Dr. Steph is very good and informative. And their equipment is state of the art.At the moment in their new facility its a bit of a challenge to get help or info from the office. I still have not been able to get a copy of mt prescription. My friend had the same problem and went back to his previous optometrist. Hope I can get mine.

Terrible customer service. Both my husband and I have purchased eye glasses here. Three times now we’ve never had a return call when we’ve left messages. Last time, my eye glasses were in, but I was never called. I had to physically go into the office to find out they had them. They knew these were my only pair of glasses. Very very disappointed with this business and we will never do business here again.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Tanya for years and think she’s just wonderful. She didn’t have an opening in her schedule so I agreed to see Dr. Steph. Dr. Steph is terrific as well. She’s super sharp, answers questions, takes time with her patients. I’ll definitely return.

The staff were super helpful and friendly.They were even empathetic of my low vision situation.I recommend them to anyone.

I just today had an amazing visit for an eye check-up.! The new equipment that is used did not require my eyes to be dialated.! My previous exam revealed a small tear in my retina., and the careful re-exam showed me it had healed too.!I am comforted by the attention to detail, I have only seen in my Old Opthalmic Md. I will be using this Nor Cal Natives practice for my future visits.! I do not often recommend, but here I gave 5 stars.!

As my eyes are so important to my job, especially when looking at botanical specimens under a loupe, it is critical that I receive top-notch optometry. Dr. Markis-Meyer is not only an excellent professional but takes the time to explain the nuances of how my eyes are changing as I age. I would not hesitate to recommend Grass Valley Eye Care to anyone who cares about their visual health. My family has been living in Roseville for many years and we take the time to travel to Grass Valley as we would not think of trusting our eyes to anyone else. Also a good excuse to get some lunch at Round Table!

I had a great first time experience! My appointment was at 12:15, and I was seen at 12:45. They were running a little behind, but the very efficient staff kept me up to date leaving no question in my mind. Many of us know this simply doesnt happen in most all doctors offices. Glaucoma runs in my family, so the doctor coupled with their state of the art equipment made me feel very comfortable with their diagnosis. The doctor was very knowledgeable, and courteous. After my exam I had no idea what frames I wanted, the knowledgeable staff helped narrow down from their large selection of frames the best fit for my sporting type lifestyle. The doctor and her staff fit me with two sets, one for my computer work, and one set for distance and sports leaving no question as to quality, fit, or price. From start to finish, the office was run like the best restaurant youve ever been to. -Mark N.-

Doctor Tanya and her staff provide amazing service and were even able to help our oldest daughter out when she needed reading glasses. If your local and need anything vision...Grass Valley Eye Care is the place to go!

Great optometry office. I have been a patient of Dr. Markis-Meyer for many years. She and her staff always make sure I have what I need when it comes to my glasses and contacts. She does a very thorough eye exam and explains everything. I come all the way from Roseville and it is well worth the trip.

I have to say the staff is unprofessional ,the right hand doesnt know what the left hands doing.I had my eye exam in Aug & only today received my contacts.There were billing mistakes made to the tune of aprox 150.00.I have never had a Dr that had so much trouble finding the correct rx without having to come back over & over & Ive never had to jump through so many hoops to get my Rx.I started coming here aprox 3 years ago & I just cant believe this place came highly recommended at the time.Im not sure what happened to this practice but after this last fiascoI will not be returning.

Ive always had excellent eye exams at Grass Valley Eye Care during since using their office since 2004. The most recent was no exception. Even though the office was behind schedule and I was the last person of the day, I did not feel rushed, and the optometrist took extra time to explore the most recent changes to my eyesight.

By far the best experience I have ever had. Friendly and helpful staff.

Not happy!! Just wasted 20 minutes out of a busy day, to learn that the hours shown do not mention the business being closed until 2:30 for lunch!! Ill be exploring other options for my eye care and glasses.

As a medi-cal patient I felt they treated me as a germ in their office. Where people get fitted, I had to sit in the hallway for a fitting and while I looked for a pair a frames they watched as if I was going to steal some. They never called for a pick up, I called three weeks later and they were ready... when I picked them up they took me to the hallway desk for fitting when there was a empty fitting desk out front. They schedule medi cal patients differently too. Snooty business!

The worst experience with a business ever. Employees were rude, owner was rude, after months of waiting no concern shown for situation, no one returns calls, no one calls to let you know what is up. Told I could get readers I need to buy while I wait and wait and wait paid for by them if I went to the dollar store!! This was by the owner, Tanya! Glasses were wrong prescription, the worst....never ever go there. I will NOT return if I ever get my glasses! BTW they only post positive reviews on their other site, I have tried to post a negative review and it will not come up.

When i got there, on time for my appt, i asked if the dr was running late, the lady said maybe 5 minutes late, so i waited and waited and waited and after an hour and I finally told them i had to go. i didnt even get an apology or reschedule or anything. they said Oh the dr got held up with his last patient, Gee thanks for telling me so i didnt waste my time . I wasted my entire lunch break sitting in their office.

Grass Valley Eyecares new office is a big plus for our community. A much enlarged office provides larger selection of glasses and an additional optometrist. The care has always been great but now accompanied with a large beautiful office. Give them a try.
