Used to have a membership here for about 5 years then moved away for active duty military. On leave for a week and tried to get a weeks pass. $30 for a week membership! Holy cow!!!! No thanks. The place is clean and people are nice but to me this shows the place has changed. In the past I paid $10 for a weeks pass. Guess I just need to move from the old days of military support.

Everybody from the staff is very nice and friendly. My husband and I signed up for swim lessons in January and our instructor Karen was the best! Its not easy to learn how to swim as an adult but she was very good at explaining all the techniques and helping us gain confidence. The other swim instructor Hilary also gives us some great tips.After the swim lessons, we started going swimming on our own to practice and keep in shape. They recently changed the lockers which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.

I have only been to this YMCA as a visitor, when my childrens swim team competed against their swim team. Heres what I can say as a visitor:- Small parking lot, and on-street parking seems disallowed. Overflow parking is supposed to be at some nearby park within walking distance.- Pool seems meant for teams, workouts, lessons, and laps. Its not a pool built for play and leisure swim. Its long and narrow, with a diving end and a shallow end. However, I dont know this Ys schedule, so there may be time when there is leisurely swimming/play allowed and encouraged.- Limited bleacher space, and even more severely limited deck space. When two teams are competing there is precious little room for parent spectators, and the competitors are bull-penned in other areas such as the gym. (Read: during swim meets, the gym is closed and one or more other areas are closed.)- The gym and equipment rooms seem to have equipment in good shape.- I have not been in the locker rooms. Since the Y as a whole seems well maintained and clean, I assume the locker rooms are as well.- I did not see a bike rack and I do not know how convenient this Y is to access by RIPTA.

Pool, gym style room with lots of equipment. Mens, womens, and family changing rooms. Family and community oriented. Lots of programs! Great place to go to get in shape. The staff is fast and friendly. They really care about community and families!

Very nice little YMCA, the people there are great and the staff is always friendly. Only complaint is the hours of the pool as they shut down during the daytime then reopen then shut down and reopened, you get the idea. Confusing as all heck.

Great place. Swim team and aquatics are super. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

The camp has really gone downhill! It used to be wonderful! But now there is not adequate supervision for all of the children, especially when they are all swimming in the pool. My children used to love to swim but after other children kept pushing their heads under water they stopped swimming during camp because they were afraid. I made the childcare director aware of my concerns and instead of trying to resolve the issue, he repeatedly insulted my children! My children also came home with unexplained bumps on their head and contusions. Those concerns were also dismissed. Camp is supposed to be a fun, enriching, positive experience for children and I definitely did not find that here!

The people and place was nice. Everything even smelled clean. I mainly go for free weights however and this gym only has a circuit without set up and cardio machines. Just not the ideal gym for a weight lifter.

I was super excited about joining because I have pain in my legs that doesnt go away . I was going to give aqua therapy a chance. But I cant afford that membership fee.. every month. To bad.
