My visit with Retina Group of Washington was pleasant. The doctor and the rest of the staff were pleasant, polite, professional and proficient. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. The offices were clean and bright. They were pleasantly furnished. The chairs and the instruments were all sanitized before use. There were no crowds in the waiting areas. There were no long waits to see the doctor and/or technicians.

Dr. Weichel is a very good doctor although my last two visits, which are scheduled once a year, I waited far too long for the 10 minutes he spent with me. He left so quickly I did not get to ask any questions.Today I was driven from Silver Spring, with a torn Achilles tendon and wearing a large boot. I had a 10:15 appointment. When I arrived I was told the doctor was not there! The receptionist said they called me back in April to cancel my appointment. This is not true! I was upset and did not reschedule. This is not the first time my appointments have been changed. I understand sometimes this is necessary, but please, do not tell me you called when you didnt. I will not be returning to The Retina Group.

I love going to the Bowie office of Dr Weichel. They are so nice and very professional, and generally run right on appt time. I have so much confidence in Dr Weichel 👍🏼 Hes the best

Dr. Weichel is great. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. The receptionists not so much. They never called me back to set up a yearly appointment so I went 2 years with no appointment. When my husband called to set up a second appointment, the receptionist first told him he had to have his yearly checkup even though he had just seen the doctor and then said that his yearly appointment was in November and started giving us dates in September. When we told her she was in the wrong month she argued with us and finally saw her error but never apologized. She would have been fired on the spot had she been working for me. We were going to the Greenbelt office but Dr. Weichel is moving to the Bowie office. I hope the office staff is better there.

Dr. Weichel is an example of how all doctors should be. He takes time to fill you in on all options and patiently answers all questions. He and the Retina Group of Washington staff are well coordinated and a pleasure to work with.My detached retina surgery was three months ago. Results have been excellent. I credit Dr. Weichel for this result ( and maybe a bit of good luck as well).I cannot recommend him highly enough.

DR. Weichel, was friendly and informative, he replaced DR Priya Vakharia who was on medical leave. I had two operations for detach Retina. The first one did not work and the second one did not work and my vision in that eye can not be corrected with glass and nothing else can be done. The only thing that I am upset with is during follow up visits for both operation , DR Priva Vakharia had told me every thing looks good and on second operation she siad everything looks good and my vision should be corrected with glasses.

First class operation from the time you arrive until you check out. Had a Vitrectomy for floaters procedure and the floaters are 100% removed. Dr. Weichel is all you could ask for in doctor. Down to earth and has years of achieving great results.

Great experience in eye care. Professional, courteous and Covid-19 aware staff to do preliminary screening and tests. Dr. Weichel was most thorough in his exam and, equally important, he took the time to explain my current condition as well as the path forward. Wonderful overall feeling. Dr explaned the findings in a very understandable way.From check in to check out everyone was helpful friendly and a tuned to me.Every nurse and 2 doctors were amazingly attentive.Ive been here 4 times over about 7 years, there is a noticeable upgrade in service and attitude of the whole office.They all are great.

I had an emergency on a Sunday and Dr. Weichel met me at the office and immediately recommended me for surgery which I had the next day. I had a detached retina and Dr. Weichel was very concerned that it would get worse.
