I am 110% satisfied with the care, compassion, professionalism and efficiency provided to my daughter for her dermatological needs. Her appointment was on a Friday, improvement was evident on Sunday. Dr. Strikwerda and Dr. Patel are great. The staff were great as well, cordial, professionalism and presented great attitudes.

I went to see Dr. Sara Herman back in April because I was experiencing breakouts I never had before. I’ve always had clear skin until recently. I did a lot of my own research and went in prepared to have a discussion about prevention and treatment with Dr. Herman. During our 10 minute visit, all she did was nod her head as I told her when the breakouts began and what information I found about treating acne, she ended up suggesting birth control which I was against because I no longer want hormones in my body. She then suggested Retin-A and said if the out-of-pocket costs were too much, to call her back and we would discuss another alternative. As I was leaving the office, I made a follow-up appt with reception. A couple hours later, I went to pick up my Rx and it was $153 which was too much and I also refused the Rx because I read a lot about it and a lot times it made the skin worse and more sensitive and there was no guarantee that it would clear my skin. I called Dr. Herman as instructed and I didn’t receive an answer so I left a voicemail with her to return my call at her earliest convenience.I guess it’s inconvenient for her to follow up with her patients about treatment ever, because I haven’t heard back from her but I have since received two past due bills totaling almost $80. It isn’t that I can’t pay them but I don’t plan to because she didn’t help me with anything. I’ve never been ignored by a doctor that way. I even cancelled my follow-up appt because nothing was accomplished the first time I visited her office.
