I was referred by the endocrinologist to him just so that I could ask him if it was safe to take a medicine. I waited a whole month for the appointment and he didn’t even bother to look at the medical file.

Dr Chen is very knowledgeable and puts the needs of his patients first. I avoided the bigger “mills” in town in favor of Dr Chen and his office’s more personal 1:1 care and was not disappointed. I always feel like my questions are answered and I’m never rushed through my appointments. Highly recommended!

It wasnt actually myself that was the patient, it was my husband. We got there early and there waiting room is quite small so it was standing room only. I thought oh boy, but the wait went amazingly fast and in no time Michael was called back for his appointment. The Dr.was very attentive to his patients and the office staff was professional yet friendly. There was absolutely no rudeness at this office, more should be like this. Recently during one of my visits I overheard the way that the doctor spoke to his staff, so unprofessional and just plain rude. It makes sense why his staff is always changing. Won’t be returning here, I can’t support places that treat staff like this. Horrible.

Horrible experience. Multiple attempts to retrieve any information on my results online as well as called in to office. none provided, no reply in emails the doctor was never available. I called the doctor who refereed me and she was provided sensitive information & she was assured I was informed as well. I do not recommend this practice at all. I was told everything was ok but the results provided to my doctor stated otherwise.Unprofessional.Unethical to keep someone in the dark with something as important as your vision. Its been 6 months and I have yet to get any information on my visit from this office. 0 stars

Dr.Chen was great, receptionist was a pleasant person but, very late in opening the office. Otherwise an awesome place for your diabetic eye exams.

Dr. Chen did cataract surgery on both of my eyes last year. This could not have gone any better. From my initial consultation to my last follow up visit, everything went like clockwork. The procedure itself was so easy that my friend who drove me to the surgicenter and I went out for lunch on the way home both times! I now have the best vision of my entire life. I have recommended Dr. Chen to my family and friends, and anyone who mentions cataracts to me. I will definitely go to Dr. Chen for any future eye problems.

Dr Chen is professional and very exact in his method. Explains good and bad of treatment as well as risks and other complications you should consider. Not pushy toward unneeded procedures. Lays it all on the table and lets patient decide.

The Goodyear Eye Specialist did a great job explaining my problem with cataracs and my pending surgery. Dr. Chen answered all of my questions and the staff provided me with all of the neccessary info we needed.I feel better and look forward to my surgery!!

It was kind of a short time in the planning since i never realized that i had a cataract , but when i did, i visited Dr. Chen on a tuesday morning and then again in the afternoon and my surgery was scheduled for a week later.Everything was top notch and i dont even need my readers anymore.

Came in for diabetes check from my pcp. Was harassed regarding my a1c and then told to sit outside. Horrible treatment! I beg you now to come to this doctor. Do your research-read vital and yahoo reviews. Also ask your pcp to refer you someplace else.

Stay away from this doctor and practice. A brief google of Dr. Howard K. Chen via Google reviews, healthgrades and vitals will make things clear. This doctor has repeatedly treated his employees poorly including verbal abuse. There are open complaints with The Department of Labor, OSHA, and other agencies regarding his treatment of employees. As far as patient go my mother in law was a patient of Dr. Chens and she left each and every visit feeling confused as the doctor never carefully explained things to her and he NEVER answered her questions but rather directed her to a paper print of that talked about her condition. If you have any self worth stay far away from Howard Chen!!!

Seems to be very profesional. Min8mal wait time and you are not pawned off on staff. Catarac surgery scheduled for Wednesday.

I have kerataconus, which is not easy to treat. Dr. Chen is amazing and I am fortunate to have him as my ophthalmologist.
