Hi, I was a college student attending one of the local colleges here in Greensboro. I was being seen at Monarch the lateral part of my college years and I got mentally sick. So, one day I decided to catch an Uber to get help at Monarch and yes you will be waiting for at least four hours to be seen by a doctor. Got called back to register, the lady her name was Toni denied me treatment since I didn’t have insurance. I was severely depressed with suicidal ideations. The only thing she said was to do pay $150 to be seen or go to UNCG to be seen. So, I walked all the way from Monarch to UNCG campus to be seen by a psychologist and it ended me staying at the hospital. Do not waste your time going here.

Terrible unconcerned staff,I am very Ill with no insurance and a place that also claims to help the disabled could not help me and therapist once laughed at me when I said I was very Ill and extremely depressed . Monarch is a fraud ,they only care about money and truly did not help me ,literally would allow someone in need to die and mock them. This is a real experience I had ,and so Monarch is dangerous to those truly in need in the community.

Very unprofessional. If you are in immediate need this is NOT the place for you. I’ve called 4 times to schedule appointments and each time I’m on hold for 20+ minutes before anyone answers. I’ve been transferred to a mailbox before I could even express what my need was. Some of the staff is very rude and careless. This does not provide for a therapeutic environment.

I had the best therapist and best psychiatrist of all at Monarch. I was treated with the up most respect. If I ever had a problem I could go to them and they would point me in the right direction, I would recommend them to anyone,

If you are new to this place, be prepared to wait in the lobby anywhere from 4 to 8 hours your first visit. And possibly your second visit if you were not seen by a therapist & psychiatrist your first visit. The only good thing is that you get prescribed the medicine you need same day or much sooner than other places in town where you will have to wait 6 weeks.

I see alot of negative reviews here.My experience has not only been life changing but life saving and I accredit Dr Alemu and therapist, Melissa Graves.Their genuine caring, drove me too work hard and believe change was possible. I no longer allow depression and PTSD to rule my life. The right medication and therapy I received at Monarch is everything Ive always needed but never received any where else. Now, because of the change in me, my new husband just started at Monarch too. He suffers from the same issues I have. In the short time hes been at Monarch, we are seeing a difference in his life. Im so thankful for everything Monarch has done for my husband and I. I would recommend them to anyone struggling with mental health!

I have been trying to get medical records for my child from this place for 2 months now. I finally got to speak to someone face to face about this last week and was told she would put a rush request on it and would have the records for me within a couple days. A week later still no records. This is delaying my daughter from receiving much needed care at another doctors office.

Megan, the nasty woman doing my psych evaluation, got mad because she couldnt keep up with my answers, so instead of calmly asking me to slow down, she threw her pen down and yelled STOP!!! at me.I have PTSD and this startled the daylights out of me and she had a very hateful expression when I looked up at her. This type of treatment is probably why my friends warned me about this place and now I can definitely see they were right. Im now seeking someone in a private practice, Monarch hadnt changed one bit. Im disgusted and extremely hurt that I wasted my time with these people.

Nurse was extremely unkind-just said “we can’t help you” and walked away! I thought they were here to Help you-walking away from a patient without finishing with an informative conversation is extremely rude and unkind-not helpful at all!

They are still saying they have a psychiatrist. I had a nurse practitioner who usually talks with his back to me. He also yells at me and appears to get patients in and out in order to rush to the next person. I would not go there again if it were free. I complained to the home office and I feel like they were being pretentious. I have never encountered such horrible care.

The employees of this place is cold hearted and theres one who uses her degree and blue book to diagnose her on child to get her on meds that isnt needed and she plays her child against her real daddy i thought counselors was to before the family and they are not this one person doesnt need this job cause she is bipolar herself and takes a 1000 mg of lithium a day to stay some what sain i think places that offer counseling need to do a medical back ground on their employees before letting them treat other people
