I just graduated from ECU, my parents came out to Whispering Oaks and brought their RV to celebrate this past weekend. This park is such a beautiful and quiet spot. The owners are the best hosts and provide amazing accommodations. 10/10 recommend staying here if you are making your way through Eastern North Carolina!!!

We have been here for almost 1.5 years. Kelly and Butch are great people. Its very quiet, there is plenty of space and our view is beautiful! Nice area to walk and Jessie ( Kelly and Butch pup) will walk with you!. She is very sweet and loves to visit with our pup too! We recommend to everyone we know that is traveling to Greenville short term or long term!

Sites are clearly marked, have a good amount of space and privacy. Property is clean and nicely maintained. It’s a smaller, quiet park. Great for RnR. Owners are good people.

My wife and I started full time RVing and lucked out by getting a spot as Whispering Oaks. It’s clean, spacious, accommodating and run by two great and honest folks. We had an issue that caused us to be without a location for hook up in between moves and Jon personally made room for us directly off his workshop for two additional nights; free of charge. Good people, great campsite; 10/10.

Love our stay here! Wonderful people and a beautiful park. Unlike a lot of RV parks where you just get a parking space. This park reminds me of some of the better state and federal parks where you feel you are out in the country with woods and lake and all. Beautiful mature trees; and last night had a very full moon with Jupiter right next to it for icing on the cake!In addition, we had a family emergency and Kelly was very understanding and accommodating, going the extra mile for us. We have traveled tens of thousands of miles in our DP motorhome and have a lot of parks to compare this to, and we Loved it!

Beautiful sites, but not a resortSimply campsites with water, electric, and sewage. Expensive for no rv resort-like amenities.

The resort is beautiful, quiet and well maintained. We absolutely loved our stay here! They are pet friendly which we loved since we travel with our pup, he had a few chances to play with the owners dog Jessie who would come and say hi throughout the day. She’s super sweet and so well mannered. The views are pretty especially around the pond they have on site. We will definitely be keeping Whispering Oaks in mind on our next visit to NC!

First time RV owner and green as a gourd. they took time out of their busy schedule and showed me a couple of things. Their willingness to help a total stranger was refreshing to experience. The Park was was VERY well maintained as well. They had several different views. woody; lake; green grass all perfect for relaxing. public golf course is a short drive away. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Wish I could more than 5 stars.

Open spaces between beautiful oaks, tidy and clean as a whistle. Restful overnight stay. Not for someone looking for activity. I would stay again. Kind of expensive.

This campground is well kept, beautiful and quiet. Exactly what i needed the weekend I stayed. John and Kelly are amazing people who made me feel like an old friend or family member from the first interaction. It had been a long day when I arrived at Whispering Oaks and John helped me get set up. He also went to his house and got me some coffee for in the morning so I would not have to go back out after getting set up. Just down to earth, warm and friendly folks. It has taken me awhile to write this review because i was hoping to keep this place a secret to myself but finally came to my senses and realized that was not fair. Everyone needs to meet people like John and Kelly so that we all can spread kindness.

I highly recommend this campground if you want a nice relaxing place to stay. My wife and I stayed here for a week while visiting our son who lives in Greenville. The park is very clean and well taken care of, the owners are great people , Jessie , their dog, I would call the official greeter does a great job of meeting everyone. The park is very pet friendly , which is nice when you travel with two labs. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Greenville, NC. John and Kelly , thanks again for having us and making us feel welcome at Whispering Oaks RV Resort.

My husband and I were very pleased with Whispering Oaks facility. It’s convenient — 15 minutes to Greenville, NC and about 20 minutes to Washington, NC. Yet the setting is very quiet ad relaxing. I hope to return.

Beautiful small quiet well kept RV park. Very large lots with tons of space. Owners are super nice and accommodating. Mostly long termers here with a few short term spots. Price is very reasonable. Close to town on a quiet country road. Would definitely stay again! Thanks John and Kelly!

We travel for work and stayed at Whispering Oaks RV for thirteen weeks. There were several work travelers in this park but you could never tell. The grounds are very well kept. We saw Blue Heron at the pond everyday we were there. The only negative I have is the road material on the RV pad is horrible about tracking into the RV. The spaces are huge and they are very easy to manuver in and out of. Jessie, the parks doggy mascot, is so friendly. I loved having a dog to pet since we dont travel with ours. Kelly and John, the owners, are the nicest people. We felt as if we were at a family members yard instead of an RV park. Bottom line, stay here!

Dont get misled by the word resort. That it is not. But, it is a fantastically clean and very quiet small rv park. Booked last minute for an event and Kelly was very accommodating. Not far from town and the price was reasonable. If you are looking to get away for some down time, this is the place in Greenville. Full hook up and nice large lots for big rigs. No Wi-Fi or cable that we were aware of, but thats not why you would come here. Thank you Kelly for getting us in on such short notice. You have a beautiful park.
