My dad lives here and loves it! When he first moved into Brookdale, it was just going to be for a month or so while he gained his strength back after a fall. After a couple of months, he told us that he wanted to stay there if at all possible! He has always said that the workers are all so helpful and kind. He says they will do anything for him and never act like it is a burden at all. Thanks for taking such good care of my dad, Brookdale! I would highly recommend Brookdale to anyone looking for an assisted living community for their loved one!

I frequently have to visit this facility to provide physical therapy services if needed and it’s obvious to see that the staff cares so much for their residents. They take great care of them and are always so friendly to me when I’m there. All around genuine people!

My brother has lived at Brookdale Great Bend for seven months. He has been doing very well under their care and I couldnt be happier. They are very caring and helpful to him and contact me if any needs arise. I would highly recommend this facility if you are looking for a place for your loved one.

My aunt and uncle lived here - my aunt died a couple years ago. Being out of state and wanting to connect with my uncle, I often sent him packages of things he like and needed...pajamas, socks, candy, chocolate...the things he said he needed if only he could get to Walmart, but was unable to. I’d call and he had not received any package. I initially thought he was confused - he was not. I spoke with staff and they confirmed he had not received the package I sent, and I confirmed with tracking that it HAD been delivered to the facility. Numerous times this occurred so finally I contacted the dir of nursing with my concern & informed her I was sending all packages to HER. And she needed to ensure they reached my uncle. Some did. Some didn’t. I also let her know as well as wrote a letter asking for my contact info to be placed in his chart - I wanted to be informed of any changing medical conditions (I am an RN) as well as any needs he might have for clothing, etc... Never was I contacted. I had my uncle speak with a staff member to put my name on the list giving me permission to know his condition. Staff confirmed that. And then I was not even informed of his death by staff. —- As a health care provider, this is not a facility I would ever recommend. Communication is horrible. And I suspect his packages I sent were simply being stolen.
