Long story short, I was 40weeks pregnant to the day. Went to the Greenville Er feeling off, shakey and intense cramping. She sent me home, claiming I couldnt possibly be 40weeks because their computers said I was only 37weeks. Her whole attitude was never about my well being, she stayed upset like I was wasting her time because my date was off and I guess my cramping wasnt believable enough. She checked me out and said I was definitely 2-3weeks from giving birth, that there was no way I was close and inducing was out of the question because it would take too long (her exact words). I was told to take tylenol for the cramping and was sent home. I had my baby less than 3hours later, in my home! Dr. K shouldnt have a practice and needs to learn that Moms to be know what their body is telling them!! Dont go to her!!

20 years ago. The lab test ratio for my baby to have Downs Syndrome. My husband and I were encouraged to get an amnio for the only purpose would be for us to not have her. Spending more time for this visit than I had seen her on other visits...giving us arguments about how our lives will be ruined. How I will have to quit my job. (I was a SpEd. Teacher!) We didnt get the amnio...we had a healthy baby girl. Who almost saw this doctor as a pregnant woman. I shared for her to go to another doctor.I had researched about how to have the healthiest newborn Downs baby and I found a mega vitamin regiment that would be harmful to a baby without downs. That was the only when she shared if we had the amnio-we would no longer be pregnant!

I was supposed to have Dr. Hollis deliver my child but she happened to be on vacation. So Dr. K did my emergency C-Section and she was wonderful she was all about me and the baby she also chewed out Greenville hospital because they almost gave me the wrong blood type and killed me.

I absolutely love Dr. K! She is amazing, she listened to me about previous complications with my first born. She was a rock star while delivering my son. She doesnt sugar coat anything and tells it like it is and I love this about her!

If you’re reading this looking to see the quality of care you will receive from the dr and nurses I cannot give a recommendation as I did not even get that far. If you ever have the pleasure of dealing with Amanda in their medical insurance department, please read this. I was looking to switch my prenatal care to Dr.K because of their acceptance of my commercial secondary insurance. However, my secondary insurance has a plan somewhat similar to a Medical GAP plan that is fairly new and would lower my global maternity costs significantly. I used this insurance with my first child at a different office so I know that it works. This was verified by both multiple reps from said insurance company as well as my employer through which it is offered. Amanda, however, who by the way has been in the insurance business for 22 years, says that both my insurance company and the HR department of my employer are lying, and such benefit does not exist because she has never heard of it. My secondary insurance company warned me that some providers and their office staff are not aware of these benefits, and instructed me to give the office staff the contact info to verify benefits and they would be glad to explain them. When I attempted to do this with Amanda, her response was again, she doesn’t know what I’m talking about, that the office will not be put in a situation where they can’t make money when they otherwise would be able to, and quote “No I will not call to verify benefits, you are not a patient, that is not my job, and I do not have time.”That is, in fact, your job though. You lost DR.K a patient. I will also make sure to tell anyone looking for OBGYN or prenatal care to avoid this office. Office staff hospitality is just as important as actual medical care.

I was over at carevide for a year, and they ran test over and over again. They said I need surgery and so on. But it took forever. I came over to Dr. K and asked if she could please take my case even though she wasnt accepting the insurance I went through. She not only took it, but they got all the paper work done in a matter of weeks. I had been struggling with carevide for MONTHS. now I dont have insurance anymore. But I dont care that I have to pay. Dr. K IS THE BEST.

Dr Kowalczyk has helped me get my health back on track. I have had very good help, advice and assistance with all of my health needs. The office is very helpful and friendly. When I call the office, my calls are always returned on the same day and I get the answers and help I need. I have been to many prior offices which I would explain my symptoms and was never recognized, but I came here, from a recommendation, and have been extremely pleased, with the correct in depth tests and finally a Doctor that knows what she is doing, and is caring, warm and friendly.

Twice I have had surgery with Dr K. Both times - no pain, no infection, and quick healing time. She is always thorough at each visit reviewing each prior visit and labs. I LOVE her. I wouldnt change her for anyone.

Very caring and understanding. She did my surgery on my bladder and havent had anymore problems. I wouldnt go to any other Dr.

I trust to Dr. Teresa Kowalczyk. She is amazing doctor by God 🙏. Intelligent and professional.

I would completely referred Dr. K. I started HRT after a hysterectomy. After telling the nurse practitioner that I was tired she immediately upped my HRT. I started feeling horrible and they told me just to stick with it and there was no reason to do blood test yet. When it finally did come around for me to have the blood test I had four times the amount i should have In me across-the-board of all the hormones. I decided to go to another doctor and even though it’s just a few steps away I could not get my records transferred so that I can get someone to start me on the right path. When I called Dr. Z’a office the third time (3 weeks later) to get my records sent down there the lady was very nasty with me and had a horrible attitude. All I wanted was to get on the correct dosage and the new doctor could not do that until she could see what I’d already been through and dosages. I suggest everyone go a few doors down.

Love the receptionists and staff. My fav nurse is Liz, shes always friendly and very helpful. Dr. K is amazing, she is the only Dr that caught my problem in time and fixed it properly. Dr. K is the only Dr that diagnosed my incompetent cervix and came up with a solution(a cervical cerclage). Ive used her with both of my children and never had any problems or complaints.

I am very pleased with the amount of time Dr. K takes to explain all treatment plans, and your personal medical needs.

Worse communication ever.. the reps need to learn how to answer callers not let them ring and ring..if gonna.say ya open at1:00 then u open at one not 1:30 let the damn phone ring .. so awful customer service.. especially when u get advice dont hate just because I ask about if ya accept Medicaid or women Medicaid ya was so hateful.. worse worse experience ever..

Update at the bottom. It turns out the inappropriate birth control I was given has indeed caused additional health issues. Hopefully temporary.----Dont go here if you are self-pay. You will be treated like less-than and rushed through the appointment, regardless of having paid good money.I had to call back three times during hours just to be able to make an appointment.I paid money for a birth control consult, yet I was rushed through the process.This office will not give you even a basic idea of the cost of labs, so as the dr. is telling me she can only give me 3 months of birth control without a full exam and labs, I told her how I dont have an open ended purse. Just because someone is self pay doesnt mean they can go to an appointment having ZERO idea of how much labs are going to cost.(lets GET REAL, your office works with the same lab, probably for years. so just for convenience to YOU, regardless of what a disservice it is to your patients, you decide to not disclose even price ranges!!??)But based on me stating that I have a LIMITED income (like everyone), she then told me THIS IS NOT A FAMILY PLANNING CLINIC --which I figured out later is CODE for where poor women go, or maybe just non-married non-child-bearing women, not sure but I apparently was not their target client and was made to know that.Their website SAYS birth control consultation, so that sounds like family planning services to me.......I could have paid for follow-up appointments and procedures, just wanted to know some idea of the cost upfront, but I will not be going back to this office, despite the severe shortage of womens health care providers.The dr. made it out like it was a big deal for me to come get a whole lab workup in 3 months. Its not rocket science, its birth control. And if she was so concerned about ethics and my health (as she claimed, in describing why I would need an exam with untold fees before I could get more birth control).... if she was so concerned about my HEALTH, then why did she send me away with birth control pills that are bad for people who ever even just sometimes smoke, when there are pills without the increased risk?This is the kind of information I paid good money to hopefully FIND OUT, but I had to piece together the bits of information after being rushed through the process (oh ohhhh so there are pills that dont have those risks), felt a little judged and not really helped that much.I appreciate the free bc samples, but Id have appreciated a prescription for something that doesnt endanger my wellbeing even MORE.KNOWING THIS CURRENT CLIMATE I feel you are obligated to be sensitive to the needs of women and the very negative climate surrounding health care and womens rights.So now 1 of 2 possible clinics anywhere near me is ruled out, but I guess that was your mission all along. To discriminate against self-pay patients, or whichever aspect of me made me unattractive as a patient.It was not a respectful feeling, nor pleasant experience.-----update: I have developed a heart arrhythmia using the inappropriate pills I was given here. This contributed to if not CAUSED my first ever anxiety attack. Do birth control pills sometimes cause heart arrhythmias in healthy women? Yes, its not unheard of. The thing I have a huge problem with is that this doctor COULD have easily avoided this result by being ethically responsible, by being decent and actually helping me with appropriate birth control for my circumstances.Additionally if I had not been treated so dismissively, I would feel like I could call this doctor and ask her advice or get reassurance about these side effects. But I dont feel safe or trust her advice at all at this point.What should have been a simple birth control consult has resulted in weeks of anxiety, money spent on books and various therapies for that. Wasted money, lost income from missed work, additional health issues... and still a need for some gd birth control!Thoroughly let down.

Staff and doc. K were not acceptable. I felt they were there to bill as much as they could. They do not inform patients of costs of procedures. Horrible experience all the way around.
