I had a pleasant experience with this clinic. I have only been there once so far, but am going in for another appointment on Monday. I’ll save my rating for 5 stars until then.Couldn’t find this rating page until tonight. I would have commented sooner.I hope people understand the amount of people they see who are all in pain. I don’t see this as an easy job. I find if your nice to people, they usually are nice to you.

Im sorry during this years covid as if this is not enough that so many advanced pain managements have closed across the state and patients are driving hundreds of miles to get treatment they mistreat patients and dont check messages to fix there mistakes during the holiday seasons when for the second time in only five months that they have forgotten to fax two months worth of pain meds for my husband meds so he can enjoy the holidays also not spend it withdrawing off of meds that shouldnt be happening I think it is mistreatmemt of patients when his meds should have been filled for two months not one and leaving a message for pain management that is unanswered. We were with the one in wausau and Stevens point and have never had any problems in years.

I have been going to APM for approximately 6 years. My PCP referred me to them when I was diagnosed with a little known hereditary disorder that causes widespread chronic pain. The doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses and support staff have all been incredibly supportive and understanding! After years of seeing specialists trying to figure out why I was in so much pain and hitting one dead end after another, only to be diagnosed with a disorder that most doctors hadnt had any experience with, I honestly did not have much hope for pain relief. I had specialists that told me there was nothing they could do. The doctors and especially my personal hero, my NP Rita, have gone above and beyond the norm to understand what I am going through. They understand that what works for one patient does not always work for the next. Rita has educated herself on my disorder and I honestly feel that she cares about me. She has cheered me on through all the physical and mental ups and downs that I have gone through. I cannot express how grateful I am to have her on my side through all of the challenges that I have faced over the years. She has even contacted my surgeons and physical therapist to make sure that they understand my condition and that they are on the same page as far as treatment goes. Rita is simply amazing!!

I started going to Advanced Pain Management approximately 6 years ago for my chronic pain. I first saw Rita, and now Im seeing Karen. Both nurse practitioners are amazing! I would recommend them to anybody. They take the time and they care about you. Today for instance was a bad day for me, when I had my appointment I was in a lot of pain and at the end of the appointment Karen was kind enough to give me a hug knowing that I needed that to help me feel better. Knowing that she understood what I was going through and how much pain I was in really made a difference. This Clinic is an amazing place. Ive never been any place that has made you feel so comfortable and welcoming, so at home. The nurses, the doctors, and the staff is amazing! They make you feel so comfortable and safe. You can ask questions and tell them whats going on in your life and they will go above and beyond to answer your questions and make you feel comfortable, like they want to help you, like they understand what your going thru, and they treat you like youre a person/friend and not just another number on a chart. Honestly I dont know what I would do without this clinic taking such personal care of their patients like they do.

My Neurologist sent me to (APM), about 10 years ago to help get my Migraines under control. At the time Id had constant Migraines for about a year and a half, and I was ready to end my life. The only reason I hadnt was I had three kids and was married at the time for 18 years, and I didnt want to think what it would of done to them. Plus I didnt want my wife or kids to find my body. We are now going to be married 29 years on October 12th. Dr. Lindsey got me in to see the psychologist on site right away. After working with him for roughly a year, I no longer have the thoughts anymore. APM worked hard, to get me the help I needed. I now work with Rita Christensen, and couldnt be happier. She listens to what I have to say, and if I need something, (therapy, a surgeon, or another type of Dr). She gets whatever I need set up so I dont have to worry about it. Right now I have a, MORPHINE PUMP, and (2) SPINAL CORD STIMULATORS that are implanted in my back, with (4) leads going to my neck and shoulders and (3) leads going in my head. Im not Migraine free, but it has taken about 90% of them away. I have (I call her my girlfriend), but we are just really good friends. She has MS, just like I do. She had a Neurologist she did not care for at all, so I gave her the name and number to mine, who I really like, and within weeks she was going there and making progress. Then she was telling me she needed something else, and asked what I was doing for the pain. So I told her about Rita and APM gave her the number, and now she is also going there. I would recommend anybody the was having Chronic Pain to Advance Pain Management of Wisconsin.

I have been a patient at this clinic for about 2 years now. I came to this clinic seeking answers about the root cause of my pain. My previous pain dr made me feel as though the pain was all in my head. I honestly felt I was going crazy. Dr Karen and the other physicians and nurses continued to seek out reasons for my pain and discovered multiple bulged discs in my neck. She solidified all the symptoms I had been going through and listened to me and answered all my questions. She and the rest of the staff have been nothing short of wonderful and continue to help me work through the best options available for me. I do not know what I would do without this care team. I highly recommend them to anyone experiencing long term pain issues! The out patient ambulatory center also continues to do an excellent job with my procedures and they also ensure I am comfortable and understand the treatment I am receiving. I can’t say enough good things about this clinic! You immediately feel welcome when you walk through the door, from the staff at the front desk, and by every nurse and physician at this clinic!

The doctors & nurses at A.P.M. are highly professional, with a flair of personal kindness. Their staff of receptionists,, always have a friendly smile just as you enter their building. For years Ive been working with Rita Christensen. Whos attention to detail when I speak, is key. The fact that Rita takes hand written notes while listening to me, is a fastidious, and important way she treats my issues of pain. If researching something new is needed, Rita will do so. Doctors and Nurses treat a pt by what they are told. APM makes time to listen, so you will receive proper treatment.

She is brilliantly smart, always suggesting new things if things dont seem to be working or if I have pain. She gives whole heartedly of her time. I never feel rushed or pushed into doing something I dont want to do. She is not a pill pusher either...she tries many options. If I could give this place a NEGATIVE star instead of 1 star I would do that in a heartbeat. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. I suffered a horrific accident several months ago and was there to try to get the pain (not going to be specific because I dont want the witch that saw me to know who is writing this is) under control. I specifically asked for NON NARCOTIC medicine that could make my life a little more bearable and the NP so rudely said sorry but no prescriptions are happening and slammed the door. I would NOT recommend this place to my worst enemy and I cant believe that even after reading the negative reviews I even gave this place a glimmer of hope. The ladies at the front were so nice and welcoming and the nurse that saw me first was as nice as can be, all downhill after that. New to this town and I can say that my impression of Green Bay so far is that there is one group of medical professionals that dont deserve that title. I find it VERY comical that 4 years ago a review gave this pathetic practice 5 star review and every review since has been one star! I hope maybe this gets the point across that they deserve a - star review as opposed to that one positive review from many years ago to bump there stars up. Based on the types of the reviews this place has gotten, and my own past experiences with another clinic, I was terrified before I made my first appointment. However, I can say with the exception of one very unpleasant phone conversation, I have had excellent experiences. The one exception was when I called during a pain crisis (I was in tears before calling them, and in tears afterward). The nurse was rude, made some erroneous assumptions and some baseless accusations, and was not particularly apologetic after I explained that she was mistaken, and misunderstood the situation (and the reason for my call) because she had not been listening. However, she did acknowledge finally that a miscommunication had occurred, even if she was not particularly nice about it. Besides that ONE experience, all of my other interactions and appointments have been excellent. The doctors that I see are some of the only ones I have met who are very familiar with my rare condition. They gave me good advice, and allowed me to be involved in my care and help decide which treatments to pursue. I also learned some fascinating new facts about my condition that I did not know before! They also introduced me to a psychologist that specializes in helping patients with chronic illness and I couldnt be more grateful. I have been with them for six months, but there have been about a dozen appointments in that time. I hope my relationship with this clinic continues to be positive and productive. Having said all that, I want to say that I understand why other people get upset when they have trouble getting access to the pain management that they need. I cannot deny some of the stories in these reviews may be an accurate portrayal of those patient experiences. However, I have never seen the staff read magazines or file their nails or do anything other than office work. I only posted this review to offer another viewpoint on this clinic, because the ones already shared seemed very one-sided, and they do not reflect what I have experienced. I am generally happy with my relationship with Advanced Pain Management and I hope I continue to be.

I was going there for I years, my dr. Was dr. Marco Aujio he was very caring doctor listened and answered all my questions, but he relocated to Dallas tx. My first appointment since he left was with KAREN BURR, A LITTLE SHORT WITH ME, but whatever than I’m getting calls saying I need to come in for a med check, I told them I was just there two days Prior For the med check, they said oh they do this, I told them I’ve been going there 9 years never once did they do this. I can’t just go cuz I have to have a driver, cuz I also have vertigo, so I had appointment two days after for a procedure and they put me to see KAREN BURR, she asked for my pain pills, so I gave to her, not knowing what was about to happen. She then took my pain pills from me, and said I tested dirty, I was dumbfounded and told her I’ve been coming here for 9 years never ever tested like that b4. So she said if I would be willing to take another drug test, I said absolutely. So I was very upset, what am I going to do now, they called a few days later saying I tested negative so I can make appointment to have procedures done, but they will no longer give me pain pills. I was truly upset! I told KAREN BURR, the only thing I’ve been taking differently was I was using cod oil, but I had asked dr. Aujio if it was ok, and he said that was fine. But KAREN said maybe it was that, that showed up. So I’m like well, how is that my fault, I got permission from dr. Aujio first, and she said well he’s no longer here. The staff treated me horribly. I will never go back there again. And the week b4 this incident of mine, they did the exact same thing to my 78 year old mother! She was very hurt and will never go back there again! Like really I’m a grandmother and she’s a great grandmother, I know I didn’t do any wrong doing, and my elderly disabled mother didn’t also. Worst of all they turned us into drug addicts, with the opioids and then took them away Abruptly! To where me and my mother wanted though withdraws. At our age!! It’s like they were cleaning house, getting rid of old patients. Ever since Dr. Aujio left, this place went horribly wrong with people. You can’t play god, and or play with there mind body n soul like that. They are liers! Be careful people of this place now. New doctors new rules!

Everyone from the receptionists to the nurses on to Dr. Karen have always had my best interest at heart. Its pretty simple at APM, if your in pain theyll help to no end ... If youre there for any other reason other than pain they will see through the facade and eventually call you out, simple. I highly recommend APM of Green Bay, I honestly believe without them helping me with my chronic pain that I might not be around, honestly there were/are times when the pain is so bad that I thought/think Id be better off dead. Also i got treated like a drug addict, but they randomly test you for illegal drugs and levels on the meds you are already taking. I hear so many say that is how they get treated there. If your test comes up positive they refused to see you all together. So for those who stayed for years and never got dismissed but got treated like an addict, find another clinic. These doctors dont care or try. They just want their money for ignoring you.

Ive been going here for about 2 years. I felt the first few procedures they did were a waste of my time and money because they did nothing for my pain. And they were over $30,000 which I owed my part and the insurance paid the remainder. After reading the reviews, I do believe they are in it for the money, not to help us. I was assigned a Nurse Practitioner after the Dr decided there was not much else he could do for me . They constantly preach exercise or we wont give you any medication to help with the pain. This was blackmail. I was in so much pain because of osteoarthritis and Fibromyalsia, I would hardly walk. I am not one of those people who live off the government or disability either. I go to work every day because that is the way I was raised. IN pain or not. They began to treat me like an addict, even when I tried to not take my medication unless it was really bad. I always had extra medication because of this. That was even worse..They treated me so unfair. so now I take it every day to control my pain but as the months progress I am getting worse. They only give me the minimum narcotics so when I get home from work I cannot walk due to pain and have no medication to get thru the remainder of the day and go right to bed. I honestly wish they had to endure what some of us have to with pain. There are people out there on disability who are far better off than me, yet I get ridiculed for TRYING. This CLINIC is bad at treating people for their pain. But right now if I want to work fulltime to keep my insurance and my home to live in, I need to go see them. When I asked them if they wanted to go on disability or try and function as a NORMAL HUMAN who works each day, the Practitioner told me it didnt matter to him. I started crying and left there in tears.I do have a new practitioner whom ive seen twice now and I do find her much better. Caring. im willing to try whatever she says to control or rid myself of the pain. She maybe the only decent person ive ever met at this CLINIC. Until I find a new Dr or I die.... or retire... and that is 15 yrs away.
