Seriously the best dog training EVER.Not only that but the day time socialization classes are so fantastic for our dog.I would recommend their services any one who needs help with training a new puppy, a rescue, or anything between!

I would like to share my experience with Lauren and her team. They are absolutely AMAZING!! Not only did she train my 2 year old German Shepard . I took him to 2 other trainers and a board/train here in Penn Valley and absolutely no change in his problem behavior. He actually came back worse and the trainer referred me to a trainer in Yuba City. He came back aggressive towards other dogs and I could no longer walk him. Within 2 days of the socializing class my pup was no longer wearing a muzzle, so laying very well with all the other dogs. I then put him though her obedience class. He graduated and off lead test down town!! My pup is absolutely a joy and I able to take him with me everywhere!I ended up going on a vacation so I had to leave our old dog with her. She is set in her ways, hated all other dogs, barked fir no reason! The most annoying dog…but she’s my special needs daughters dog. I’ve tried everything for 10 years to change her behavior. I picked her up my amazement she no longer barks all day long for no reason! The first day she was off her muzzle and started interacting with other dogs. By the time I picked them up she was playing with the pack! I strongly recommend Lauren and her team! Lauren has a gift she has shared with her team! I can’t tell you how pleasant my house is!!

I was doubtful at first that there was anybody who could help me get my newly adopted pup to behave and act like a dog instead of being terrified of everything and barking relentlessly whenever he saw another person or dog but thanks to Lauren and her crew my dog is slowly coming around. I see a difference every day. The half day socialization option is amazing and a good way to get my dog some exercise and training while I’m at work. I’m also doing the basic obedience class and so far it’s easy to take what is taught there and apply it at home. Highly recommend.

Lauren is magic with dogs. We have used PAWSitive Pals services for training and boarding.In her training classes, Lauren taught us the skills we needed to handle our dogs at home and in the community. My dog absolutely loves going to socialization school. I feel 100% confident in Lauren and staff with the best care of our guy! I know hes safe and loving his time there. How Lauren is able to handle a very large yard full of dogs is nothing short of amazing. She is the pack leader at Pawsitive Pals. And while dogs of all sizes and breeds come to spend the day playing together, Lauren makes sure they are learning their socializing manners. I have also boarded my dog at Pawsitive Pals and it is the only place where I would leave her - where can you board your dog and they come home better??? Feeling very fortunate.

I wish I could give more stars! This is the only place I will trust with my dogs. Lauren and her team have created a safe and happy place for my dogs to play when I am at work and to board when I am out of town. My girls cannot wait to get out of the car and are exhausted at the end of the day. The facility is very clean and well maintained and all dogs are under good control when on the yards. Lauren knows so much about dogs and has taught me so much about caring for and training my girls. Dog whisperer!! I’ve never seen so many happy dogs in one place. Always being loved, played with, and trained Throughout the day. Lauren is awesome. She is also great with children. I’ve left my own kids With her to help around the property. A woman of many talents.

Lauren and her team have been amazing at helping us train and socialize our dogs. Her day-time socialization sessions are something both of our dogs look forward to, and come home exhausted at the end of the day due to the interaction, and exercise they get. We adopted a dog in January and we quickly realized we did not have the ability to skills to keep him in control. We began working with Lauren at Pawsitive Pals in March in a beginners class. When COVID hit, the business shut down but Lauren was available via FB and phone for help.With Lauren’s help and patience we are now able to walk our dog through our neighborhood without being drug home. We have been able to take our dog into local stores and downtown Grass Valley. We now have the tools we need to take our dog wherever we go successfully.

Lauren has so much patience, so much compassion, and SO much knowledge!! I adopted my dog from a shelter and had no idea what I’d gotten myself into... dog Rosie was so nervous and a ball of energy I was sure she’d never get along with other dogs or even people. But with lots of time and lots of learning with other dogs and dog parents, we’re finally at a place where she can meet new dogs and know what to do, how to greet new people without losing it, and is a happy healthy dog!! The truth of it is of course that I learned a lot more than Rosie did and I’m forever grateful

Charlie went here with us for training as a pup, now he is about 8 months old and we did a daytime socialization then boarded him this weekend to get him prepared for our trip in March. He came back happy, dirty and exhausted. Even though due to weather they had to close for play time, Charlie had a doggo buddie so he would not get depressed. I recommend this facility, and the owner is the sweetest woman and wants to make sure everyone is happy even when the owners are dead exhausted getting home from a long drive. She is perky, friendly and clearly cares about her dog friends.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. My husband and I adopted a dog who definitely needed training. He was horrible walking on a leash and needed general obedience training. Lauren taught us so many valuable things that have changed not just our dog but also us. He now walks at out sides while wearing his gentle leader, knows basic commands, doesn’t jump on people and so much more. We had a wonderful experience and are truly thankful to have had an opportunity to attend the Basic Obedience classes.

My wife and I couldnt recommend PAWSitive Pals any higher. Lauren and her crew have helped train and raise our dog since he was old enough to be socialized.He is two years old now and is a certified service dog and is able to help with my wifes needs. After his training and socialization, he is extremely well behaved in public (and at home) and many of the fears and concerns we had about raising a puppy are now replaced with a great understanding of how to train a dog to be the best companion possible. These are skills that we will have forever and we have Lauren to thank.If you are considering these services, do yourselves a favor and look no further!

We are so lucky to have this facility in our community .. making good dogs great dogs, problem dogs safe dogs. Ive experienced several obedience class teachers and Lauren is absolutely the best! More remarkably, what she does to socialize dogs (and teach owners) is incredibly effective.

They do a good job, but since they have so many dogs now they clearly have favorites. If you watch the videos on FB and your dog isnt a favorite you probably wont see them in action.

Lauren is amazing! Her passion, knowledge, and work ethic shine through from day one. Two weeks in and Im already seeing changes in my dog and our relationship. Lauren uses intuitive, tried and true behavioral techniques and she takes the time to ensure you understand them so that you become a better pack leader for your dog. The combo of obedience classes and pack socialization has been a game changer. I cant wait to see what the next few weeks have in store!

I really adore Pawsitive Pals. I came originally for basic obedience for my hyper active puppy, and was amazed at his transformation.I’m addition to obedience training, I also use the daytime socialization classes, and my pup loves them.I can’t emphasize enough how great Lauren and her staff are!

My pup struggled from fear based aggression and I didnt know what else to do for her. After trusting Lauren, I realized that my pup would be able to relax around other dogs and humans and enjoy herself like she used to. Just after a few sessions Hazelnut was happier and found herself playing with 40 other dogs and was happy to meet new people. I highly recommend this place!

We recently adopted a rescue dog. He was having difficulty socializing with other dogs, and we started bringing him to PAWSitive Pals. After just a few short visits, he is already playing with the pack. We are so happy with the services provided, and have even tried the board and train services for a recent short trip. Lauren and her staff are wonderful, and we are so appreciative that our dog Oliver has shown so much progress in such a short time! A wonderful facility with caring and knowledgeable staff.

I have 2 year old German Shepherd Reinhardt that’s extremely protective of his family, it would present as aggression when walking or when we had people over to the house. We brought him to PAWS’itive Pals after working with two other trainers because the problem was growing and we couldn’t take him out on the trail anymore. PAWS’itive Pals is a truly unique facility with custom built areas for slow desensitization of anxious dogs. We’re about 3 months in with weekly socialization classes and basic obedience with Lauren, as well as some extracurricular work and we’re seeing significant improvement. Lauren identified Reinhardt’s confidence problem and how I was exacerbating it. After a couple of hard talks with Lauren both of us have the training we needed to be successful. I hosted a holiday party recently and Reinhardt was able to play with our guests instead of lashing out from anxiety!Reinhardt has never been happier, he can appropriately play with other dogs and people, which is what he always wanted. It beings me so much relief to see the behaviors blocking him from living a fulfilled life dissolve. Not only do I offer a positive review, but a heartfelt thank you to Lauren for the work she does and the impact she’s had on my life.

Lauren and her team are truly amazing. I am so happy that I was able to find her. They love our dog as he is their own. I can’t thank them enough for their love and dedication to our dog.The socialization class has helped Ragnar become comfortable with being around other dogs and allows him to get ALL the energy he has out with all of his friends. Lauren is absolutely the best! My parents new 2 year old dog Baloo was a nightmare when they adopted him. He was equivalent to a 6 month old puppy with no social skills, or life experience. This place has it all. My dog and I went through Obedience 1. I highly recommend this class to get the basic commands across to your pal. Lauren also teaches specialty training as well to correct certain unwanted behavior. Be sure and check out ALL that they have to offer. If you have a highly social and active companion, I recommend the daily socialization sessions with two time slots available per day, also full days are available. It is so fun to see all the familiar Pal Pack happy faces greet my dog (both furry and human) when I drop her off for social interaction and play. We both look so forward to it. It is so nice to feel at ease knowing your best friend is safe and having fun during your temporary separation. The Pal Pack team members are the Best! They are constantly in-check with each individual dogs behavior. They play and interact with all the dogs, so its like back in school training and maintaining appropriate behavior and house rules. Its also fun to see photos and videos of some things your companion engaged in while you were apart. We absolutely love this place!AGAIN..This is my favorite place in Nevada County! I highly recommend Lauren and her wonderful team! My dog has been coming to Pawsitive Pals Dog Training almost two years now. She has so many friends there and loves making new friends who join. When Mom says Hey Samantha - do you want to go play at Laurens? I run over her to get to the car (Im a very cute and tiny 120lb. Great Pyrenees). I have so many friends there to play with including my boyfriends Liam and Blue (and several others Im not naming yet). Actually I was there just yesterday for all day, and Im now at home lounging for the day at my moms feet cause Im so tired out from it. Dont think Ill make Mom walk me today - Ive had enough exercise to see me through the weekend!! I cant wait for my next socialization day!

Living in Folsom, you would generally be opposed to driving up to Grass Valley for dog training, however Lauren has substantially helped my parents dogs in a multitude of ways including anxiety and aggression. I decided to take my German Shepard(Charlie) for work, Lauren instantly treated Charlie as her own and within a week already had him making huge progress, half a year later i still take him up and drop him off for socialization and well just plain fun, hands down best Dog Trainer in NorCal.

My dog was on death row, county and city animal control wouldnt take her but thanks to Lauren Hayes I got my soul mate. I couldnt walk nor drive past a man with out my dog going nuts trying to bite them and with the help of Lauren not only can we walk past men, I can talk to them. My dog is even working toward being my service dog. Thank you Lauren so much for being their for my baby girl when NO one else would, she and I love you so much.

I have used a variety of doggie daycare facilities over the years - everything from Planet Pooch in Redwood City to one on one sitting in my home. And PAWSitive Pals gets my TOP rating! My little Amelie is SO happy when I pick her up. I can tell she has had tons of stimulation, exercise and love. And the affection that Lauren and Rick have for the dogs they care for is abundantly evident.

Lauren is awesome! I have two dogs one bluetick hound the other a cane corso mastiff. I havent been able to take a vacation for almost 5 years because of my mastiffs severe separation anxiety and he does not like other people besides myself and my family. Within the first visit Lauren was already integrating herself with him and had me do some at home exercises. The second visit she was able to handle him without him trying to eat her which I thought would be impossible. Two more visits and they were ready to be left for our week long vacation. Her boarding facility is like a dog apartment no cages they can go outside to their private fenced yard or stay in side in the heated or cooled huge quarters. My dogs definitely missed me and refused to eat their dry food I brought for them. Lauren bought a case of wet food for them which she wouldnt let me pay for so they didnt starve. My hound got to go into the dog park and play with the other dogs while my mastiff watched from the other side of fence (couldnt be trusted just yet around the other dogs but did great watching from other side which was unbelievable if you knew this dog).Its great knowing I have someone like her to be able to watch our four legged family when we have to leave town. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone for boarding or training in her huge dog park with a pack of other dogs in training.

Weve been going to Pawsitive Pals for over a year now and could not be happier with this place. We hate leaving our dogs behind on trips, but sometimes its necessary...and this is the only place I have enough trust and faith in to leave the dogs with. I contacted Lauren when my dog growled at my son when she was chewing on her bone and he ran by. Lauren came over and within 1 visit there was a change in our relationship with Diamond. Lauren showed us how to be the dominant humans, and Diamond how to be submissive. She worked with my son and us. It took literally a few sessions to get the control back with Diamond. She taught Ryder how to stand above Diamond and to never be below as they are close to the same height. She didnt just train Diamond, she trained us how to be authoritative humans and to put Diamond in her place. Diamond now does the stairs one by one. She walks behind us. She doesnt barge the door to go outside. She waits for us to let her outside. We learned it not the pet that needs to be trained, its the humans too!! I highly recommend Pawsitive Pals.

Our Jenny received rattlesnake avoidance training from Pawstive Pals. It paid off yesterday. Jenny normally stays close to me when I am working; yesterday (I should have noticed) she stayed back 30 feet. I moved a log and there was a rattlesnake. I removed her from the area so she would not see me collect the snake for removal. Thank you PAWSitive Pals!

A month ago I was torn about my next steps with my rescue dog. My 20 month old border collie/kelpie mix, who ive had since he was 4 months old - Oso - was bitten by another dog back in January and since developed leash aggression and began majorly resource guarding. I couldnt trust him around other dogs, and had to plan my walks with him during quiet times when we wouldnt see other dogs. Weve been to Lauren at Pawsitive Pals just FOUR times, and today he had his muzzle off, and was confident and happy with a pack of 15 or so dogs, playing ball around them. He didnt resource guard me or the balls, he let other dogs play too and say hi to me. He is a happier, more confident dog, and his quick progress has blown my mind. Lauren and her assistants are SO committed to their cause, and her methods are loving and effective. Beyond what shes done for Oso, shes taught me better management methods so I can continue his training at home, and given me more confidence in being around other dogs too. Ive seen 3 other trainers before Lauren but not one has been able to gift us what she has in such a short amount of time - we are more bonded, both more happy and confident, my dog isnt as scared anymore, and I have more freedom in my life to have fun with my dog instead of being concerned for him. I couldnt recommend Pawsitive Pals more highly - well be longtime visitors to the daytime socialization classes!

I have used Pawsitive Pals for several services: overnight boarding, daycare, and training sessions with Lauren.I have tried several local kennels for over night boarding of our German Shepherd, Merlin, and Pawsitive Pals is BY FAR the best. My dog is treated like a member of their family. During the day he runs with the pack, playing in the NID and pools, chasing balls, and at night he snuggles in their house, on their bed or his dog bed. When Im away from him, seeing the photos of him frolicking in the yard is such a joy. Scroll through the Pawsitive Pals photos and you will find Merlin tagged in a few.He also goes there for daycare. The minute we pull into the driveway, Merlin wants out of the car. He knows hes in for a day of fun and is eager to get running with the pack. One thing I like about Pawsitive Pals is how Lauren and Rick carefully integrate a new dog into the pack by giving the new dog the run of the yard then bringing out one or two dogs at a time to see how they get along. The dogs are well supervised all the time and skirmishes, when they happen, are handled. My dog comes home from daycare exhausted and usually sleeps most of the next day.Lauren has helped me and Merlin overcome some stubborn problems I was having with him. He was a crazy barker if someone was at the door. With Laurens help, he now barks, then on my command, comes and stands by me. The other problem I was having was with ball retrieval. He loves to fetch but he would not return the ball anywhere near me. After a LOT of homework and baby step stages, now he is doing better with this. I highly recommend Lauren as a trainer. Your dog learns from you so she train you how to work with your dog. She is, however, very strict about doing your homework. Do the homework she assigns you and you wont believe how fast the behavior can be changed!Thats the conclusion of the review for the services I have paid for from Pawsitive Pals. But I have more information about them. They care about your dog. Throughout the day as they play and pet and cuddle with your dog, they are scanning for problems. If they notice an injury or problem, they will discuss it with you, along with making recommendations about care and vets in the area. They often have a dog or two that has had training issues and has been surrendered to them for rehabilitation. These dogs are usually available for adoption once they have gone through intensive retraining. I drive by and drop by the business all the time. Ive always been welcome and I have seen nothing but joyful dogs happily playing.
