I’m happy to see the community is coming back to its old self. After visiting last week, I can see a positive change with the staff and residents. Front desk was very kind and offered me water or coffee. The new executive director came out to talk with me to see how I was doing along with checking on the well-being of my family. I saw a large group of residents enjoying themselves in the bistro. Much different from how it was a few months ago. It feels like home again. Awesome job! Looking forward to coming around more often again! Best place to be!

This facility is more interested in collecting their money than the care of the residents. When you call the facility to speak to the administration or the business office, they are rarely at the facility. You must then leave a message, they dont return calls in a timely manner. I would not recommend this facility to other families.

I am a current employee and am very happy to be here I feel like I made a great decision to join this organization . The building is not only beautiful but the staff really help our residents in this difficult time of covid. I am very happy to be here.

The building was amazing before Jennifer Lazansky became the executive director here. She makes all the staff quit because she’s rude and unprofessional. Corporate (Jake Call) sweeps everything under the rug. From her giving her family friends access to covid vaccines before her residents to ignoring residents concerns and never returning calls to family members. Google Harbor Chase of Long Grove and read the comments about Jennifer. She gets her friends and family to write good reviews on her. It’s a joke. I hope corporate does something before it’s too late.

Where to begin, we placed my mom in anthology in September 2020. At the time we were in a crisis situation and needed to find a safe place that would provide Alzheimer’s dementia care. This was the only place that would allow me to come in to see in person the rooms and where she would be living. We were told that there was a comprehensive Alzheimer’s/dementia program with specific memory care activities and staff. Needless to say this was a complete bait and switch. Since placing my Mom there there has been massive and frequent staff turnover. Absolutely zero communication and no information about what is happening and what my Mom is doing on a daily basis. When they went into complete Covid lockdown in October things got even worse. Unreturned calls, missed appointments for visits and FaceTime meetings. The administrator was irritated and dismissive when I tried to talk to her. When we were finally able to get in to the memory care floor in February it was shocking. The place looked like a ghost town, empty rooms, zero activity or engagement of the residents. The only staff were basically 2 “care-techs” that had to serve the food, empty the garbage and probably toilet the residents. Nothing but the basics. The activity director was working as a CNA and all the “activity “ supplies are only accessible during the week . My Mom has declined so much in the past 7 months and I wonder if it wasn’t due to the lack of interaction or stimulation. Stay away from this place if you want your loved one to be treated with dignity. this is custodial care at the minimum and neglect is probably a better way to describe the situation, needless to say we moved my Mom out as soon as we were able.

I found it very disturbing the lack of front desk attendants. Last week I needed to pick up an item from the second floor. Tuesday, 12:35 pm, no one at the desk. No pencil to sign in for COVID requirements, no one to take me temp. Waited. Waited.waited. Being on a tight schedule I simply walked onto the elevator went to the second floor, collected the items needed from PT, back down the elevator past the front desk...STILL unoccupied. Clearly security needs to be addressed along with the safety for the residence.

I heard about Anthology from another assisted living place that recommended Anthology. I dealt with Lauren who was very knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating. Lauren went above and beyond to assist my family.

I was completely blown away by this community. The staff obviously care deeply for the residents, and treat them like family. The facility is very clean and cheerful, well decorated and appointed, offering amenities and programs for every type of need - from sedintary to active. And I have never witnessed the level of transparency I did when researching the facility. The staff had patiently answered my questions and addressed my concerns. I very much appreciated their willingness to work closely with us in caring for our family member.

My mom lived temporarily for 5 weeks at Travanse while while waiting for another sister facility much closer to where her daughters live was completed. There can be nothing but positive words for her experience while living in this community. From housekeeping to nursing care to wait staff to everyone else she received nothing be attentive care, kindness and respectful interactions. She cherished the connections she made there with both staff and residents. Highly recommend.

My dad was there 5 days on the memory care floor. The 5th day he fell twice, the second time so bad he was admitted into ICU with bleeding on his brain; if I showed you the pictures youd be mortified how bad off he was! Our experience was terrible theyre very understaffed in the memory care area and for people with dementia and Alzheimers they do not monitor the residents to keep track of eating, sleeping, the bathroom, etc. I wish we had known more to ask and observe before submitting our dad to such cruelty.
