If I could give a facility less than one star, I would. I have never been treated more disrespectful by a medical staff in my life. I came into the ER with difficulty breathing due to an infected abscess on my tonsil. The nurse asked me “why I was even there.” Once I saw the doctor, he was cold and robotic in his approach. He had zero bedside manner and did not put any of my fear or pain at ease. Once my test results were in, my mom and I asked him to please review them with me and he refused. He said he does not “read test results line by line” because “we wouldn’t understand them anyways.”Thankfully, I was transferred to Forbes and got the amazing care necessary to heal me.

Needed an urgent visit, was very impressed with online e check in option showing busy times! ( I highly recommend doing before hand if able), ended up walking straight in maybe waited 5mins! very clean and professional staff! I was in and out in an hour and a half including all blood testing, CT scan etc! I am in health care so I understand people are learning the new electronic medical system, so more practice with comfort doing point of service, but the staff maintained very personable and professional! One thing I did not like was the admission person coming in during the visit to collect copay point of service - they should just explain to you what your coverage is, sign a paper for agreement and bill later for an ER visit because that’s the last thing I wanted to worry about was money for my health.

Mother in-law need urgent care today and was more then impressed with the care she got. They were helpful, fast, respectful and very clean. Definitely coming here from now on and staying away for Excela Health Latrobe as much as we can. Thank you AHN!

I was at this so called hospital yesterday for what was described to me by the doctor as a cyst, which was on my upper thigh where ones leg elastic on the underwear constantly rubs it....at this point I had this for five days, very painful. Once I was in the exam room the Dr came in asked the questions to determine the problem, looked at the affected area, then told the RN what supplies were needed.This is where it gets gruesome. Only one small numbing injection and within two minutes the Dr began the procedure..... I could feel every single thing he was doing, after it was all over and the nurse was placing a bandage on my lleg she said Im surprised he didnt give a second injection and wait a bit before he started. This was coming from the nurse.This is the third and last time I will ever set foot in this hospital. The other two times they sent me home iln Aprilwith COVID pneumonia and i ended up at Westmoreland excela hospital for four days. Thats negligence in my mind.They dont deserve the name hospital.

Amazing doctors and nurses!!! Was transfered out of this ER into a different ahn hospital because there were no beds anywhere. I get to this hospital and just couldnt ask for better care!!!Ive been admitted again this is my third night. Thanks to my nurses Maggie, Liz, Janelle, and Jennifer!!! Such wonderful ladys. Dr A is amazing. And Sam the Pa! So is everyone else. Thank you again. I really do appreciate you all!!!I was there a total of 5 days 4 nights and everyone made sure I was completely comfortable and Sam made sure I FELT well enough to go home. Normally your just another number pushed out the door. I didnt feel that at all.Thanks also to the ER DOCTORS NURSES AND STAFFI JUST CANT STOP BRAGGING ABOUT AHN!!!!I have been admitted again. Dr A, and the ER again wonderful. Im so glad I got Liz and Maggie again as my nurses. I had Ashley and Jenn also and they were fantastic! I had to have a mid line put in and that lady really put my mind at ease and it definitely was not an uncomfortable experience at all so if you ever have to go through it just relax youll be fine and its over in just a couple minutes.Thank you again ahn every single one of you I so appreciate you God bless you guys!

Was seen in the Emergency Department and treated very poorly by staff, the nurse and doctor in particular. I was put through tests and never spoken to about my results. Had to go home and view myself on my MyChart and call the doctor to understand my results after being discharged with no explanation. Bad enough experience to cause myself to make a report to AHN. Do not recommend this hospital unless it is something extremely minor.

Worst ER experience I’ve ever had. Left my husband with a 103 degree fever and chills in the crowded waiting room for 5 hours and then another 3 in an exam room till he saw a doctor. Now they’re taking forever to discharge him. We came here because the marquee advertises low wait times, what a joke. Would leave zero stars if I could.

My husband was scheduled for an MRI at 3 o’clock and they called him at 2 o’clock to tell him they could not do it because he doesn’t have insurance. This is after he waited three weeks to get this appointment. He actually does have insurance through COBRA and he told them this but they couldn’t get it to come up in their computer, so they won’t do the MRI of his foot, and he has been having pain for the last year. When you try to call the hospital to straighten this out you have to go through several menus that have nothing to do with your issue and finally you never get to talk to anyone. This is the worst service we have ever experienced in healthcare.

Went there yesterday for a eye cyst and rash. Rudest people ever. Only checked my eye, didnt even address the rash that I have. If I could give zero stars I would. Staff was beyond rude and inconsiderate.

We left Westmoreland bc we waited 10 mins after asking for a wheelchair and no one came so we left and came here...first time here pulled up to the door and walked in to ask for a chair and someone was already walking out with one! Still waiting to be taken back! Will post soon with full experience!

Laid in a bed for six hours just for them to randomly come in of the last hour of me being there telling me to take my bra off for x-rays then the lady wouldn’t leave the room so while in pain i had to take my bra off with my shirt on and i hadn’t meant the doctor until 10 minutes after being discharged gave me a shot with no preparation if i could get zero stars i would

Everything was fast the staff was kind and listened to you and did whatever they could to help

In and out in about an hour, and that included the tests and treatment. Seen by the ER Doctor and didnt have to waste time with an additional step of going thru a physicians assistant. Everyone was very nice and knew what they were doing. A very nice facility. I would definitely go back if necessary. Im very glad I went here and not the hospital 2miles down the road. Im not affiliated with either place.

What an asset to have in our community. Needed an Emergency room due to a sport injury and decided to try here. From check-in to check-out it was so clean, quick and professional. We’re so thankful this is 5 mins from our house.

Wont return here. The place looked nice but thats about it. Service was subpar for the cost. Nurse was rude and in a hurry and the ER doctor was so robotic and just couldnt seem to be any less concerned about us. Did nothing for us but sent us a bill for over 3500 dollars for nothing. Wait time was also unacceptable. Ill take my business elsewhere next time.

I was critically sick in May and visited this ER. I was treated very well and feel that I had the best care! I had to be admitted and because of my insurance, I was sent to a UPMC hospital for my inpatient stay/surgery. I did not receive good care at that hospital, unfortunately. Looking back, my patient care experience was outstanding at AHN Hempfield! Thank you to the doctor and nurses who took care of me when I was at my sickest!

While the receptionist was nice, I filled out more paperwork there than the amount of time they actually saw me! They didnt even give me enough medical supplies to change bandages for my injury. Also no medical staff were wearing masks. Very unprofessional! Felt like I was a bother to staff the whole time I was there! Stop light by hospital takes 10 minutes to turn green when turning left!

All of the nurses and my doctor were very helpful and knowledgable. I went through the emergency room and my concerns were taken very seriously and they treated me with great care. Highly recommend!

I had my 2 year old grandson in the ER for stiches in his lip that was almost split the whole way through. MedExpress referred us knowing the hospital was more equipped to handle pediatrics, the amazing staff was able to keep him calm(ish) and placed stiches safetly. They are such a wonderful place and will refer it to everyone.. the only hospital I will go to from here on out...thank you and god bless the wonderful staff at AHN

Reached the ER at 7pm, walked out by 8:20 without even being seen. There were only 2 other people waiting in the ER. I was told the doctor would be in within 5 minutes by two different nurses and an half hour later I chose to just go to UPMC Presby. Even though, UPMC is a much bigger facility, I was seen within 20 minutes and left within 45 minutes total. That is the kind of efficiency needed in an ER

I was in a car accident. Went in the emergency room, waited in the lobby for 45-55 minutes. Then taken back to the room, waited another hour, wasnt seen in the 2 hrs I was there. I left. Not ever recommending this place. Id rather go to Excela for sure!!!
