This was surprisingly the worst retail experience I have encountered in Grand Rapids, Mi. I put a order in for a item on 28th Street at the Centerpoint Mall area the night before which they said was readily available. States store opens at 9:30. I am actually here at 9:50 a.m. on 8/30/21 today. Me and 2 other customers are here waiting for the store to open. I know I am not the first person because someone left a not on the door handles stating there displeasure. I have to conclude this since it is 10:10 a.m. Another customer is pulling in now! This needs to be known far and wide of the inadequate shown by the Vitamin Shoppe. This is very unfair. Please spread the word to see if this is addressed. Thank you my professional review.

Great place with a huge selection of products. The rewards program is easy and great. Some items can be pricey but the quality is good. I only had one problem once with energy drinks tasting bad but they replaced them no issues.

Came in for a product that I’ve had trouble finding and this location had plenty. At checkout Blaine was very informative and helpful, also seems to care a lot about his job which is hard to find these days. I travel the whole country for work and have visited 75-100 vitamin shoppes over the last decade+, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Keep it up!

Blaine was a great burst of energy and positivity when I came to the store! The store is always clean and organized well, and the way the merchandising is done seems to be well thought out and organized. Prices on supplements and workout specific products could definitely use a restructure in my opinion , but otherwise the pricing seems to be on par with the competition in the area.

Staff is VERY educated, my pre workout wasn’t really doing the trick unfortunately. But the STAFF IS EVERYTHING!!! 100% Recommend this place, chill environment, friendly and educated staff, talked, listened, amazing. Thank you guys so much!

Blaine at the 28th street Vitamin shoppe is one of the best customer service employee I have ever experienced. Always very high energy, has a great personality, has a great ability to help 10 people at once while giving you the feeling youre the only customer in the store, and knows how to value others time by getting you processed fast despite a busy store. He does a great job suggesting things based on what you purchase in the past that he thinks youll like and hes been right every time. He single handedly keeps me coming back. If Vitamin Shoppe values their employees (I assume they do) they will be sure to do everything they can to keep him. Customers dont shop at stores for the product, they can get pretty much the same product anywhere, they shop for the way the employee relates to them. Blaine is a true ambassador for your company, and customer service employees like that are hard to find these days. Keep him happy to keep your customers happy.

Very helpful staff. Well tuaght about the supplimeants they sell. Welcoming comfurtable feeling apon entry. Organized and clean. Easy to get to building with a decent parking lot. Later supply of stock and variations of things you may be looking for. For sure recomend stoping here for quick fixes, detox, supplies of good herba and natural medicines.

I bought some essential oils for a sick pet and after doing more research decided they were not what I needed. I was able to return them with no hassle. I have frequented the 28th street location multiple times and have found the staff to be friendly, professional and helpful. I pass many other health stores on my way but always chose the Vitamin Shoppe. Very knowledgeable staff.

A good selection of items but the assistant manager Jeff has a terrible attitude. He gets upset when people make returns. Which is crazy when people are easily speeding 400 in one visit. My boyfriend and I spend so much at that store that it should never be a issue if we did a return. My first and only return he gave me so much attitude that it turned me off from the store. He is not friendly nor all that much helpful. If there was another store I would definitely visit that one instead of this store. This place needs to work on their customer service and hire more knowledgeable people because when I go in there and ask questions nobody knows anything. When you go to GNC they know everything I swear...

Good place to go to search for all kind of vitamins and supplements you need

I have been going to Vitamin Shoppe for my supplement needs for over a year now and have always had a good experience until yesterday, June 8. My girlfriend, her 3 year old daughter and myself came in the store to shop for pre-workouts. Not sure if this lady was the manager or manager on duty, but she asked us for help once and we declined because we were just browsing for the time being. Over the course of the 15-20 minutes in the store, she kept following us and glaring because my girlfriends 3 year old was giggling and being goofy like a 3 year old should be. When we went to checkout, a guy behind the counter was ringing my girlfriend out so I proceeded to the other register where the manager was operating and was clearly open because she had helped a couple customers before that. I put my stuff on the counter and she turned her back and walked away with no acknowledgement. So I went back and waited in line. Meanwhile, my girlfriends daughter was putting her hands on the glass door without me knowing until I turned around. The manager then put a window cleaner spray bottle on the counter to prove some point. This happened again and the manager should VISIBLE frustration by exhaling loudly and putting her hands to her palm to her forehead to show the frustration. Long story short, I WILL NOT be coming back here. I work customer service as well and this was the definition of POOR customer service.

The Vitamin Shoppe has nearly everything you need to meet your health needs. From protein, to prenatal vitamins, Ive always been able to find exactly what Im looking for. The staff is also extremely helpful.

John & David treated me and my girlfriend like an inconvenience from the second we walked in. I greeted them when I walked in and asked how they were doing, they responded with an unenthusiastic “what can I help you with”. They refused to offer a price match for a Vitmain shoppe online order after giving us the run around. I hate to say it, but we’ll be ordering our supplements from GNC going forward.
