We visited for a “spa day” recommended by a friend. :) We started with an infrared sauna appointment and enjoyed it immensely. We felt so refreshed and relaxed and got a great detoxing sweat! Then we took home a kombucha, beauty facial steam, and magnesium salts for a foot soak! By the end of the afternoon we felt so refreshed we might as well have been to a spa that charged $100’s. Highly recommend the top-rated sauna and to-go/at-home spa experience!!! The staff are knowledgeable and super friendly as well.

Made our first visit today and was almost overwhelmed by the selection, variety, and specialty this store in Grandview offers. I was able to read and explore on my own but the staff was there to answer any questions. On that note, The staff was welcoming, warm, and highly informed (they really know what they’re talking about). I got the feeling that they care about their customers and for one another as well. Just a nice loving vibe... I’m glad we found them and am looking forward to our next visit.

What an amazing place. Its not just a store, its really a center for healing. Their employees are very knowledgeable and can help with a wide range of questions. They have a huge selection of herbs as well as a lot of other great supplements and natural products. They usually have kombucha on tap with free samples, which is delicious and refreshing.

I didnt get to explore much while I was there as I was only looking for one item, but I loved what I saw. The environment was clean and organized. The staff was informative and helped me to find exactly what I needed.

Found Spirit of Health through some online videos. The videos and website are incredibly informative and have inspired me to take better care of my body. Since I live in the area, I stopped by the store. I was surprised that the prices for the stuff I needed was better than what I found online, there was a great selection and most of the staff was super nice. So, why 3 stars? The manager of the store treated me poorly not once, but twice. First visit, he looked me up from head to toe and back up again and judgement was all over his face. He was irritated and short with my questions about a supplement. I left feeling embarrassed and ashamed for going in. The whole reason I went to Spirit of Health was to try and get HEALTHY! I know Im overweight, if I didnt need help I wouldnt be there! Fast forward a few weeks, went back to the store, and low and behold, the manager was rude again. So, I guess if you can avoid the manager and work with other employees you will have a great experience. I will stick to watching the videos and order online from now on.

I love this store and I have been buying my supplement and herb from there. I run out of probiotics, the ones I get from there every month. It is hard for me to make it on time there due to my work hours, I left work earlier today to get there before 6 to buy some more. I got there at 6.02 PM, there was a lady outside watering the flowers, she said they were already close. I explained that I try to make it but traffic is really bad. She just gave me a look and say we are close, I am sorry. I will suggest expand the hours that way people that work can make it to buy your products. I am very disappointed since I have been a loyal customer. I was only 2 minutes late by the way.

Im a big fan of natural medicine, and had visited Spirit of Health many times in late 2017/early 2018. Its taken a while to post this story, but it has been on my mind for far too long, and I cant in good conscience continue to keep it private.About two years ago, Id been searching for a naturopathic doctor that I could trust with health decisions during a very difficult period of my life. This shop was nearby, so Id been in a few times. The staff were always great and fairly knowledgeable, so I was planning to do a 1-on-1 with Vaughn at some point.Unfortunately, I overheard a phone call and related conversation during closing hours that was quite troubling to me. I was crouched near a bookshelf to give my feet a break while reading an excerpt of a book at the time the call came in, so its likely no one even knew I was still there. I u2028u2028quickly gathered that a nurse from some local ER was phoning at the behest of a man under their care who had followed video courses of Vaughns (a saltwater cleanse, as I later found), and experienced heart failure shortly after.Importantly, the man was *refusing further treatment* from the ER doctors until he could seek Vaughns direction.Vaughns assistant put the nurse on hold and told Vaughn just as he was about to leave the building. She explained the situation, and Vaughn became clearly annoyed, simply stating saltwater cleanses dont cause heart failure as he started out the door again. Then, he paused once more to tell the employee to say we cant be held responsible for someones choices. And with that, just walked right out with no further comment on the situation.What troubles me about this is multi-faceted. The employee on the phone clearly described how serious the situation was, but Vaughns immediate train of thought was to distance himself and make a legal statement.Now heres something that really got me: I have zero formal medical training, but I remembered just a few moments later that saltwater cleanses absolutely CAN cause heart failure. There are multiple case studies demonstrating the causative relationship and its something any naturopath should know and include in their instructions. This is an incredibly important piece of information that could have gone a long way to saving this persons life/health. I dont expect everyone to know everything, but I do expect anyone calling themselves a healer and selling related products/services to have a solid grasp on when certain treatments can harm rather than heal.The final thing that sat with me was that Vaughn couldve taken one moment to say LET THE DOCTORS TREAT YOU! and show the smallest bit of compassion. Not only would that have covered his rear legally, but I cant imagine anything less compassionate than Vaughns reaction.As I said, Im really a big proponent of natural health remedies and caring for the body through diet/exercise/meditation. What I cannot stand for is the lack of rigor that pollutes the industry and makes entrusting oneself to an alternative medicine practitioner such a paralyzingly scary decision.Because, at the end of the day, Vaughn is right: no matter what he says or tells you to do or how many videos of his you watch, he will never be responsible if something goes terribly wrong. And that is a recipe for disaster in any field, but particularly in the field of healthcare. If you improve, he reaps all the benefits and is probably seen as a vessel of Gods healing. But if you get worse or end up in the ER with your heart failing, then apparently that will be met with a few seconds of contemplating the legal responsbility before going back to whatever he was doing.Since I came to these reviews initially looking for someone truly aligned with my best interests, I felt an obligation to come back and add my own voice for others sake, even though it really does not feel good to be the bearer of this kind of news. I truly hope I overlooked something here, but what I witnessed felt far too much like a brief glimpse behind the facade to ignore it any longer.

It’s a really nice store and they have ALOT of supplements and natural oils. However on two different occasions while in the store I felt hovered over. I went in with my daughter and asked about potentially selling my natural products through their establishment. “Summer” was very short and rude, she went on the opposite side of the aisle i was on pretending to work but secretly i believe she was trying to make sure i wasn’t stealing anything. I left without buying anything and i definitely won’t be returning. As a new establishment you should be friendlier to Grandview residents 🙃
