Theyre going to try to get you to buy every $$$ add-on in existence. I can deal with that- but there is zero consistency in terms of technical & customer service skill among staff here. At least one employee is incapable of reading measurement notes left by her manager, which seems troubling at best. Glasses are a medical device; it shouldnt be this hard to order a new pair. Manager is nice & so was the Dr. I just wish things werent so disorganized as I was told repeatedly today. Maybe they have no protocol for recording measurements- but as a medical facility, they should create a standardized method of recording patient information asap.

When I went in for my 1st eye appointment the staff were very rude and not helpful. I had asked where I could find some specific frames and the best deals and she did not care or want to help. When my first pair came in the first time the prescription was wrong. They did cover the cost to remake my prescription. The associate that helped me said that I had picked out a pair of reading glasses and would need to come back to choose a new pair of frames. I came back a week later to do so and the lady told me that those were not readers. Once getting my real prescription in a month and a half later my frames got broke. The doctor was very rude and has horrible bedside manor. If you want good customer service do not use Visionworks. I will never step foot back in there. I should have not gone there in the first place. Awful. If i could give a - 5 star I would.

There wasnt enough staff to care for patients, therefore the appointment took longer than expected. Even though that was disappointing, i believed that the doctor made up for it. He made sure that i was able to see clearly and gave me some recommendations on a couple of contact lenses that would work for me.

Hi Ihave recently had to get any exam for contact lenses, had asked if Medicaid helped with that and I was told yes, except like a $3 co pay. After the exam as I was ordering my lenses I was told I owed like $75.00.when i asked why I was told because the Doctor had given me some type of eye drops. I was not informed of this prior to receiving the drops, and had no idea, or I would not have gotten them. I am nearly legally blind and have an incurable cancer, and live on a very limited income. So in order to be able to even order the much needed contact lenses, I of course had to pay the $75. I brought it up to the receptionist of course. And as always with any business, they act like its no big deal. Because it is not them my shoes, and its very frustrating. Thanks for letting me share my experience.

Ive been going to this place for contacts 17 years now and Ive always had my contacts shipped to me for free. Today I called ordered contacts expecting free delivery but instead they told me 20$ charge now because of covid-19! What does covid-19 have anything to do with shipping??? Total greed and Im upset. Now I gotta go all the way to greeley to get one box of contacts! Not right!

Searched for walk in eye exams and Vision works came up. It even says on their door, no appointment necessary, but when I asked to get an eye exam, they said the earliest they could get me in was in 5 days. Wow, 5 day wait for a walk in exam? What a joke. I understand that walk might not mean immediate, but give me a break. If you are going to advertise, you better be prepared to back it up.

I had my first experience with vision works 2 weeks ago. I did not need an eye exam, but did have a script for new glasses, from my regular optometrist.The staff was great, and after I picked out my 2 new frames,(BOGO) the staff-Sandra was amazing at listening to everything extra, I wanted with my new lenses. (No-line bifocals with transitional darkening in sunlight).I can’t wait to pick up my new glasses today😊! I will give another rating after I pick my new glasses up, and make sure the changes in my prescription are correct, and I can see more clearly😊😊.

Was given inaccurate information about the insurance for my glasses when I bought them and was told that even though I never had to use the insurance because my 1year insurance had just expired I couldn’t fix the pair of glasses I had. Not very happy with this company that charge allot of money for only a mediocre product and less that satisfactory coverage plans. Will be going to America’s best from now on.

The Dr was excellent very knowledgeable and nice. He checked my medications to be sure none of them could be affecting my vision and redid a test to be sure the results were correct.However my original appointment was cancelled due to the Dr being ill the staff didn’t put my number in correctly so I wasn’t notified which was very inconvenient as I had to find a babysitter and get a ride as I had to have my eyes dilated.At my rescheduled appointment the staff still had my number wrong and I had to wait almost 45 minutes after my scheduled time.

Staff was awesome! My daughter had her first appointment ever and the optometrist explained everything she was doing and why. She ended up needing glasses and they were ready the same day! The lady who helped us with picking out lenses was great too she explained all of the options and price.

My sister made an appointment for 6:15PM and they had us waiting 30 minutes or more passed the appointment time. There were not many people but mostly everyone got in and out before she was even seen. We got here around 5:20PM and didnt get to leave until well after 7PM. No one spoke to me until someone asked if I needed to be rung up. Im not sure I would ever come here again.

They dont call you when youre order is in and when you call and ask if theyre in they say oh well youre order has been in for a while already you ask if you have to call to ask if youre order is in and they have the audacity to lie and say they tried reaching out to you STF up why didnt i get a voice message or something?! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END.THESE PEOPLE ARE EITHER LAZY, CRUEL, OR BOTH. The woman I spoke to was rude and obstinate. I went in to the store to ask them how thier office would handle my vision insurance. Without my permission or knowledge they put an authorization hold on my insurance which can ONLY be released them, then the LIED about being able to release the hold. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!So then when I wanted to get glasses from a reputable place I was not able to because of the hold. MY YEARS BENEFITS ARE WASTED BECAUSE OF THESE LAZY, AWFUL, MEAN PEOPLE

I was taken care of very even though they were short staffed. The doctor was able to suggest a solution to my problem of liking contacts but having both near sightedness & far sightedness and being tired of having to use reader, with mono lenses. So happy!!

I called them and explained how my daughter needed contacts for volleyball,she currently wears glasses. They got me in the same day!! The doctor gave her a exam the staff worked with her putting in contacts and removing them. They had her contacts on site and also we picked out glasses, they had them the next day. Very nice staff.the quote they gave on the phone was just what I was charged,no hidden charges. I am pleased with the service.i will go there for all my families glasses. Thank you Vision Works

Our experiences with this location were pretty subpar. The first time service was great while our second visit lacked any semblance of professional tact. While I did schedule an appointment on a weekend day I do expect some type of consistency as if I had scheduled an appointment during the week. One thing that really bothered me was waiting 15 minutes just for examination check in and to be handed a clipboard while a few of the staff members working there kept poking their heads about doing nothing -- this was just the check in process to give your name/insurance, sign all the necessary documents which was an underwhelming three pieces of paper. I am usually okay with waiting -- especially if I dont have an appointment to begin with, but the initial social interaction bothered me, or lack thereof. How can I put this nicely, it was pretty bad. Like you want to leave type of bad even though you did everything you were supposed to do kinda bad. When a you make someone feel like they are bothering you, but they have set up an appointment, this is quite telling. The same cant be said for the checkout process because when I handed over some hard earned cash, it was a quick 10 minutes from start to finish to get glasses. Also the staff seemed completely overwhelmed, overworked and irritated -- which I can relate to but they could always choose to handle it differently. Long story short for this location and its associates , expect the foot traffic since you are in fact located on a pretty busy and convenient shopping strip.

I was leery of using Visionworks due to their low rating. It was the 4th place I went & I finally found a pair of frames I liked. I had planned to just buy the frames & have my doctor make the lenses, but we were in the midst of a family emergency & I just wanted to get it done. They were quick & efficient & even kept their promise to remake the lenses if I didnt like the Transitions. They were easy to work with & Im happy with my purchase. I would go there again.

Overpriced! Wouldn’t even try to bill my insurance. Staff extremely young and inexperienced, SLOW and INACCURATE! Entered warranty on one pair but not the other and won’t repair or rectify glasses or their mistake! Will never go back!

My glasses broke and I am nothing without my vision, stressed about money and if I could afford anything I called Visionworks and they scheduled me and I showed up .I talked to the lady up front and she was helpful and pleasant while also explaining everything they offered and certain costs. Well I ended up going for the eye exam and check out the contact extra. It felt so relaxing when I did all the tests and learned how to put the contact in. Dawn and Dr.Gardner were very top notch .

I came here for the first time with my kids my 4 year old had to get an eye exam the ladys in the front were so nice and very helpful but once we went to the back room to be seen by the doctor it was a different story, my son had ran in to the door and start to cry the doctor was so rude and even rolled his eyes told me he would come back when I was done I told him oh wow you must never get kids that come in here for you to be so rude and act like that when a child crys he then sayswhatever and walks away from me rolling his eyes again I was so upset we left right then not even finished, the lady in the front apologizing for the way the doctor acted. I do not recommend this place to anyone who has kids.(Dr.kundson) was very unprofessional.

When I came in to get my eye exam, the girls who worked up front were friendly enough. When I was finished with my exam, one of the ladies was really friendly and being buddy buddy with my fiance and I. She was very helpful and made us feel like she really cared. After we spent over $400 on new glasses, we were instructed to fill out a survey online about her. I went home and gave her a positive review. I regret doing so now, as I picked up my new glasses about a week later, and upon arriving home I noticed that the right arm of one of my frames wiggled back and forth and felt loose. So I went back to Visionworks and before I could even say what my problem was, the woman working at the counter got very defensive. I was immediately interrupted by her and she took my glasses and said there was nothing wrong with them. I tried to explain my concerns several times and was interrupted each time with a condescending response of they all do that because of the spring hinges and that is supposed to happen. I realize that spring hinges will move, but this particular arm wiggled side to side in a way that the other arm did not, and I expect a product I spend that much money on to have a little bit of customer service when there is an issue with them. The woman who was my best friend just a few days earlier didnt even acknowledge or speak to me. I guess since I wasnt there to spend money I wasnt worth her time anymore. I felt very disappointed with the behavior and disrespect of the women working the front counter.

I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam at 12:30 here because my husband recommended to go here and said the eye exam takes about 15 mins. I showed up for my appointment at 12:20 and filled out the paperwork needed. I waited until 12:50 and was never called back for my exam. I had to leave because I was only on my lunch break. The lady at the desk was busy so I couldn’t tell her I needed to leave. I called to let them know I had left and to reschedule. When they answered they asked “Do you mind if I place you on hold” I said “Yes, I do mind” but they put me on hold anyway. I couldn’t wait on hold so I hung up and called back again a few hours later. I asked to schedule a new appointment and the lady put me on hold to see what times were available. I hung up after waiting on hold for over 4 mins. I called much later to ensure It was not busy and got someone different in the phone who was helpful and did not put me on hold. I still need an exam but dont want the same experience.They sent me a link in a text message to submit a review but when I clicked ‘submit’ it just came up with an option to download “thankyou” but when I clicked download or clicked the X it didn’t do anything. The only option I had left on the page was to go to google to submit my review.

Worst place to go to, customer service and Drdoesnt assist with information! Kept hanging up on me and couldnt even call landline with information. Dr didnt give information on stigmatism or cataract when exam was given. Didnt give any eye drops out or information on that either, poor service all the way around! But they sure like your money!

Spent about $700 on two pairs of glasses and a year supply of contacts . I was called on my “guaranteed arrival date “ to be told the order never got put in . Already been 3 weeks now being told I have to wait another 1-2 weeks . No kind of compensation for this this just a sorry . Id purchased glasses online the last two times I needed them and only used Visionworks for the eye exam because it was the cheapest place I could find one. Last year I decided to try them for actually purchasing glasses and Ive been underwhelmed. The service was mediocre, but given past experiences with the company, I wasnt surprised by that. The glasses, however, are not good. Ive never had to clean glasses so much in my life. Every tiny spec of dirt or dust sticks to these lenses, despite them being advertised as being better than the average lens. I dont think I cleaned all the pairs of glasses Ive ever owned as much as Ive had to clean these in the last year. Also, Visionworks scheduled my follow up eye exam without my knowledge, I only found out when they called to tell me the date and time of it (I cancelled, of course). Would likely use for an eye exam if no other cheaper options were available, but I doubt Ill buy glasses here again.

I work in customer service and this is ridiculous. I come in to simply buy a single box of contacts and got told I have to wait 30 minutes just to get rang up. It takes 2 minutes to charge me for a box of contacts versus 30 minutes to tend to an eye exam. Very rude, very unorganized and horrible customer service. The logical thing would be to ring me up for my contacts and than continue with the eye exam patients who have clearly already been waiting. I now remember why I quit coming here and took my business else where. If it wasnt for the fact that I needed these asap I wouldve walked out. I will continue to use my current place and just order my brand in advance rather than support a business who clearly doesnt care about the people who keep them in business.
