She stopped allowing me visitation. She then proceeded to break all contact. She withdrew my child from school and other activities. Packed up and moved from town.. completely disappearing from me.I hired 6 different lawyers, that all fell short. They all told me no or responded with these hurdles that couldn’t be leaped... that was until I spoke to Katie Harris. Katie acknowledged the obstacles and agreed to tackle them head on with me. In this year long custody battle Katie faced COVID, a corrupted Local Law Enforcement who failed to serve papers, corrupted judicial system, jurisdiction issues, and the battles of trial against a long time lawyer with years of practice on the opposing side. Katie met each hurdle and leapt it with grace. She managed to serve papers on someone who had for 2 years eluded attempts. She discovered laws and steps that corrupted courts allowed to go undone. She won me jurisdiction and brought the courts back to Ashley County, where I’d have a fair chance of the courts hearing my side. Katie got me visitation and more. She fought so I wouldn’t be forced to overpay child support. I was told by everyone that I wouldn’t be granted attorney fees, but after Katie present the judge with her very valid points and reference to past cases, I was awarded half of my attorney fees to be paid by the defendant.January 2021 my visitation with my daughter started back. And I’ve had her every other weekend, on her birthday, and on holidays.. Katie has restored my little family and I am forever grateful.Katie Harris was more than a lawyer to me. She became a friend, a part of my family. She was always a phone call or text away. Sometimes well after work hours, she was still available or still on the case. She’s super nice, always polite.
