Had an appointment to get injections in my back so I arrived at 12:00 and my appointment was at 1:30. I checked in at the clinic and sat around in an uncomfortable seat when you have low back problems. 1:50 tolls around and I go back up to check in to see what was taking so long. The lady tells me I am next in line to be seen. The lady then tells me I need to go down to the other end of the building for my appointment. I walk down there and find out they canceled my appointment because they thought I did not show up. I told the other lady I was waiting for an hour and a half and nobody told me to walk down to her side of the building. She informed me the doctor left for the day and I would have to reschedule. I think a simple step to prevent this would be a courtesy phone call asking if I was possibly at the hospital already. Would have saved me the pain, discomfort, and time I spent pointlessly sitting around hoping I would have my issues resolved. Now I have to miss training I was supposed to attend for work because of fault that was not my own.

They have always been fast thorough and efficient with my time my needs and questions.

Dont waste your time. The PAs and M.Ds are not invested in your care; they push you through as quickly as possible and then neglect your follow up care; ignored my concerns and brushed off my symptoms. I was also disappointed with the lack of timely scheduling and return calls; lack of empathy in their care.

If I could give no stars I would. I went in 2 years ago as an emergency patient and was assigned to Dr. Jasper. I never went back and didnt require a follow up. I went back for another emergency visit 3 months ago and I was only allowed to see Dr. Jasper. He spent all of 2 minutes with me, ordered an MRI, and ordered PT. PT hurt me so bad I would have went to the hospital if it hadnt been for COVID I would have called the ambulance to take me. I went back to Dr. Jasper and explained the numbness I still had in my leg and released me and told me I didnt need to be seen any more. My leg is still numb from the herniated disc 3 months later. When I asked him about it he told me either to live with it or see another Dr. to figure it out. When I requested a copy of the MRI (which was done at Ortho Indy) I was told I had to pay for it first ($675)- so I had to wait 2 months to be billed. I paid it right away and called and left a message to find out when my MRI was going to be sent. I just got a return phone call today saying they would not send my MRI until I paid another $24.09. I said I would pick it up and they said it would be another $20.00 to pick up and I could only pick up at the Northwest location. So I paid the $24.09 and asked for a paid receipt but I was told they could not send me a receipt I would have to log in and retrieve from ROI. So I did and guess what - there is no receipt - who knows if I will ever receive my MRI so I can go to a different doctor that may actually care about what is going on with me......Beyond frustrated....

My experience with my shattered calcaneuos was as good as I could have hoped for. Thank you Dr. Brokaw, Jodi Friege and the countless other staff who made my recovery as good as it could have been.

The doctor I saw was arrogant, did NOT want to explain anything to me, talked down to me, and treated me like a child. Had NO compassion. Their office has NOT filed ANY of my workmans comp paperwork in a timely manner, which has delayed my checks and prevented me from being able to pay my bills in a timely way. Have NOT been able to reach a human on the phone to discuss this matter, left messages, have yet to receive a call back. Do NOT go the this place!!!!

I seen Bryan McFarland at night after my back went out. The whole staff including Bryan was really nice and caring. The best medical facility Ive ever been to. Thanks for taking great care of me!

I had an appointment with Dr. Justice on 03/13/2020; he was fabulous. Not only did he share his professional, and the need for further testing, he related to me in people terms.I asked him to explain AVN and once he did, I truly understood what my condition was in real time. Dr. Justice also explained what tests were necessary to determine my hip diagnosis. I am so very impressed! Thank you Dr. Justice and IndyOrtho!

I have had multiple experiences with another provider and came here looking for a different opinion and am angry at myself for not coming sooner. From the person that answers the phone to the nursing staff and doctors incredibly professional, caring and friendly. Dr Lavery spent an extended amount of time consulting with me and never acted like he had anywhere else to be. His support staff squeezed me in and the surgery experience was top shelf. Patient for life!

Woman tried to diagnose me over the phone. She diagnosed me incorrectly. This space is extremely unprofessional. I was put on hold for over 20 minutes tried calling multiple times only to be hung up on for no reason 3 different times while on hold. She kept explaining to me what a humerus is...yes lady I understand what bones are where...I may be 24 but I dont deserve to be spoken to like a child and then misdiagnosed.....next time just listen to your patient.

I received good care at the Ortho Indy South side but was billed for services I did not receive. I would suggest to always ask for an itemized billing. I cannot say whether the charges were fraudulently intentional or a mistake but I was over charged over $1300 for service I did not receive. Be careful, I think this happens a lot in the medical field.

Rude employees. I kept trying to ask a question and 3 different people just kept talking over me never getting my question answered. I called and was hung up 3 different times. This place is a jokeeeeeeeeee.

Couldn’t be more satisfied with the care my wife received here. The wait was quick and the staff went out of their way to care for her. They were very knowledgeable. Will make the drive and recommend the drive here from Columbus for any orthopedic injuries.

I am truly astounded by the negative reviews people have posted about this wonderful place. Ive had multiple surgical procedures here, and I have always been treated with an incredible amount of care and compassion. They have taken my complicated orthopedic condition very seriously and have done everything they possibly can to help me. I have had 5 knee surgeries and OrthoIndy is by far my favorite facility, and the only place in the USA with a doctor who was able to help me. I will always come back to Dr. Farr at OrthoIndy!

Im very happy with my experience at OrthoIndy. Before I even went into their office at Urgent Care, I called to make sure that my insurance was accepted and was helped without any hesitation. Once I arrived at the Urgent Care OrthoIndy, I was taken back within 10 minutes of checking in, given x-rays that took no time at all, followed by a splint to my pinky and wrist that was administered with the utmost care. I would definitely recommend OrthoIndy for your next visit to an urgent facility.

Clean fast efficient and friendly staff however I did not receive a medication I was getting that I needed now I really need it and Im not able to be seen.But I have confidence they will help me as they have put up with me for the last few months and have been overall accommodating and helpful

I recently seen Dr. Gabriel Jackson for a second opinion. He was thorough, very personable and I trust his medical opinion or any of the docs here wholeheartedly. Weve had many family members go here and theyre the best imo!

Dr. Myer was excellent. He truly listened and answered questions to our satisfaction. We felt very comfortable, his demeanor was not rude or condescending. Kevin his assistant treated us in a way as if we were visiting family. The clinic was very clean and overall Dr. Myer and his staff eased our anxieties. We would not hesitate to recommend him and OrthoIndy to anyone.

I had put surgery off until I couldn’t stand it any longer. When I went for my appointment for evaluation, I remember thinking “ this place is like a well oiled machine “. By that I mean it seems that each person has a task and performs it perfectly. I saw Dr O’Neil He has an amazing bedside manner and makes you feel as thought you are the most important patient he has. Definitely listens intently to what you are saying. ( something I have found very rare ). The surgery went as perfect as possible. The nurses that took care of me were amazing.I have told anyone that I know how professional Ortho Indy is and my biggest regret is that I didn’t go and see Dr. O’Neil much sooner!Dr O’Neil , Eric and all of your staff you are the best ! Called to get an appointment for multiple problems and there is no one to do this. I really need to know what to do first. I have my referral from my doctor but because it is not faxed from my doctor this will not work. I have the mr number for my medical records but ortho indy south is unable to call them for the records. I guess my MRI is too old so I cant see a doctor. Not sure why ortho indy south will not take an extra step to help me I am disabled and they make it hard.

I just had dry needle therapy for first time, I thank Joe on south side . My shoulder and arm feels so much better. Would definitely do it again!!!

Spinal fusion done 3/9/18 Dr ONeill was awesome! Great nurses and PAs also. Doing therapy now hoping to be able to finish my next year and a half carrying mail before retirement!

I had my first MRI today and was very apprehensive. The minute I arrived I was met by a friendly receptionist named Libby. She directed me to Stacye who registered me and answered several questions and discussed some post surgery things to help me. We had a nice conversation about chlostrophobia that included laughter and put me more at ease👍. My last stop was with Rachel, the MRI Technologist. She was very attentive to my worries, explained how she was going to do certain things to get me through the test and proceeded to follow through on each and everyone of them. As a result the test turned out to be NO PROBLEM👌👏.If needed again, there is no doubt in my mind that this is where I will have my MRI done,Thank you to the three professionals who worked with me.Most appreciatively, Carl Benson.

Dr justice did a hip replacement Feb 2014 and knee in July of 2014. Follow ups as scheduled. April 2016, couldnt be in better shape for age 72. Dr Justice and his staff were great. Realize can not please everyone all the time, but that is anywhere, ortho Indy was good for me and would recommend them anytime.

The doctors are great! Ive been coming here for awhile. But the wait is terrible. I always seem to have to wait 30 to 50 minutes just to be seen. Sometimes they will take you back and they say The doctor will be in in just a minute then its 20 minutes later when they actually come in. Great place but a long wait.

Dr Falender at Ortho Indy South is incredible! I give him a 10 star rating! He is the reason I can continue working in Dental Hygiene! Thanks Dr Falender!

Clean place and the physicians know what theyre talking about, but it was absolutely RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE. Had to pay over $1200 for an x-ray and 2 check-up visits for a minor sports injury. Of course if I had received a bill sooner (it took over a year to receive all of the separate bills) and known how much they charged, I would not have taken my other child in for her sports injury, for which I had to pay another $740 for diagnosis and follow up visit. Basically $350-$425 for each minor 15 min. visit.

The staff is nice and treatment we received was just fine, but their billing is atrocious. A year after service, we receive another bill...they gave me the run around saying something about seeing multiple Doctors, and that insurance just now got back to them, so I was charged more. I didnt choose that, that was how they set their operations up. Beware of billing! We are now paying hundreds more than they originally billed us for.

I was referred to their Walk-In Clinic for a broken ankle. I found the staff to be professional, pleasant and attentive. They took care of me quickly.... in and out in less than 1 hour.I didnt feel rushed, I felt like they were just getting down to business, which I appreciated!I will return and will recommend them in the future.

Terrible service. As a first time patient I will never come here again. There was no directions. Dr. Farr needs to work on his doctor patient relationship and his team.

I cant recommend this place enough. I tore my Achilles on a Sunday after Christmas and visited on the following Monday. They were able to get me in a boot to immobilize me and got me setup for an appointment with the Doctor. I was scheduled for surgery on the 5th of January and they did an amazing job. The staff was fantastic and very kind. The surgeon, Dr. Justice did a fantastic job on the Achilles and the physical therapist said that my recovery was phenomenal. I attribute that to the excellent job of the surgeon and staff at OrthoIndy.I look forward to getting fully released to run and jog again, but the fact that just a few months after my injury, I am able to walk and play with my kids is amazing.

I’m a runner turned cyclist, both on and off road. Over the years I’ve had 2 great experiences at Methodist Sports Med, 1 good and 1 bad at Ortho Indy. Ortho Indy South has pleasant and efficient staff. I had an appointment with Dr. Monesmith which was somewhat helpful but seemed rushed. I had more questions so I made a 2nd appointment 1 week later. I sensed a dismissive attitude, then he told me he hates cyclists, and... ( I won’t add the last comment here. ) That struck me as highly unprofessional and removed any confidence that this physician had my best interests in mind. I’ll be returning to Methodist Sports Medicine for my future needs.Craig Reynolds

I had a total knee replacement 2 years ago and I dont even know that my knee had work done on it. Ortho Indy is the best!

I had dr. Chan , was in pain everyday . My physical therapist told dr. Chan how bad my back was and he didnt care . He looked me in my eyes and said Im fine . One of the worst days Ive had , because it felt like no one understood what I was going through , and still going through . Dr. Chan dont care about helping you and making you better . He will tell you your fine and theres nothing wrong with you .

Horrendous experience. Dr. walked in, looked at my chart, checked the BMI chart, told me to lose 35 lbs, walked out. I found a competent surgeon, who immediately recognized a genetic issue I had, which Ortho Dr didnt see. I had a new hip 2 months later.

Dr. Mark Osbourne was great to listen to my mom and work with her to heal the pain she was having without surgery. He always took the time to listen to her as a patient. Would highly recommend Dr. Osbourne.

They did a great job with both my mom and dads knee surgeries, and they have also taken care of me for a stress fracture and hip problems. They are very professional, clean, and happy to answer any and all questions. They do a very nice job!

Staff was nice, but too many procedures preformed that were completely unnecessary for what I had to have done. Needed to have shots for coccyx pain which took about 5-minutes in a operation room but could have been done in the exam room. All the extra stuff just provided me with a hefty bill of over $4,500.00 in which the procedure didnt work anyway. Just another way of ripping off the patient with high health care cost.

Wanna feel like a number??? This is the place for you. One would think that multiple visits to multiple board-certified osteopathic physicians would be able to identify a fracture in an L5 vertebra... nope. Instead, I got a bunch of VERY frustrating and expensive random guesses, but no actual diagnosis. Got sick of their random guesses and went to different facility and voilà! An ACTUAL diagnosis!!! A complete fracture of one side of the L5 vertebra. Ugh... wasted too much time with Ortho Indys random guesses that treatment options are now limited :-(

I saw Dr Mark Osborne for a recheck weeks after my initial injury . This was my first time seeing him. He was arrogant and dismissive to me and what I had been through. He also changed my previous diagnosis (which was accurate) and In the process openly put down his own colleague who had made the initial diagnosis by stating “they were wrong” while shaking his head vigorously.I am truly upset with how I was treated and how again another male doctor in general just completely blew me off without taking the time to listen.If you are a young woman please see a different doctor.The rest of ortho Indy has been amazing but this experience definitely left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I will not return to him again.

Horrible customer service from the staff. It is mediocre and rude to put it nicely! If you want to talk to you Dr about medical questions plan on it being 3 to 5 days before youre contacted. This was only after calling daily, marking the case as urgent, and contacting customer service! All our appointments have been rushed and not at all informative! At this facility you are nothing but a number that they use to turn a profit! I have not at any point felt like this Dr or his staff have made us a priority to help my husbands injured back....ive never felt so helpless in my life!

Love Dr Chan! Saved me from so much pain - without any surgery!!! Dr Falender fixed my carpal tunnel and while I still have some aches and pains (only 7 weeks out from surgery) I can at least feel my fingers again - yeah!! Thank you both! Oh - and the staff is always super friendly and caring. If you have to wait on one of their busy days, they understand how frustrating that can be and they try to show patience with your busy schedule as well. Great job all the way around!

Appointment with Dr Jasper this afternoon. I literally can’t say enough bad things about this place. We were told to be there at 3:15 - we weren’t seen til 4:15. If I’m respectful of your schedule, be respectful of mine. It seems, based on many other reviews, that this is a pattern with them. The office itself? Beautiful. Office staff was ok. They asked me to prepay my copay. You know I understand expecting payment before I LEAVE the office but before I even lay eyes on the doctor? No that seems so weird. The medical assistant was by far the nicest person we met but she only took weight and height and left us in the room for an eternity whilst he supposedly reviewed the X-rays I brought from another office. Enter who I assume was our doctor? No introduction at all - was already mentally checked out before he started. Waited an hour to even meet the guy so I’m definitely going to elude to the fact that we have had a long wait (which I did). Received no apology - nothing. He was honestly in the room for under 3 minutes and didn’t ask any good questions, said only that he thought my pain was tied to recent workout changes. I’ve had this pain for 30 years so that just tells me you’re not listening and not engaged. Then cop an attitude?!?!? Write a script for PT and anti inflammatory and send me on my way??? Say “come back in 6 weeks.” Ummm for what???? To spend a small fortune on a worthless visit, leave work early, ask my husband to meet me an hour away from home? It’ll be a cold day in hell before I ever step in that office. I relish the opportunity to write a review everywhere I can. Save your money, people!

Front office staff and prep nurse Donna was fantastic! Wait was about an hour. The horrible part was I was to be sedated because there is no way I could handle the procedure! They took me into room and had me pull my pants down with my butt and belly exposed (so humiliating!) Totally disrespecting my dignity. I mentioned that I was so nervous and scared and uncomfortable with being exposed. They said oh well cover you up.....then they gave me a dose a versed helped me feel less anxious. Then Dr. Chan began the procedure. OMG IT REALLY HURT. I told them it was hurting and he said youll be okay. I started crying and they did not give me anything to relieve it. I told him straight up that I was terrified of needles and had low pain tolerance! They only gave me enough versed to feel like I had a couple of beers. I dont consider that sedated! They didnt care!

Dr. Kolisek replaced both of my hips and Is replacing one of my knees soon. I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. I have never had to wait any amount of time at all when I go there. One thing I really really like about Dr. Kolisek is that he says you do not need physical therapy; that you can do it yourself at home. He says if you follow his instructions and do what he tells you you do not need physical therapy. I have always felt PT was purely a ripoff. If you call and need to speak to his NP she always returns your call same day. I do not have one complaint about Ortho Indy.

After having a total hip replacement on June 26th and the suffering a rough fall on Aug. 9, I tried to go to the walk in clinic on Sat, Aug. 18th because pain from the fall was getting worse and not better. I explained this to the person at the front desk. She immediately made the decision, single handedly, I would just need to make an appt for Monday. I explained that I had one for the upcoming Wednesday but I felt like taking an xray might be the next step. She said she would have to check. After waiting for 40 min, a medical assistant came out, explained that they were slammed (one other person in the waiting room) and that there wouldnt be much they could do anyway. I, again, asked if they would at least want to xray and she said no. I never knew being turned away from a walk in clinic could be a thing but apparently it is. Poor customer service and Im a little surprised that medical assistants are making the decision as to who gets seen and who does not. Seems to me someone just wanted an easy Saturday.

This place is a medical joke if I have ever seen one. Terribly rude nurses, reciptionists, anesthesiologist, and doctors. I hate this place so, so much I cant hate it enough.

Dr Steinberg is awful. He has been giving my grandmother cortisone shots for her back pain. Never do they work, but keeps having us come up to get them time and time again. We have talked to him about them not working, but he wants us to keep coming up. Apparently he is more worried about keeping his books full than doing the right thing.His supporting staff is very rude as well. I will keep you from those stories. I do not recommend this facility for any type of follow up care.

Took my wife there after a referal from the ER after a fall she had. They were very unprofessional, and we had to make 3 trips for something the VA hospital could have had done in 1 trip. I got the pleasure of listening to all the office gossip in MRI, and aperantly the multiple xrays from the ER was not good enough either. Im not impressed by this place, but the new building is nice; thats about all that is nice about it.

I have been treated by Dr. Chan for over 8 years @ Ortho Indy South for pain management since I have had back problems and have had 4 surgeries on my back I have had to undergo many injections in different areas of my back and these were performed by Dr. Chan at the Ortho Indy Hospital South. The personnel at the hospital were so caring, very efficient and after so many injections during the 8-10 years I have been treated, they recognized me by name whenever I returned for an injection(s. They are all so efficient and compassionate, understanding, and willing to help me in any way they could. I cant compliment the staff and the physicians enough at this hospital and I have always received excellent care while I was there as well as in follow-up visits with Dr. Chan. Needless to say, my husband and I both have recommended Ortho Indy as well as Ortho Indy Hospital South to our friends and relatives. Keep up the good work!

My wife had her thumb fused by Whitaker.At first nice professional.After he was done seemed he really didnt care.5 months now the wifes hand is all messed up thumb still hurts and she cant close her hand and pink trys to curl up.Where they did the nerve block her shoulder is in constant pain.Everytime we go back its you need more phyical Therapy.She does her therapy at home all the time with no improvement.Thet dont care.

I wouldnt go here if you actually want to be seen by a doctor. Front desk is terrible and rude. Too lazy to actually to call my insurance to verify coverage so they said sorry we cant help ya and went right back to drinking their coffee.

I have been to two ortho indy locations. Both have given me poor, run them through like cattle service, and both physicians I have seen have been rushed, and I would rate their patient interaction as poor. These are ortho injuries that can bring a lifetime of difficulty. patients deserve your undivided attention. I will never return to Ortho Indy.
