So I’m super picky about who cuts my hair and I was on the fence about a totally new cosmetologist cutting and coloring it. Let me say Angela did my color and cut and I’m thrilled with it. She is very outgoing and friendly and took the time to make sure I knew what I wanted which I’m glad she talked me out of because her recommendation looks better no doubt. I asked what products I should buy and she was very knowledgeable about the hair care products the salon sells! Very clean professional salon that I will use anytime I’m in Greenville for work! Nick at the front desk made setting up my appointment a breeze as well!

Clay is THE BEST!! I had Googled curly hair specialist back in May or June, desperate to find someone since my previous beautician moved. I have extremely curly hair: thick, soft, and cork-screw curls. He had such great reviews, I decided to make an appointment and see how it went. I will ALWAYS go to Clay. He is so talented, intelligent, and capable. He kindly walked me through the process of what he would do with my hair during that appointment. He did exactly as he said, and the result was better than I could have ever imagined. When I returned home, my sister and mother both made appointments almost immediately because of how amazing my hair looked. I went to this salon for the first time last week because I needed somewhere that knew how to cut curly hair and Clay did an amazing job. He gave me a curl cut and explained how and why it works, and he also told me how to style my hair and recommended good products for me. Brittany did a fantastic job with my super thick wavy/curly hair. My hair is mixed textures and very heavy, but if cut short it is usually an unmanageable mess. They have a special technique for thinning out curly hair without killing the style. I still have long hair, but no longer have tension headaches from the weight! My hair has more movement and lift and it feels AMAZING. Ive never trusted a stylist so much the first time I sat in their chair. She knew her stuff and did everything right. Highly recommend to anyone frustrated with their wavy/curly/thick hair!

Brittany gave me my first actual curly cut last week at Hair Bella Salon. She was very down to earth and friendly, easy to talk to and I really felt like she heard what I wanted and my hair struggles. This is easily the best cut Ive ever had, my curls are so happy and suddenly low maintenance! Who would have thought that was even possible. :) The fact that they dont charge you an extra $50+ on top of the regular cut charge just for having curly hair like some places do is great, and she even gave me some samples to take home and try of their product line which I have NEVER had a salon do, and I felt no pressure at all to use their products (although I will be buying some because they are fantastic!). I highly recommend Brittany and I am sure everyone else at Hair Bella is fantastic as well!

After moving back to Greenville I made an appointment at Hair Bella based on a recommendation from a friend. What a wonderful experience! I left feeling cared for and confident in the way I look. Being that this was my first appointment my stylist, Clay, took extra time to make sure they understood what I was looking for and informed me as they went about what they were doing and how it would affect my appearance. I highly recommend this salon to anyone, whether youre a regular somewhere else but looking for a change, a visitor to this great city of the south, or new to town. You wont leave disappointed.

I was looking for a shop that does perms when I found this place and and booked an appointment with Brittany because she claimed to specialize in curly hair. However, the entire time she was doing my hair she was asking someone else how to do it and had a confused look on her face. The perm took over 4 hours and was very uncomfortable. The site I booked the appointment on said the price was $125. She charged me $160. It hasn’t been a week since I was there and my hair is straight in some places in curly in other places. Very disappointing

My hair used to be so over processed and damaged, even though I have always gone to very professional salons. But since I have been going to Larry my hair is now healthy and Ive finally been able to grow it long. The colour is amazing and I couldnt be happier. Everyone there is exceptional.. Larry has been cutting my hair for several years now and I am always pleased with his work. I have naturally curly hair and am so glad to have found someone with whom I can trust my locks. Deidra, while I have only had her cut my hair for a last minute appointment, also did a great job and I would have no problem seeing her again as well. My son also started going here about a year ago (moving up from a kiddie salon) and we always get Carolyn to do his hair. She also does a good job. It seems that the staff here is all around very good at what they do. I highly recommend Hair Bella Salon.

Im new to Greenville and had my first appointment with Deidra today. I highly recommend her. At the beginning of our appointment she took the time to listen to me tell her about what was happening with my hair and what I wanted it to look like. She also took the time to recommend specific products for my hair. The cut looked amazing and she helped to revive my tired curls that hadnt been cut in years!

I have very straight hair and had been considering texturizing it for a while (which really just means a perm), but I was worried about ending up with bad 80s hair. I started searching for a stylist in town who knew what they were doing and could give me the look I wanted. Hair Bella was recommended to me, and after looking at their reviews and facebook page, I called and booked a consultation. I went in, met with the stylist, and brought plenty of photos. I was assured, repeatedly, that the look I wanted would be easy to achieve, that my hair was in good condition for the perm, etc. The stylist was very confident and put me at ease, so I booked an appointment for the following week.To make a long story short, the stylist ruined my hair. She gave me the worst, most unprofessional perm I could imagine. My hair is tightly kinked in some places but completely straight in others. The ends of my hair on one half of my head look like they were not even wrapped on the rods. She cut odd, short layers next to my face that are now just puffy bits of frizz that I can only pin up or back. She wrapped the pieces at the base of my hairline so tightly that whole locks broke off. After she rinsed the solution, there were curlers in the sink that had not been unwrapped - the hair just snapped off. I had a bald patch until the hair started growing back a few weeks later. After she towel dried my hair and I started to comment on how worried I was about it, she quickly hurried me out the door because another client was waiting. But not before charging me more than $100. She told me to call if I had problems, and whatever I did not to wash it for a few days. My appointment was on a Monday, when the salon is usually closed, so no one else was there during my appointment time. The only person to see it at the time was the next client, who Im sure wasnt paying attention to me.Terrified that more hair would break off or fall out, I waited the obligatory three days before I did anything to my hair. It was an unruly, crispy-fried mess. My coworkers were shocked, and that is not an exaggeration. People kept asking me what had happened to my hair and did you have to pay for that?At the end of the week I was desperate. I had no desire to go back to the stylist, but I called the salon anyway. I explained to the receptionist and asked if anyone else there could help me. I was determined not to see the same stylist who had butchered my hair. I was told that I would have to see her, but they could get another stylist to consult. I set the appointment but later called and cancelled. I simply didnt want her touching my hair again.All of this was six months ago. I had hoped that things might improve with time or that Id learn to style it in a manageable way, but it still just looks bad. I could get it straightened, I know, but Im a little gun shy of the chemicals now. The only other option is to cut it all off and let my hair grow out naturally, but I would rather not.I know theres not much point to this review, but I hope it might help someone. If nothing else, I hope that stylist will avoid doing any other perms.

And now as I am working on growing out my pixie cut of eight years, its been especially important. (We all know the mullet phase is an all too frequent offense of the growing out stages...I need an expert who can steer me from that!) With all that in mind, Clay Daniels is my knight in shining armor!Within minutes, Clay identified my hair type, my typical hair struggles, and custom created a new color for my hair! I felt welcomed, warmed, and totally free to ask the RIDICULOUS amount of questions I had to ask! Not only is Clay an artist and a master craftsmen, his passion is evident. I can honestly say that I eagerly await my next appointment with Clay in this homey salon!

I visited this shop on 2 different occasions I have very curly hair and with the experience of 30 years I was confident that the owner Larry would do a great job since he specializes in curly hair. First visit I had a great experience even referred some friends to visit this shop. 2nd was awful I went in with a picture of a simple cut it had more volume but that’s what I wanted Father’s Day was 2 days away and I wanted a new cut for pictures. I was told it would require more layers I was ok that too now keep in mind my hair was all one length, curly and to my shoulders he would cut my hair dry to see how the curl laid and with one snip he cut a huge chunk off in front of my ear I gasped but with his experience I thought I was in good hands since my first experience was amazing. He continued to cut and cut and cut now it’s time to wash it and fix it after he diffused it and I raised my head to look at it my hair was gone I looked at my daughter who is 23 and she said you don’t look like my mom my heart fell to the floor I now have an old lady mullet I was devistated he cut some more to try to fix it and then finally said come back in 3 weeks WHAT DO YOU MEAN 3 weeks. I went back the next day an at the front desk was his wife Robin who was a real B by the way greeted me with sorry your stuck and because I ask for my money back and to have it fixed I could no be a client there that was their policy. I’m standing there with a old lady mullet I showed her the original picture and said look at this does it even resemble what I ask for she just repeated her same spill about getting my money back it was not her problem to go somewhere else and I could longer be a client there. After waiting I finally get back in Larry’s chair and he said to me “ I should have cut it different and took more off the sides” but it was my fault according to his sweet wife at the front desk. 2 months later I’m still waiting on my hair to grow out so I can drive 4 hours to my origainal stylist to see if see can fix it. I don’t recommend anyone going to this salon and especially if you get a bad hair cut it’s your fault and no their problem DEAL WITH IT definitely don’t ask for your money back that seems to send her in rage.
