I joined Kroc Center this summer for the pool and gym, and my experience has been terrible. Multiple times I have made reservations for the lap pool ahead of time and then arrived only to learn no lanes were actually available. The locker room is always stinky and never feels quite clean. One thing I wish I had known before joining is that you are required to keep all children under 6 years old (even if they can swim) within an arms reach at ALL times—even in 4 inches of water with life jackets on. It is also helpful to know that even if you join on the last day of the month you must pay for the entire month. There is no option to pro-rate.

Beautiful facility. Very kind staff. The pool cannot be beat for kids. The lifeguards are kind, thoughtful and fun. Grateful they are enforcing masks 😷 to keep our community safe. The only indoor place I feel comfortable going to right now. Easy to find quiet times if you’re willing to go off hours.

Staff was extremely rude... from front desk to the pool. Life guards standing around with their masks on their chins... yet some random guy with no name tag walked up to me sitting 6 feet or more away from anyone with plenty of room To walk by, got in my face after I was clearly already having a hard time breathing and told me to put my mask on correctly.. He was the one violating guidelines...when I asked him for leave me alone he refused and threatened to kick me out. For a place that swears by including all... there is little tolerance.to anyone who cant tolerate masks. Rude and condescending... this was an old man on a power trip. He also chose not to ask anyone else who had no mask at all to put one on. Disappointed...

The worst gym I’ve been to in my entire life. No organization, employees couldn’t be more unhelpful. It’s like they don’t want people to come back. The basketball gym is never open. I considered it theft that they stole my money for multiple months. I would do anything to go back in time and never join this gym to save me from this miserable gym experience.

Very limited , alot has changed, alot has went down hill.. it is not worth it to have a membership if you cant use the pool , you cant use the basketball gym, you cant workout... the staff could care less.. in the momth that i have been a member again( i just renewed) they have cut the usage times down by half.. when can i use this stuff if i have a job, a life , a family.. not worth it to pay for a whole month if i can only use this place 6hrs a month.. alot of focus is put on the campers and classes and it takes away from the other members experience... i just cancelled my membership.. major let down .. dont waste your money

We are so grateful for this place! Cheerful staff, wonderful child-watch ladies, close to swamp rabbit trail, and a great place for our entire family. Thank you Kroc! I am telling other Moms about this place and all of the great amenities for both parents and kiddos. Join!

I really think that they should work on there communication with customers/ members . I have bad experience with there rules with the COVID and aquatic use , you have to reserv a line if you want to swim , but then they close 3 out of 6 lanes for classes in the morning when it’s the busiest time and there is only 3 lanes left for everyone else to share. So the classes can have multiple people per line , but regular members can not ?! And also you can not have 2-3 people per line , but than you have 4 people waiting in the hot tub ( when it’s open/work! ) at the same time ??? When I try to talk to a person in the management about my ( and I am sure a lot more people issue ) he told me that the classes are classes and they can swim multiple people and they still comply with the COVID regulations ( which they are NOT )so the rest of the lanes can have one person at a time ! PLEASE REMOVE THAT RESERVATION AND ONE PERSON AT A TIME !! It’s ridiculous!

I love the kroc center. Although covid kind of put a damper on things for a while (gym access and pool access) things are starting to get back to being fully open. I would give 5 stars. The only reason I give 4 is because pool activity is mainly for the kids. Lanes are hard to get with all the practices and lessons so when you do get one you are sharing a lane with a stranger. Also there is only aqua aerobics class offered at like 10am. Nothing else. Because I work im never able to make it. A few other options would be greatly appreciated. Shoot give me a call and I will run the classes for you!

Thank you for doing your part to enforce common sense infection control guidelines to keep your members and community safe during a pandemic. As a nurse, I thank you for standing up for the health of all instead of bending to the whims of a few. Please keep it up and I will recommend your gym to others.

I have been a member since 2/2020. Of course COVID hit right after that. I have started going regularly again. Right now I am attending the Silver Sneakers classes. They are not too hard but works you out just hard enough to keep you in shape. The instructor Jennifer is fantastic. She is very upbeat and super friendly. She makes us all feel comfortable and welcome. This is a great class to start if you havent worked out in a while. The class is not just for seniors either.Anyone is welcome. It is a mix of aerobic/cardio and strength. I love the class. I have not tried many other classes yet but i definitely want to try out some of the aqua classes.

The recently changed mask policy doesn’t follow CDC’s health condition exemption. It discriminates against those who cannot wear any type of face covering due to medical condition. One day this type of discrimination will not go unnoticed! Think of all the people you are hurting and hindering by inforcing this ridiculous policy.

Honestly disappointed with how expensive their pool is. Last time I went there was this really bad burning hair/sulfur smell near the west end of their lap pool. The lifeguard responded that maintenance had been contacted about it and they hadnt done anything. The value isnt there for those who want to swim a couple times a week. I guess they would rather be empty and charge more than be used. What a crock

Review №23

This place discriminates against those with medical disabilities and goes against the CDC guidelines by not allowing any exemptions for masks. Not a place I would recommend. They respond to comments on here that they respond to mask exemptions privately, but in private they wouldnt even look at the data by the CDC, ADA, or any information regarding legalities of the matter. They will just cancel memberships without question.

If you have a disability that prohibits you from wearing a mask this place won’t accommodate your exemption. The motto “you belong here” does not applies to disable patrons. ✌🏼

Now Ill admit my Senior Sneakers membership pays for me to be a member. Ill also agree that The Kroc is the closest gym to my residence. Still, I am more than satisfied with there programs. The fitness center, while not the largest Ive ever seen, still has all the equipment I need to stay in shape. Its rarely crowded and the staff seems quite competent. My only concern is the sewer order which is often present in thg he locker room.

Friendly staff, understanding, and respectful. I gave 4 stars because of life guards response to my question. I asking if they could turn on the water in the pool area. There reply was it gets way to hot in here. People dont pay money for your comfort. The pool was advertised with the water on.

Did a pool party birthday, giving 4 stars because of the facility not the customer service. Pros: pool is great for all ages, everyone loved the game room and pizza was delicious (made on site.) Cons: several unanswered emails and voicemails, lost catering paperwork, tons of calls to get someone to even answer the phone, multiple trips to front desk to get party host to bring more paper products. Overall, awesome place for everyone to have fun but be prepared for terrible communication.

Very clean and updated place. The staff was friendly and helpful. I took my three kids to Toddler Tuesday for story time and swimming... the kids indoor “water park” was absolutely awesome! My kids had a blast! I love how they had tons of life jackets and floaties for your convenience and use. The only reason I gave four stars was because it was WAY to crowded. They only take up to 30 or so kids but that was just too much in my opinion. Once you add every kids Mom & Dad and even Grandparents, it’s just too many people in such a small area. Maybe requiring registration up to 20 kids and two adults would make it more chill. It also said heated pool online and yet it was really cold and my kids were getting blue lips only an hour in. Otherwise, I think it was an awesome experience but I’m not so sure I’ll be back until it’s less crowded.

I signed up to play in the Kroc Adult League coed soccer season and it is extremely disorganized. Our team was told that our game would start at 6:30, but after showing up we were informed that we didnt play until 7:30. My teammate and I went inside to speak with Zack Stoudt, the director/ coordinator and found him in the gym with the volleyball league. A few volleyball players were in the same situation as we were, being told their game was at one time when it actually was an hour later. After speaking with Zack the only thing he could say was Im sorry and didnt offer much assistance or compassion. In addition, the league was supposed to start on 2/6, but had to be postponed until 2/13. Not a problem, except for one of my teammates tried to contact Zack about the start date and time and received no response, so he drove 40 minutes for a game that never happened. To conclude, there needs to be better communication between the teams and those in charge of running the program. The disorganization and lack of effort to coordinate a successful league is very frustrating and disappointing.**This review is a reflection only of the Kroc Adult League/ Zack Stoudt, and is not directed towards the Salvation Army, the Kroc center, or any other program that is offered through this facility.

Greenville is an extremely small facility. Limited classes and few on the schedule. The classes are held in the gym which is nicely sized but is located next to the mens restroom and has a huge clear window.A word for the wise you must have funds available on the 20th of every month for auto-draft. Otherwise you will not be able to access the facility until you have the funds and you will be required to pay for the entire month. Even though you were not allowed access to the facility. They are very unwilling to work with members which is surprising considering it is run by the Salvation Army. I had to cancel my membership because they were unwilling to work with us.One word to sum it all up... DISAPPOINTING.
