I would recommend Tusculum Dental to anyone! Everyone was super nice! The dental hygienist was so sweet and explained everything she was doing. The dentist looks for the long term fix and gave me options. I highly recommend them!

If I could give this Dentist 6 stars I would!I have an incredible amount of dental related anxiety but that was put at ease by Dr. Renner. He was kind, personable, friendly, and willing to answer some questions for me about my TMJ problems.I needed multiple fillings done, and this office was literally almost HALF the cost of a practice in Johnson City for the same amount of work. I opted for the nitrous prior to getting numbed as I have a big Hangup about needles and dental work in general. Coincidentally, this was also the first dental/medical procedure I had done since exploding my spine in a car accident several years ago and having to have an emergency 5 level spinal fusion.When the gas started and I got loopy, the sound of the nitrous gas compressor triggered an intense PTSD reaction as Dr. Renner was beginning the fillings process. I started to freak out, hyperventilating, crying, totally full of fear and dread and having flashbacks to that surgery. Dr. Renner immediately picked up on my fear reaction and responded calmly and empathetically. I was pretty embarrassed as I obviously didn’t anticipate that kind of reaction. I stammered out a brief explanation of my medical history, and apologized for acting silly, as I felt pretty vulnerable and embarrassed about my intense reaction out of nowhere.He didn’t make me feel dumb, and he didn’t act annoyed by my reaction. He gave me a few moments to calm down, and asked if I wanted to continue or try another day. I said I was okay to go on, and I think he may have upped the nitrous flow to help ease the anxiety. That seemed to help a lot, and I was able to continue and he finished up 4 fillings in what seemed like no time.Additionally, the office allowed me to pay for the work I had done on a payment plan. Regrettably, I lost my job a couple months after I got the work done, and it’s taken me FOREVER to finally pay the balance off. I was paying some as often as I could, but it took much longer than it should have. However, I stayed in touch with the office and let them know my situation and they were very kind and understanding.I was finally able to satisfy the remaining balance a couple days ago, and I made sure to thank them for not turning me over to collections even though most places would have because it took me so long to pay.If you want kind, compassionate, talented dental care at a reasonable price, this is definitely the office to go to! I’m very thankful that Dr. Renner and his staff are such good people. I will forever give them my dental work business and I’ll tell everyone I know about them as well. Thank yall!

Not too sure about them. My long time dentist retired and they scheduled me with Tusculum. Havent been there yet. They cancelled on me three times now. Sorry I have to take a day off to go to the denist. Nobody works in Greeneville anymore. You apparently have to be a bonehead to schedule on a holiday weekend. Its been a year now since I been to the dentist because of being rescheduled. Thanks a lot.

Dr. Renner and his team at Tusculum Dental care are absolutely amazing. Dr. Renner is literally one of the nicest people I have ever met. They are patient and so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I’ve been to many different dentist who couldn’t numb me up well and I’ve never had that problem here. I drive from Knoxville TN, and hour and a half away, just to see him. The nurses and front office staff are all wonderful. I’ve never had one bad experience there.

This place has definitely reduced my anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. They also have great in-house payment options. Most thorough dental cleaning I have ever had! I was a dental assistant for 10 years in Florida and had lost hope I’d ever find an office that would measure up to the care I was accustomed to. Tusculum Dental superseded all my expectations. Jessica is a very professional hygienist and Dr Shepherd is most kind, gentle and knows what he is doing. Highly recommend. Great staff all around, although I don’t know all their names yet. Front the front desk to the assistants - bravo!!

This place is amazing. Friendly caring staff, dentist who are informative and experienced. In the waiting room today I watched how the front office staff treated the waiting room full of people and they were equally friendly and attentive to everyone. I highly recommend this dental office.

All staff was very nice. They make you feel right at home and make you feel like youve known them for years. They are very thorough in the exam process and let you see everything as far as x-rays and pointing out problem areas. I look forward to going back.

I feared going to the dentist. The sounds and smell would boost my anxiety. I avoided going to the dentist for 30 years.I took my daughters to Tusculum Dental for a cleaning. Vivian Woods cleaned my daughters teeth. They had a great experience. I thought I would give it a try. They would tell me what they are going to do before doing it. Everyone that works there are super nice. I know I am in good hands. I would highly recommend anyone who has a fear of dental work like I do, this place will take care of you.

The staff was Awesome!!! I had two of my grand children with me and they gave them an iPad to play with and watched them while I was being seen by Doctor Shepherd. Dr Shepherd was able to diagnose my issue and a course of treatment at my first visit. I had been going to another Dentist for over a year and he couldn’t figure out what was causing my pain or how to treat it. Vist was for a routine cleaning & check up. First time having Megan as my dental assistant who cleaned and gave me a fluoride treatment. She done a great job!! Also had x-ray which didnt reveal good results. But Dr Shepard was there with a course of action. Wouldnt have anyone else but these folks taking care of my teeth !

Front office staff mediocre at best, the non-cruising ladies that they are. Jessica is so so at best, no humor, cant sing, aint sure which end of the tool shes supposed to use. Doc Renner is funny as hell as usual......mist be the laughing gas.All in all you couldnt have a better staff and experience. Love them all.
