I have always had such a positive experience in this store. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful as well. Just this week a staff member helped me pick out some flowers to use as confetti for my graduation photos, and she was so sweet. An amazing store!

This place was amazing. Down from NJ and I needed to prepare a some herbs for a few clients that I didnt bring with me and this was the place to fit my fancy. I dont remember the young ladys name started with an L but she was absolutely wonderful she made me feel like I was home. We discuss different herbs as Im becoming an herbalist and she challenged my knowledge. Plus the metaphysical atmosphere was just great. Truly recommend and will be returning.

I am not from Greenville, but I am a practicing witch and I know what’s real and what’s not. The Sojourner store has some of the finest selection of herbs, talismans and statuary I have ever come across in all my years of collecting and using magical items. You can tell there is an integrity behind the items chosen as they are special and unique and stuff that you can’t just find anywhere. Also their message about love and unity with reverence to their southern ancestry is apparent and genuine. I love this store and would say that anyone would be lucky to walk into their store. Lanie helped me there and was so knowledgeable sweet and authentic with her recommendations. Five star shop! Trust me!

I love shopping here! It’s one of my favorite places to go. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I really appreciate their help when shopping. I also appreciate them following Governor Roy Cooper’s mask regulations. They’re keeping the community healthy and safe during this troubling time.

I was introduce to the Sojo by my friend Ronnie Parker in March of this year (2020). This before the pandemic related restrictions and such began but even following those implications and necessary changes, it is still the best in person shopping experience I’ve had thus far as a Chronically Ill, Disabled and Neuroatypical person navigation wise as everything is genuinely accessible and sensory friendly. They are extremely inclusive and welcoming as well. Bonus points for the addition of both the option of Pickup and Shipping via Email and Phone. I’d like to shoutout Lanie and Courtney especially! You all are rockstars.

I’m impressed with how great they have been being pro-active about safety during this Covid pandemic. Offering masks and gloves to protect everyone and trying their best to make everyone safer. All-bases-covered metaphysical supply store with friendly staff. Only issue is that the inside of the store isnt quite big enough for all the patrons during busy hours.

People complaining about being required to wear a mask are completely childish. Wearing a mask protects not only you but the vulnerable around you who are literally SERVING you. This establishment has been a safe haven for the community and I adore all the employees. It always has good products and it’s always clean. Please do not let these negative reviews whining about putting a thin piece of fabric over their faces keep you from experiencing a little gem of a store!

The sojo is a really great place to shop for things you can’t find elsewhere, candles, oils, herbal teas, gemstones. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable as well as friendly. They also require face masks & social distancing which follows the governor’s mandate, if you don’t want to be a responsible adult don’t shop here go elsewhere.

Lanie is very knowledgeable and super friendly. She has taught me a lot, just in general. Lovely environment and vibe! Love that they take necessary protocol and require masks, its simple.

If you are looking to be treated like a 5yr old child, spoken to by staff in an offensive & condescending manner & made to feel entirely unwelcome... youve gone to the right place!Ive been shopping there for years & love the actual merchandise, however, it can easily be obtained elsewhere without the demeaning behaviour of the staff.I respect the business owners requests for masks & even gloves. I have no problem adhering to that policy as its my decision to spend my money there, however, despite our compliance, the lady working that day could not have been ruder in the way she addressed us & others. In the 15 minutes we were there, we were repeatedly dictated to about our masks in the manner one would speak to a child. I had already gathered some items and was looking to purchase more but my breaking point was sufficiently reached, or rather breached, when I found myself being lectured about my mask not properly covering my nose (nevermind that is was, in fact, covered).In order to keep my thoughts from spilling over into words, I simply paid for what I had and left. Quite frankly, I wish I had not made a purchase at all but thats neither here or there at this point. I will not be returning. There are too many other options that dont include being berated by staff members even when you are kindly respecting their policies & safety measures.

The Sojo has always been a wonderful store in which to shop. The employees are helpful without being pushy, and the shop has gone above and beyond in maintaining the safety standards during Covid 19, including mandatory masks, gloves, and social distancing.

Ive been to this store multiple times. Im really impressed with their selection and love the energy of the store but the employees are a mixed bag. Most of the time, Ive gotten very nice and knowledgeable people who have helped me but there is the occasion I walk in and the employee working the front is a little rude. I remember one who had her back turned to the store and was playing a video game which I found very unprofessional. Overall, love the store and their selection, but the employees can be a bit standoffish, though the great employees far outweigh the others.

Clearly didnt want my 3 year old in their store. Said any child over 2 years old was required to wear a mask and then proceeded to tell me they provided masks like I wasnt smart enough to see them outside. Which I already did. Children under the age of 11 are exempt from the mask mandate.

What a breath of fresh air! The Sojourner is a veritable oasis in the desert. EVERYONE who walks thru the doors is warmly welcomed and encouraged to explore this absolutely magical treasure box on Evans Street in the heart of Greenville. It’s easy to spend 30-45 minutes just looking around. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and will help you if you’re looking for crystals, Oracle or tarot cards, amulets, incense, hard-to-find reads, herbs in their extensive apothecary, etc etc. Need a charmed gift? This is the place. Or give a gift certificate! Sojourner is also an excellent source for referrals if you’re looking for a legit reading, whether tarot, palmistry, astrology or psychic mediumship. Wellness of mind body and spirit! I was really grateful that they care so much about the wellbeing of customers during the pandemic that they didn’t hesitate to get the attention of a selfish female customer who was not really committed to wearing her mask. I did write a good review here after my first visit but then I when to the store back few times since and Ive changed my mind.I am pretty sure few (if not all) of the owners/employee were wiccans, and so, shared the values of the religion (like love and respect and so on). But (at least) one employee disrespect towards people made me change my mind.Ive never met the owner, saw a long rant post on Facebook thought... with thise two things.. it was enough for me. I dont want to back to this store again.Good luck to them. I do not wish them harm. But if sharing my opinion can help someone find their path, then Im gonna speak up.

If youre looking for a delightful little shop with some of the sweetest employees, and that will not convince you to simply buy pricey items, but rather help you find what you are looking for, youve found the right place.My first time in I tried to be unnoticeable, just browsing and not really interacting with the employees, and the store owner Michelle really went out her way to talk to me and make me feel welcome.That was well over a year ago, shes not in the shop manning the register as much, which is understandable as the store owner doesnt need to do all the things, all the time! All of her employees are kind and welcoming!Now that weve covered the excellent customer service, lets get into the stuff they sell!! They have everything that you could ever need and more! Everything that they sell is I believe sustainably sourced so that a huge plus! There is a wide variety of crystals/stones/jewelry/herbs/tea/bumper stickers/books you name it!One more wonderful thing is that they support their local community and businesses, which is really icing on the cake because it shows their dedication to support the residents of greenville!If all of that doesnt make you wanna go in there...two things 1)I dont know what else would make you want to go here since, in my opinion, they have the cat in bag, 10/10 on all aspects. 2) Youre probably a hater and need to reassess your shopping criteria.

Just popped in for some necessities and to see if it was a going to be the right place for us and it is! The woman working was kind and I got a instant feeling of ease when we walked inside. Will be the only place we need to go now and are so relieved since we went to another place first and it seemed to be all novelty. Prices are fair, and to be honest with people complaining about prices, its a general rule not to complain or try to get a discount for these type of items🙂

I came in with a good mood and left with serious bad vibes. The clerk ignored my 2 friends and I but showed constant interest in my boyfriend for our entire visit. She rudly ignored any questions we asked and made no eye contact. We will not be coming back.

Decent store, but the people who work there arent very friendly or knowledgeable about the items for sale. I go in when I need something thats hard to find anywhere else, but I almost feel like the workers really dont want to be there. With a store like this, you should be hit with a good vibe upon entering, the people working there should be friendly and know about what theyre selling...I just dont get that here.

I am sooo angry!! I spent over $200 in this store and all the bracelets are FAKE!!!! how does hematite, tourmaline or Lapis Lazuli turn your skin blue or black?? Hematite and tourmaline does not fade!! This store sells fakes!!! This means that many of the loose crystals and stones I bought are probably fakes too! Do NOT got to this store unless you want to throw money away. I have been to MANY metaphysical stores all over the county and have never been robbed like this!! I have received angry calls form EVERYONE I gave these gifts to!!!!!

Adorable eco-friendly store that also offers henna body art! The owner & staff are super friendly. We visited on a night they were hosting a drum circle. We had a great evening participating with the music and shopping.

The owner Michelle is a very unfriendly, thinking she is higher on the pedastool than everyone else. I tried to introduce myself and she did not shake my hand nor did she say oh Hi my name is Michelle she said I’m busy right now look around the store I’m busy with reading and don’t have time. So this is a metaphysical shop that suppose to be positive and very upbeat and welcoming. She also is very much one of those folks that think she’s better then everyone else. Theres nothing upscale nor posh about her. I won’t be shopping there anymore I’ll take my business to a wonderful place called Crystal Connections!!!

Great place to go to if you need anything for people who are Wiccan, Pagan, or whatever you are even if you dont believe in any of those religions. You can get Essential oils that you cant get in regular stores, stones, crystals, basically anything you could want or need to help you on your path. They also offer classes, along with many other things. I just wished that there was a place like this closer to where I live lol.

My wife and I went in yesterday and had a similar experience with the salesperson as Christy did in another review. The salesperson exuded negative energy. I will definitely clense the crystals we bought of their negative energy and we Will not return.

I was a first time visitor and shopper sunday afternoon with my mother in law to be and it was horrible. We both walked in to see the inside of this beautiful store and got hit with nothing but negativity, and this store to me has so much potential. But what really made our experience horrible was the woman working there, and if the pictures serve right on there website I do believe that it was the assistant manager working sunday and she was rude not only to us but to another patron in the store as well. After we had looked around and decided on what to buy there was a patron before us at the check out and he had to politely say excuse me twice before she turned her attention from the computer to ring him up and as we both noticed in how she spoke in saying oh your ready? Came across rudely towards him, and yet when she went to ring my mother in law to be up she was rude as well, she tried to over charge on two Jasper crystals that were different in color when the price tag in the bin said $3.00 and yet she said one was $10.00 and the other was $3.00, now if that is true then things should have been labeled correctly, she also didnt bag our crystals either. This woman exuded tension and negativity and yet to be working in a store surrounded by beautiful things that should make you calm and smile and want to work there and to give that calm feeling back to someone but yet to exuded what she did wasnt right, it wasnt right for the store it wasnt right for other people to walk in and feel that and in my opinion it wasnt right for the business either. This post wasnt written to waiver people from the store I think people should still go and see a feel this store out for themselves. But I truely do think that the owner should know about this as well, that a trusted person to help run this establishment Sat with her back turned to the customers till they needed there items rung up, that fact alone should be addressed cause if she truely wasnt paying attention then someone couldve easily walked in acting like a customer and walked out with something. And after our visit there we will not be returning.
