I cannot say enough about Dr. Petshow. I was extremely nervous about getting my Covid vaccination, and Im so glad I decided to get it here. Because of my anxiety, I ended up needing some extra care and Dr. Petshow could not have been kinder about it all. She was so helpful, showed no judgement, and went above and beyond. Love this place . My father goes her religiously. He has had back issues his whole life and says this place is the best he has ever been to. Drop down table is the way to go and doc fixes my pain everytime without any aggressive or awkward twisting like other places. They are expanding the practice and we are excited.

Dr. Whitaker is extremely knowledgeable. Not only does he take his time figuring out what is wrong, but also explains what he is doing every step of the way and why it helps. You never feel rushed through the treatment. At the end of the visit, he lets you know about the treatment plan and what you can to do between treatments for continued care.

Im so happy I found Dr. Whitaker. Hes a super knowledgeable chiropractor with a magic touch! I came to see him first about six months ago during a period of intense work stress which had made my neck & back very tense and ridiculously painful. Within a couple of sessions, Dr. Whitaker had my neck & back moving more fluidly and most importantly with much less pain. It was amazing! Ive seen several chiropractors throughout my life, but I never felt results like this so quickly. Not only does Dr. Whitaker help with the primary issues, he looks at the whole picture of your body and even suggests exercise you can practice at home for pain relief and daily maintenance. Further, he actually takes care and time with each visit, uses various therapies depending on the issue at hand, and he *really* listens. Through his attentiveness and attention to details he gets to the source of the problem. Your spine & body will be in excellent hands with Dr. Whitaker!

Powell valley chiropractic is my new favorite place! I was in a world of pain just 2 weeks ago. Since then every session at Powell valley chiropractic has seen a vast improvement! Im feeling so good now that I can almost make it through an entire day of work pain free! Ive lived with back pain for 22 years now. Sometimes i think outs pretty weird waking up in the morning not groaning in agony, but I like it!

I had been a patient of the former Dr. (name withheld) for some time, so when he sold his practices to Dr. Whitake I thought it would be a good time to find another chiropractor closer to where I lived. However, before I could do that, I received a postcard mailer entitling me to a free visit. Why not give the new team a try, I thought.When I called to make my appointment, I said I was calling because I had revived the promotion, to which the receptionist said they were happy their marketing was working.A few months after my appointment I started receiving invoices in the amount of $45.00. When I eventually called them, I was transferred to an office manager who was rude and confrontational. She told me they never sent out any such promotions and accused me of lying. And before long, she sent me another invoice with a handwritten message in purple ink saying, still owe then she drew her version of a happy face.Then my account was sent to a collection agency for $45.00.The Truth-in-Advertising law provides clear guidelines under the direction of the Federal Trade Commission to help safeguard consumers from predatory behavior. While I do not believe Dr. Whitake had/has knowledge of this incident, he does hold the final responsibility over the actions of his employees.Furthermore, it is these types of unethical customs in which principled chiropractic practitioners have been trying to distance themselves from for decades. Sadly, this clinic may find its road to legitimacy has more speed bumps than expected.Key Points:- The promotion was presented at the time of the apt.- If the promotion was not valid, best practices ought to have been following, i.e. a discussion on alternative payment options such as insurance, cash, etc. This is especially the case when a practice changes hands and/or when there is change in payment structure.

Had chronic migraines for years (3 to 4 a week) Dr. Whitaker helped reduce that to maybe 4 a year. Highly recommended!

I have been a patient of Dr Whitaker since he came to this practice. I have always been skeptical of chiropractors since the ones i have seen in the past just focus on your spine. Dr Whitaker changed my opinion completly. I have suffered from shoulder pain for the past 10 years and was told by a surgeon i would require surgery. After imaging on my shoulders Dr Whitaker said i might not need surgery and we have been working in my shoulders for a few months and my daily pain levels have dropped dramatically.His whole body approach to chiropractic has been life changing for me. Add to the fact that he is a younger Dr and will be around running his clinic for decades to come makes him and his clinc the perfect place for me. I work in the construction field and I am confident that he will help me with my aches and pains for years to come.
