Dr. Amy Shearer is the best. I have 4 children. My last child was the only one that went to Canyon Point Orthodontics. I wish I had known about Dr. Amy. She was hands down so much better than my experience with the other orthodontist.

Wisdom tooth removal was a 5 star. I was a high risk case and walked away with zero issues and healed great! Dr.Madlock is a great surgeon.As for the Invisalign consultation…… I was very excited going into the appointment but during the consultation Dr. Shearer first talked about my individual “bad” teeth which had nothing to do about the straightening of my teeth. The appointment was interrupted twice by another worker. The most disturbing part of the whole thing was when the “dr.” Walked out to look at x-rays for another patient and left me there for 10 mins, came back to finish my exam which only took 5 mins to finish. I had real high hopes going into this because I want my teeth fixed but definitely did not feel like a priority. The whole process was not explained well. Rubber bands, how they would work or be applied, different trays and how long each would last. Just poor. I did not feel good leaving her office. And the assistant seemed like I would have problems paying for the services. I could have payed in full right then and there.

My 8-year-old daughter needed a cross bite corrected, so we came to Dr. Shearer for evaluation and treatment. Her team is AMAZING. We were educated on our options and chose Invisalign. The treatment could not have been smoother. It provided full correction within a few months. The office was accommodating, friendly, and supportive throughout the process. 5 bright and shiny stars for Invisalign, Dr. Shearer, and her wonderful team!

Going into our first consultation we were very nervous. We have since found the staff at Canyon Point Orthodontics to be both patient and compassionate. My child is usually very shy and anxious in these types of situations, and now they actually look forward to appointments! This is probably because the staff takes the time to provide thorough explanations, and they just seem to genuinely care. As a parent, I feel that they identified exactly what was needed and developed a treatment plan that worked for us. I highly recommend!

I went in to get a new retainer for my bottom teeth since mine broke, and I was treated extremely well here!! When I walked into my appointment, Yvonne was so kind and helpful, and they even had a Welcome Celeste sign up in the room (which has an amazing view of both North and South table I might add!). Being the daughter of a dentist, I had never been to another dental or orthodontic practice besides in my hometown (couldnt make the trip back home just to get a new retainer this time), so this was such an enjoyable experience to see this well-kept, organized, and streamline practice here in Golden! Dr. Shearer was so down to earth and very friendly, and I will definitely go back when/if I need dental/orthodontic assistance here in Golden!!

The staff was exceptionally friendly! This is very important in a place that makes holes in your mouth. They were prompt, dialed, and professional, and it made the whole wisdom teeth situation smoother.

I have used both doctors here and they are wonderful! Dr. Shearer is very sweet as well as her technicians. I have not talked with an orthodontist before with so much knowledge and am happy with my braces. I also had my wisdom teeth removed Friday and I was back to work Monday! I healed so quickly. What a wonderful group! Dr. Shearer and her team are friendly, professional, and warm. They are VERY good at what they do. I always have a good experience when I visit. Starting 6 years ago, I went in for a consultation on my jaw. My family has a history of bad jaw alignment - mine lined directly on top of one another, leaving my back teeth without contact and my front bottom teeth growing backwards into my mouth so I could bite down. Dr. Shearer helped me get through the pain and embarrassment of wearing braces in my later college years. She paid great attention to detail and always made me feel she was on my team. She took great care of me with my braces and her husband did a great job with the jaw surgery. 5 years later and my teeth are still perfectly straight and shes still there for me whenever I need her (or a new set of retainers)! Highly, highly recommend.

The best example of a truly good orthodontist office with friendly and professional staff! As an international student who decided to get her braces installed in her own country, I freaked out when the wire had come out of the back brace while I was here in the U.S. Laura was extremely compassionate and offered me to stop by Canyon Point Orthodontics on the same day when I called asking for help! In fact, she offered me to stop by the office in 40 minutes after I called, while other places in the area were offering me an appointment no earlier than two weeks from the time I called, or even more than that once they heard that I am an international student without dental insurance. It took Canyon Point Orthodontics less than a minute to put the wire back, and even more - they refused to charge me for it! I was blown away by their kindness, efficiency, and professionalism. Highly recommend this place since it seems like they really care about their patients and try to provide them with the best service possible.

Awesome practice. As a hockey player and a kid with naturally crooked teeth, Ive spent a lot of time with orthodontists so I have some experience to measure against. I found Canyon Point from their reviews and after interviewing three separate practices. Dr. Shearer and her team have great bed-side manner and are great at problem-solving for complex problems like my own. There are a lot of great orthodontists in the area but this one is my favorite.

Dr. Shearer is an amazing orthodontist! Her staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable on all of my questions. As a young adult, it is never fun to have to go back through the braces process, but Dr. Shearer worked with me to make it as painless as possible. She went above all my expectations and got me clear brackets so my braces were not noticeable! I could not imagine going anywhere else. Do not look any further! Go to Canyon Point Orthodontics and get that smile looking good! :-)

I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed at 28 because one was impacted and causing me a ton of pain. Canyon Point managed to fit me in the next day for a screening and surgery! That was yesterday... I barely feel any pain and have little to no swelling. The person who referred me had the same experience, they said they were back to their normal life in a couple of days. Dr. Madlock was my surgeon and hes a really great relate able guy who, judging by the results, must be an extremely talented surgeon. I wouldnt think twice about going to Canyon Point if you need any work done!

Great staff and overall great experience with getting orthodontic treatment and oral surgery consultation.

I was treated really poorly. I was admitted to the hospital on the 8th of this month for a really bad infection. I had surgery done by Paul Madlock and had drain tubes put in along with 4 teeth removed. I was instructed to make an appointment Monday to remove the tubs from my face.After calling and telling them I had no insurance they started to treat me like a second rate citizen. They took me back and with no numing anything proceeded to rip the tubs out of my face. It was really painful and I was told to suck it up and Id be fine.After removing the tubes I was told to go make another appointment. I was not told how to care for the open hole in my face nor what this white stuff was coming out of the hole. I was just rushed out of the building. After trying to call to make my appointment I was hung up on twice and then completely ignored they wont even answer the phone to make an appointment.This was the worst Ive ever been treated by any medical provider. I am a person just like anyone else and deserve to be treated fair and kind just like anyone else who walks in the door. Extremely poor treatment all around.
