It is incredible how often I hear from people who will only trust Dr. Choi with something as important as their spine. I have seen firsthand how much Dr. Choi cares about his patients. He is honest and straightforward and will be by your side for as long as you need him to be. He is a brilliant surgeon and his work amazes me, a med student. He is highly respected in the medical community, and everywhere I go, someone sends their highest regards to Dr. Choi.

Dr Choi is a caring and compassionate man who works miracles for those who need it to live their best lives. “Dave Jones” should be embarrassed for what he wrote when he knows the truth. Shame on you.

Prior to meeting with Dr. Choi I was suffering from severe sciatica and tried different procedures along with cordisone shots. Nothing helped and I was in excruciating pain. Dr. Choi was recommended to me by a co-worker and Dr. Knight who I was seeing previously. From the MRI it was determined to proceed with a microdisectomy. I feel it was a total success. With the PT the leg pains and weakness have gone away. Dr. Choi and staff were very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. They went the extra mile considering I was leaving town in two weeks so they were able to get the hospital scheduled, all post op procedures and surgery done in one week. I would highly recommend him.I was also contacted by Dr. Choi about a review submitted here with the name Dave Jones. They were concerned that my google account was compromised since they didnt have another Dave Jones as a patient. So to clarify not sure who the other Dave Jones is.

His lumbar decompression surgery 16 months ago turned my moderate lumbar back pain into constant severe pain. Im now permanently disabled. He missed removing an obvious bone spur pressing against my L4 nerve root. The bone spur showed up clearly on a 3d image. We discussed it before surgery and he agreed to remove it, but he screwed up and apparently forgot to remove it. Major error! His surgery left permanent nerve and tissue damage. My life is ruined. Choosing Dr. Choi is the worst decision Ive made in my life. Avoid him like the plague. My pain is worse than ever. He denied worsening the pain and he refused to go back in to remove that bone spur. Hes sloppy and doesnt keep his word.AVOID!!!

Dr. Choi is a great doctor. He operated on my cervical and my lumbar spine. He explained very carefully what he was going to do and answered all my questions very patiently. I recommend him highly. The results are excellent. Joseph H. Kurtz, MD

Dr. Choi preformed a microdiscectomy on L5,S1 in 2015. I was using a cane to help with the sciatica nerve pain that radiated down my left leg. He explained the procedure very accurately but did let me know that after looking at my MRI, I had more issues with my lower spine. He is a very conservative surgeon and wanted to address the current pain. After surgery and a 2 week recovery, I was pain free. In 2019, I started to have pain again that I have treated with physical therapy and a TENS unit. This has helped but I will now have Dr. Choi preform a spinal fusion. I have complete confidence that Dr. Choi is the best surgeon to ‘fix’ my back issues. I’ll be back on the slopes by next ski season thanks to his skill.

Dr Choi was able to take care of my L5-S1 fusion after 4 years of pain and misery when no other doctor would take my case on correctly. His professionalism and bedside manner were spot on, his choice of using the hospital in Castle Rock and the relief Ive received from his care have changed my life in such a positive way. I highly recommend Dr. Choi!

I have had 7 spine surgeries with Dr. Choi and I wouldnt go anywhere else. He has literally saved my life twice and he has listened to my concerns and requests since 2007. He is truly the best neurosurgeon in the Rocky Mountains and probably the US.

Dr. Choi is a great doctor. He is conservative and friendly. This is my second surgery with him and I would recommend him to anyone. He is direct and to the point. Dr. Choi is trustworthy and he suggested that I get a second option and I chose not to because he did such a great job on my neck. Thank you Dr. Choi and Marshon!

First time having surgery not to mention on my neck, got recommended to Choi. Long story short, had fusion, surgery of C,5,6,7 vertebrae. Mind you I am a heavy Equipment operator, his office doesnt do long term disability no problem I guess since he says I should be up and running in no time,3months later Im still having complications, I call his office for help on what next they send me to get an EMG study and when the results come in they will call me for mr next step. His office never got back to me, so my wife and I called several times for what seemed for months no answer. EMG study found out I have carpal tunnel syndrome. By now my short term disability is up, I have no income now, his office not returning any of my phone calls for help. Its been 2 years since. My attorney calls for some info on the car accident that sent me too see him,his office calls me for a follow up, meanwhile my condition has worsened, my lawyer says go see him and see if he can help with the case, my condition now is I have 2 bulging disc one in my thoracic and lumbar area which causes me to have pins and needles and numbness in my arm and legs, get to his office with me MRIs report, now Im fighting depression and chronic pain. He being Dr Choi looks at the report and says I have Fibromyalgia. My wife and I mouths dropped! Im still fighting for disability as type this. But now on top of all this I loose my dream job, now Im fighting to keep my Home. The only reason his office called me for a follow up apt was for money and to get me off his books. He may be a good surgeon BUT YOUR BED SIDE MANNER SUCKS! ITS A LOT MORE TOO THIS JUST NO TIME! DR. CHOI YOU ARE HORRIBLE MAN FOR THIS AND YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!

Dr. Choi saved my life. After nearly 4 years of misery and excruciating pain that went undiagnosed and untreated with Kaiser, Dr. Choi correctly diagnosed my problem, got me into surgery, and I woke up pain free and able to walk normally. I cannot thank this man enough for what he did for me, he is absolutely my hero doctor!

I was unlucky enough to need lower spine surgery, but, lucky enough to have Dr. Choi do the surgery!!! I met Dr. Choi in 2016 when he did serious upper spine surgery on me. Discectomy and multiple fusions. He is in my opinion, a tremendous surgeon, with a wonderful way of communicating with his patients. Patiently explains and answers questions in a comfortable and thorough way. He has a wonderful reputation, and it was a comfort to know i was able to have him do this surgery this time. His office is an office of warriors, willing to work on the patients behalf to get these procedures approved through the madness that is the insurance industry. Thank you Dr. Choi and your friendly ,hard working office staff for taking such OUTSTANDING care of me. With much respect and appreciation, Miki DuBois

During a 3 year period of Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Spine Specialist procedures, numerous medications, injections, X-rays, MRIs and Physical Therapy it became obvious that my condition was not going to repair itself without surgical intervention.I suffered from severe cervical stenosis influenced by an auto accident. It was uncomfortable for me to sit for more than 2 hours, some days the nerve pain was so severe it was difficult to function. I had lost dexterity in my hand resulting from the pinched nerves in my spine, simple tasks such as buttoning a shirt became frustrating and complicated. Despite being well into my 40’s, I had not experienced many severe injuries or needed to consult a physician, for anything. Suffice it to say, I was nervous. My initial consultation with Precision Spine included the requisite paperwork. I never got the impression from anyone in the office that they were concerned about anything other than making me better. Upon meeting Dr. Choi, he explained my condition. He showed me the MRI and pointed out the malnormalities. Using models, he explained the procedure and what I could expect as a typical outcome.Given that my MRI was nearly 1 year old. Dr. Choi recommended a new MRI. His office made the appointment for me, all I needed to do was show up. The newer MRI showed the same problem and Dr. Choi again explained the procedure. He answered every single question regardless of how simple and showed true compassion, wanting to make me better. We scheduled the surgery, leaving the choice of hospital up to me.Upon the day of surgery, he and Marshon visited with me prior to the procedure. It was comforting to know that not only does Dr. Choi perform procedures similar to mine every day, but he genuinely cared about my condition. He ensured that the appropriate measures were taken, that I had completed my “homework” and ultimately that I was comfortable.Next thing I know, I wake up in the hospital room. I fully expected to be released the next day with a follow up visit to the Precision Spine office. That is not what happened at all. I was visited by Marshon who inspected my suture, he made certain I felt okay and that there were no issues, he offered some friendly advice (of which I should have heeded more closely) and told me that I would be visited by a physical therapist before I was released. I was shown how to do simple tasks without injurying myself, afterwards, I was escorted to my ride home.My follow up visits were nothing more than encouraging, friendly and thorough. I never left with the impression that my well being was not important or that my 100% recovery was anything other than the primary goal. 4 months after my surgery I have absolutely no nerve pain, although I still have some numbness in my hand, it gets better every week.Dr. Choi and his staff are incredibly friendly, professional and compassionate. Rest assured, if you select Precision Spine and Dr. Choi to fix, correct, repair or otherwise make your ailment better, you are in great hands. Dr. Choi and his staff are my rockstar heros, without them, I would not be able to return to normal life.

In my opinion, Dr Choi is an arrogant and smug doctor who did not address or resolve my medical issue. I would not recommend him to have any neurosurgery work done.
