I have seen dozens of holistic practitioners over the last 27 years in an effort to treat a complicated list of symptoms/conditions resulting from a brain injury. If only I had met Dr. Rodney 27 years ago. He is amazing! Dr. Rodney has a huge tool chest when it comes to modalities and techniques to identify and treat you. However, he doesnt just treat symptoms like 99.8% of doctors and practitioners out there. He uses symptoms and some incredible skills to identify the root cause of your symptoms. AND he is not only able to treat issues originating in biology, physiology, nutrition, bio-mechanics, but also emotional and spiritual origins as well. I have gained more ground in my personal healing journey in a few treatments with Dr. Rodney than in years with other practitioners. He now treats our entire family, even our our daughter in another state. We all agree he is outstandingly gifted and whats amazing is he is also so humble and such a normal guy. We so appreciate Dr. Rodney and his staff. He will continue to be our primary care provider for the foreseeable future.

I have been going to Dr. Russell since a car accident eight years ago. During this time, he has treated me beyond my accident issues. We have uncovered health issues that have stemmed from childhood that have gone undetected and untreated. Hello! Yes, Im Dr. Russells wife and I wish to respond to a review posted by Tara Schomacker Rose since it did involve me. Im the one that originally took Ms.Roses call as I work part-time to address questions about Dr. Russells unique approach with new patients, especially those that are not directly referrals (those that are referrals, trust him implicitly after hearing from another patient ). As such Im offering some clarification to some very skewed and untruthful information. Im not sure if she just forgot the sequence and detail of events, or was just responding in anger and frustration because of her challenging health issue which I know can make one irritable.We never encourage anyone to come in if Dr. Russell doesnt think he can help them. Therefore, I patiently listened to her for over 30 minutes and took her information letting her know that I would get back with her after I spoke with Dr. Russell about her particular condition. Rather than turning her away, he wanted to check on a particular protocol with a manufacturer, one that has be widely helpful in pretty much annihilating strong bugs and/or complex parasite issues. I made a call to Ms. Schomacher Rose to let her know we were looking into this and it was taking some time to hear back. After three phone calls, we finally were able to put Dr. Russell in touch with the owner. Once he received his answer, I was informed and called Ms. Rose back (3rd phone call) to let her know he had a protocol he could try. There is NEVER a guarantee and quite often chronic conditions are very deep, complex and I might add, involve emotional issues at their root. Ms. Rose saw Dr. Russell (another correction, cost of appointment is $225. And we are always clear that billing is for his time so we can keep our cost well below that of other holistic practitioners, allowing those that are not as complex a more reasonable fee. We always communicate via e-mail and phone to a reasonable amount of questions and clarification on any appointment questions, as we did with her, above and beyond.) Many times, as I said before, chronic issues can take some time to figure out. Ms. Rose wasnt responding as quickly as she would have liked to the protocol and continued to send us very long and complex e-mails, asking Dr. Russell to read things shed investigated, ongoing questions, etc. Also the diarrhea is a form of die-off, so thats a good thing in most cases.After awhile, and after responding in kind to these e-mails/calls, I suggested that she needed to make a follow-up appointment, which is very standard in the industry so she and the doctor can focus and go over things (and unless you are on a package, it is billable time.)I will also add that Dr. Russell NEVER pushes supplements on people and always suggests they can look online to compare prices on products. Our prices are always kept well below retail and if they arent, we will refund the difference.Am I biased, yes. But I also know very clearly who and what Im talking about. I would only say that taking one review as a standard to evaluate someone would be a big mistake and youd be missing out on a highly qualified, sincerely caring, dedicated and gifted doctor (who also prefers you just call him Rodney) who goes the extra mile to try to figure out the particular recipe that will help his patients. We are all unique individuals, and if any doctor says they have the one magic bullet for a chronic condition, theyre likely not being honest. Our bodies are complex and involve many systems when it comes to healing the root cause of an issue. Its definitely not like simply suppressing a symptom with a drug.One more thing to clarify, not one of his reviews is fake as Ms. Shoemacher Rose stated. I know Google, as other sites do, goes to great lengths to prevent that. Furthermore, we operate with integrity, and wouldnt do that.I do hope Ms.Rose finds what shes looking for. I know Dr. Russell was one in a long line of doctors that she visited.

Dr. Russell might be a great chiropractor, but dont believe the reviews, particularly the one from his wife that says hes so much more than that. Now that Ive met him, Im fairly sure all the reviews are fake, but Im chalking it up to a learning experience. I was looking for a wholistic practitioner who could help me with a very specific condition that I have (candida glabrata). I called and asked if he had treated it before (I was told yes, though I now know that was untrue). I was also told an evaluation was $250 (which gladly paid), but when I was sold another $100+ of special supplements a red flag went up. Any practitioner that says you must buy their special brand of supplements to get better is pretty much a snake oil salesman, and though I know that, I was desperate and I started taking them. After a few days of diarrhea, I started to worry. I looked up the products he sold me. There was no actual proof anywhere of people using these products and the products actually working (look up the various Living Streams products, and the wholesale distributer information if you want to know how much he makes on these). I consulted with my GP, and he advised stopping these questionable products immediately. I was already taking a medical grade probiotic, and adding these experimental products was dangerous. When I wrote to Dr. Russell to explain this, he told me the owner of the LivingStreams products said they would work (like that should make me feel better) any then his wife said if I wanted any future correspondence I needed to pay more money (even though I was originally told phone and email correspondence was included in the fee I paid). Needless to say, I stopped taking the products. I debated writing a review for a month before doing so - not wanting to post a negative review of a local practitioner - but I want to be honest with others in the area who may be desperate to find a wholistic practitioner. Dr. Russell is probably a good chiropractor, but I have no faith in his ability as a wholistic doctor - atleast not for the condition I have. If you have questions, ask questions. If a doctor of any type doesnt want to answer them, move on to someone else. You have to be your own advocate. Good luck!
