deciding if you want to spend your hard earned money there (or not). Im not saying they are worse than any other production factory business that stands by its rules (and profits)regardless of the disappointment that a loyal customer might experience, they are probably average and I admit that I should have returned there ten days sooner, but for the thousands Ive spent there it sure hasnt been worth it.

Ive been coming here for a couple years now for myself and have always had a good experience, but today was truly above and beyond. We were having issues with our insurance and finally made the decision just to pay out of pocket for my sons glasses. I explained a little of our troubles to this location and they immediately told us about a deal, and made an exception so that bifocals wouldnt cost us even more. Ron was amazingly helpful at assisting my 4 year old in finding frames he liked that also fit well, and was patient while my son tried on probably 45 pairs. The service today was full of compassion and care, and for that reason we will now only be going to the Gresham Visionworks. Thank you again Ron!

I had a screw fall out of my glasses that caused my lense to come out. I was able to take them to visionworks for repair and was out within minutes with them fully repaired, cleaned, and adjusted by David for free! Wonderful service!

I must say that Kelly and the staff at vision works were amazing.I had two failed attempts with different doctors at my home in laquinta .I figured they were irritating my eyes because of the dry weather there .Wasnt the best experience at the Dr. But I am not one just a pitch out a bad review.Back to the positiveThe eye doctor @v isioworks was fantastic he really caredAfter finding out my prescription he placed the contact lenses in my eyes with ease and I went throughout the day not even realizing they were in.Heading up today to get my free trial to make sure that my prescription is correct before I purchase them .I am so excited to be able to part with my glasses.Thank you vision works of Gresham sincerelyKim Wardle~

Already had my prescription, so went in for the buy on get on free. James was very nice and helpful. I was there on a Friday and both pairs were ready for pick up the following Tuesday. When I went back, again I was immediately greeted and taken back to Lynnde, who help get my glasses fitted correctly. She was very friendly and professional. It was a pleasure doing business here. Still getting use to my glasses. So far, so good!

Terrible customer service. I asked about shaving down my lenses and they got agitated. Ron, good ol Ron, said he explained everything at my appointment but did not and instead he told me at my appointment that a bigger frame would suit my lenses and that they would shave down the lenses. They did not. They said there is nothing to do except spend $55 more on a different type of lenses he didnt go over at my first appointment or buy a smaller frame which made no sense. If my old eye doctor could shave down my lenses and make them fit in bigger frames, why are is Ron saying its impossible? They dont care, thats why. They already got their money. Not returning here, neither is my husband.

Stopped in today to get an adjustment on my two pair of glasses. Mind, I did not purchase my glasses there, (I got them from an online place) but these people are not going to refuse to adjust them for that reason. Ive gone to their store for this purpose several times and am always treated in a kindly manner. I would give them 10 stars if I could, they are just that good. General Manager, DAVID BRUCE, is SUPER FRIENDLY and EFFICIENT. Hes also familiar with local eye doctors if you care to name drop. You will be welcomed with no judgement at this store. Long story short, if you are needing a professional adjustment on your glasses, this is the place to go to. David and his crew are all knowledgable professionals who will treat you right, and really, isnt that what we all want from a business?

This Vision Works is amazing! I had to get glasses for my 3 year old (not an easy task) but everyone at this location went above and beyond expectations to help find the right glasses for my daughter. We ended up with 2 pair for the price of 1, we couldnt be happier!Hillary was amazing, my daughter even gave her a hug.Linda was the rep that put our prescription in and measured my daughters eyes. She is really good with my kids.Miranda even brought out a toy so both my daughters could play during the whole process!Like I said above and beyond!I am telling everyone to go to Vision Works in Gresham even if you dont need glasses!!

I’ve been wearing glasses for years but for some reason, Dave, the manager just can not order my glasses correctly. It’s been two weeks and I can’t see without them! I’ve called but he and others I speak to Visionworks just say it’s coming. Really awful customer service. Save yourself a trip and go somewhere else.

I have had my glasses for years and years. I keep my frames and go in annually to have my lenses changed out. Recently, my plastic frames ended up under a rocking chair! They didnt break, but they were severely warped. I went into Visionworks on my lunch break and Dave immediately fixed them and got me on my way. They sit better than they have in a very long time and it took hardly any time out of my day.

Ive had my eyes checked 4 times and each time the prescription would cause headaches but I got my eyes checked here and my glasses here a few weeks ago and so far its been perfect!! Also the people who work there were super helpful and patient about me picking out glasses, I took like 40minutes lmao but they didnt even mind :))

Please believe the bad reviews... I went here only because they can bill my insurance direct, Americas Best cant. To spare you the whole story they were rude, impatient and charging way to much for services I have never heard of. When I asked them why, the response was only, it is office policy. When I said well I can go to this place and all of that is included they replied with, then maybe I should go there. I left feeling ripped off, pissed off and disappointed I didnt walk out.Update- I went somewhere else to get my glasses due to the horrible service, $ 400 later buying 3 new pairs of glasses I find out the prescription Vision Works did was wrong !!!! I had a nice deal on my glasses so I decided to purchase them. Then the fitting was ok but when I came back to have an adjustment of my glasses and they told me they were fine. So it didn’t get done. Then after that (everything was fairly close to picking them up) my glasses started getting scratches. I take good care of my glasses. So I went back and when I asked if they got the scratch resistant stuff on and they said yes. I know lens Crafters does what I pay for. Plus the glass frame is good. After having them just a few months I had scratches lots of them. PLUS Today I found the frames have RUST on them!! Wouldn’t happen with Lens Crafters. They are speedy but I can wear them for 2 years. This review is on Vision WorksI just used lens Crafters for an example. Not to promote them.
