Dr. Burke is awesome. He is extremely thorough and explains everything in easy to understand terms. A very very kind man. His staff is great as well. Courteous and knowledgeable, they know their stuff! I highly recommend Hollister Optometric!

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had at the eye doctor. The Staff was wonderful, helpful, and fun to talk to. Barb was very sweet and helpful. I was able to make my appointment quickly, there was almost no wait at all, and the customer service was fantastic.

Bought new glasses for my new prescription, they were very helpful and informative on the choices I had. Comfortable prices and a very good selection. Very pleasant atmosphere.

The office staff was genuinely warm and friendly. I was very impressed with their attentiveness and effort to make my visit a personal experience. Dr. Burke was very personable and friendly. At no point did he ever make me feel uncomfortable; in fact, he was a rather kind and interesting man who seemed to love his job and be eager to help his patients. I would highly recommend this optometrist office to anyone.

I went to Hollister Optimetric to fill a contact lense prescription which they were able to do quicker than Costco. The staff was helpful and knew their business. They offered a sample pair of lenses to last me until the order came in. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed with my appointment. The staff and dr are all polite but my disappointment arises from dr Burke not wanting to give me my prescription for new reading glasses because I did not want to go through with the invasive and extended portion of the eye exam. I am light sensitive and suffer from migraines and am also not comfortable with numbing my eye and then having it be touched! I feel like they were only concerned with trying to get every $ allotted from my insurance and so pushed for the additional invasive portion of the exam. Not very customer service oriented. I also mentioned to Barb when I made my appointment that I would not do those types of tests on my eyes. A total waste of time today. And I hope they don’t bill my insurance for an appointment when I didn’t even get a prescription for my glasses and now have to go to another office.

Great service, exceptional and caring Dr. and staff. I’m very glad I went there. Will always go there even if I move someday.

I can not thank Dr. Burke enough! In a very real sense, he has given me my life back.Long story short: Due to Keratoconus, poor choices and failed surgery in 2004, I had been living with extremely poor quality vision for 10 years...so bad in fact that I was not functioning well, challenged in my career and barely able to drive safely. I had tried so many things with so many doctors with so little success that I began to lose all hope of ever seeing properly again, of ever getting back a quality of life that comes with a decent vision. It especially affected me in social situations where I could not make out peoples identities or their facial expressions. I found myself becoming less and less engaged socially in conversations and events. My confidence was badly eroded. I had started to hide my condition as I feared people would reject me. This from a guy that always been considered to be the life of the party!My skepticism, low expectations and downtrodden resignation in no way discouraged Dr. Burke. He had a vision of what technology would work for me, suggested a special lens; and when we had initial difficulties, he patiently asked the right questions and listened closely. Then he thought through everything logically and cleverly resolved the problems so that in the end, my visual acuity was almost as good as 10 years prior before the surgeries.Yes...maudlin drama I get it... but thanks to Dr. Burke, I suddenly, sincerely have hope in life again. Not only did his patient diligence help me, but I noticed that he challenged himself in a new area which promises to help other patients that will follow. The end result is effective adequate vision in a contact lens that is the most comfortable Ive ever worn. I get to live my life again.I am admittedly a challenging patient so its a sure thing that if not for Dr. Burkes gentle persistence and contagious optimism, my outlook on life would be so much lower.On a side note, the Hollister Optometric Center staff have all been super supportive and professional.
