My name is Ken Lochridge, Sr. I am a valid former patient, although the email is not my name.In the first week of November 2019, I was given an appointment date of Jan 22, 2020.I called back and notified the surgery scheduler that the lab said it was infiltrating basel cell ( which can move more quickly) and there had been sqamous cancer near that site that had moved very quickly. I was told they would call me if there was a cancellation.Early December, 2019 I drove to the office and said I was surprised there had been no cancellation and that I lived close by and could come quickly if needed.Still no phone call of cancellation came and I kept the Jan 22. appointment.Dr Debloom has an excellent reputation, and I sure he followed proper protocols.Also, he said I should have come to him three years earlier. I asked the nurse in between removals for a mirror to see what was going on with my face and was told they dont like to do that.The reason for my two star review is that I was not called on a cancellation nor did I have an opportunity to not have much of the skin on my left cheek removed.The attached photo says it alThey provide literature, that says they may need to do a skin graft. They dont say that some of the graft may not take and that you may well be looking at an ordeal that goes on for months. Nor do they say that you may require three outpatient facial reconstruction surgeries totaling seven and a half hours.I will note that I am 74, and had a reaction to the prophylactic antibiotic given after a three and a half hour reconstructive surgery involving three flaps and two grafts. After several large flaps failed, I had another hour and a half surgery that required skin from my thigh which will never match my facial skin tones.While I am likely one of the more severe cases the practice has seen, my face looked pretty normal when I went there, and not so now.It is difficult for me to understand that someone would remove such a major portion of your face without at least letting you know what is transpiring.I had another removal from my face later, went elsewhere and am very happy with the results.I sincerely wish I had never seen Dr. DeBloom and will not return.

Dr DeBloom in my opinion is the best around! He removed melanoma from my arm on 8/30/19 with perfect precision. He is a straight shooter, extremely knowledgeable and has the most wonderful bedside manner of any doctor I’ve known. I highly recommend Dr DeBloom!

Went there 4/26/2018 to have a Basil Cell Carsonom thing removed from my nose. After that, I went back a week later to have the stitches removed. After about a few days, I noticed the deep incision in my nose opening was really opening up wide and went back their office. Dr. Debloom assured me that further healing would result in a scar only about 1/16 thick. Now, after two months, the scar is close to 1/4 thick . Not what Dr. Debloom promised. Im disappointed with my experince with the SCSCC.
