Doctors and Staff are extremely professional and up to date with latest treatments. They located and successfully treated the cause of my pain. I had undergone several surgeries with 3 other doctors without relief. The staff here gave me more relief from pain than anyone.

This is the place to come for pain. Dr Drennon is the best doctor. He even has a sense of humor. I could go on for days about this clinic. The front desk staff and back office staff are just as great as the doctor.

Receptionist are beyond rude. And the doc that I dealt with didnt know anything. I was told my bulging discs would heal in 2 years. Yea right Ive had this issue for 10 plus years and it just keeps getting worse. They also wont do anything to help with medications to ease the pain temporarily. Had one injection and never heard from them again. Do not go here!!!!!! And I was a patient I just used a different name and I give out quite a few great reviews. And I can tell you right now the dr told me they would heal in 2 years. But say whatever you need to. Oh its also a hippa violation putting on here that Im a patient or not 👍 my lawyer will be in contact

Dr. Mehlberg preformed a procedure that caused me to loose my left hip through Avascular Necrosis. He was an attentive doctor but ended up providing inaccurate reports on what happened through a simple ablation procedure. Once he knew my leg was so swollen he avoided me and then dropped me as a patient when I was going to come in to see him. I had two perfectly good hips on x-ray December 2019 and until the pressure from the swelling cut off circulation to my hip causing a stroke. Beware as he will try and CYA and not take responsibility.

Dr. Eric Melburg is amazing, very friendly and great bed side manner. He really knows what he is doing and if it wasnt for the staff and medical assistants fighting my insurance company to get the help I needed, I would probably still be at the mercy of my insurance company. They really do try to take care of their patients and it really shows how much they care about their patients with everything they have done to help me along the way.

I came to Comprehensive Pain Specialists to get help in treating my migraine headaches. Dr.Drennan and the staff here are phenomenal! Dr Drennan was able to find a medication regime that works for me, along with cervical injections that target pain areas that the medication doesn’t seem to work as well for. I highly recommend Dr. Drennan and his staff, for pain issues of ANY kind. Dr Drennan is through, but also cautions, and truly cares about his patients.

Dr. Wendahl, the MA’s, front office staff, and Clinical Supervisor have all been very compassionate, proactive, and approach patient care w/ professional bedside manner to truly seek understanding. They helped me get setup w/ chronic pain management options immediately prior to my surgery. They represent what it means to be patient and kind through these trying times. I’m very happy with my experience so far. I feel confident I’ll transition back to a new norm w/ a full recovery, thanks to this team.

I have been a patient of CPS for over a year now. I can’t say enough great things about the staff. They are pleasant, helpful and they make you feel important and cared for. From the front desk staff to the NA, NP, and the Doctors, they have always treated me very well. They are very helpful and accommodating. I ask lots of questions and if I don’t understand something they take the time to explain it. They give me treatment options along with education on what’s going on with my body so I can make the most informed decisions about my health care. I get a lot of injections and they have helped tremendously. I’m forever grateful for the pain relief and ability to start moving without hurting all the time. I’m starting to get back to living an active life again and I owe it to CPS.I highly recommend CPS for their attentiveness and compassionate care they give to their patients. They want you to feel better and work hard to help you achieve that.

I switched over from a different provider and wow all I can say is nothing but problems!! Dont know where to start! 7 min late after calling and they wouldnt see me but billed my insurance $400 anyway. The telehealth appt the next day was a nightmare and there was a huge failure to communicate despite me leaving several messages with Staff. They gave me a prescription to fill 2 days after it was due. I have made 4 phone calls and the provider will not call pharmacy or fix things. Looks like I will be back in the hospital again for Thanksgiving!! Thank You again CHP! Hope you guys all enjoy your vacation with family while I suffer some more!I would have thought that having seizures and being hospitalized due to a med they were unable to supply would have been a good enough reason to talk to a Dr. in person.Good luck!! Im finding a new Dr!!!!

Doctors are very professional and agressive with treatment. They dont mess around with a bunch of stuff that wont work. They want you to feel better and they arent going to try a million things that wont work just to rule them out. Office staff is amazing as well with exception of staff who does auths and procedure scheduling. Kind of have to keep on her to get things done because shes not the best at getting things done quickly or reaching out to you when the auth has been received. Overall Ive been really happy with this group and have had full relief from my back pain.

I, Cassaundra Roybal went in & they did a ABSOLULY WONDERFUL JOB! I felt that they like they were listening to my requests (no matter how odd: Keep me warm, they used a MANUAL BLOOD PRESSURE CUFF while I was awake; then when they put me under then they used an automatic one. They let me wear the ID bracelets loose. Also let my Mom stay with me cuz my mom knows pressure points on me cuz my nerves are REALLY MESSED UP. & when I wake they let my mom be in the room before I wake so when I my body reacts bad, I have someone around who can help calm me down immediately because my body & mind dont work as when I first wake) But they kept their word. I felt like Im listened to, & my concerns are real & attended to. They made it so I felt like I could succeed better with help. Then after I woke, they let me have a few drink containers & didnt get mad at my request. They didnt make me feel like whats wrong with me was validated with every conversation, but that there is legitimately something wrong.

After a very successful first visit, went back for follow-up a few weeks later. Dr Mehlbergs PA spent quality time with me and we have a plan of care all mapped out. I couldnt be happier after having years of disappointment seeing, specialist after specialist, with the same result, no plan of care. Its truly amazing when you finally get support from a caring medical staff who truly listens and has your best interest at heart.

I really like the new location in Lafayette. Its very nice and closer to my home then their other locations. All of the people there are so nice and really seem to care about their patients. They are incredibly patient and caring.

I went to several pain clinics and had bad experiences with office staff at each one. Comprehensive Pain Specialist had the most professional staff.Dr. Drennan has been seeing me and he’s probably the best Dr I’ve been to as well. An added bonus here I was not expecting. Just had lower back injections and he made the experience very relaxing and virtually pain free.If you want real treatment for your back pain this is the place. I highly recommend Dr. Drennan.

Dr Drennan & staff are friendly & knowledgeable. Ive paid $300.00 per shot along my spine for years at other places, with no relief. The Steroid shots, RFAS & other procedures offer help when I thought there was no hope.

Great place to get rid of pain

Not impressed. I received an unexpected bill for a neck brace they gave me and when I called to discuss the situation with the office manager she had no sympathy for the situation. I was told numerous times that the neck brace was authorized and when I asked how much, they said they are usually covered by insurance and that theyve never sent anyone to collections over a neck brace. They then had me sign a disclosure where I agreed to pay for the device, but the amount for the device was blank. When I mentioned I wasnt sure if I wanted to come back to their practice, she said she would go ahead and mark me as inactive! The app they use to store your medical history has already been deactivated so now I cant even access MY records. Wow! All she had to do was show some sympathy for the situation and apologize for not informing me better on the possible cost, but she didnt care and she obviously doesnt care if they loose a patient (who is in great need of pain relief). Im in shock at how quick she was to brush me off. Instead of telling my friends, family and coworkers how great this place, I will now be telling them how they deceived me and were eager to drop me.

Professional, kind, always communicate available options. They take the whole patient into consideration, not just the parts that hurt! Dr. Mhelberg is awesome!

They really need to get their stuff figured out. It seemed like it would be a good place to help take care of my pain. He did multiple procedures in a short amount of time at my request. However they were not explained well before done. They didnt realize I was not getting the correct amount of atheistic and/or it wasnt working well on me.They do NOT read their intake paperwork. The office manager argued with me, did not know what she was talking about in regards to what medications were. Perry much called me a liar and then after proving her wrong never apologized. She had no idea of the logistics of what was going on and pretty much seemed to be reading from a script that she had no actual knowledge of the situation. And was pretty much dumb as a door-nail!Arguing with a patient and refusing to listen to the situation is a HORRIBLE thing for ANY medical professional!I would NEVER recommend this practice to anyone! If they want to be doctors, then they should know basic information on medications, they should listen to their patients, and they should probably have some idea of what a doctor and his office staff should know!

Dr Mehlberg is the greatest! He takes the time to get to know you and know your probs, etc. He’s like a good friend! His entire staff are always great also!

Finally a pain specialist who listens to the patient, then provides options as to how to proceed in dealing with your pain. This office is more than willing to find ways which will help you the patient deal with the pain in your life rather than providing a cookie cutter response to pain management. It is about finding a way or ways to help you get back to living your life not just handing you a bottle of meds, or sending you to a surgeon. If a bottle of meds is appropriate then that is an option that the doctor will talk to you about, likewise surgery and other surgical options.

Treated really rudely and let go for missing follow up to a injection. Was under anesthesia so i didn’t remember the visit much at all, got a letter telling me cya you missed two appointments. No follow up call to injections, no reminder call for appointment. Just er me go now claiming my records are not correct... would not recommend under any circumstances!

What a joke. If youre in pain, dont expect to get relief any time soon and probably not at all.

I prefer this location because I live in Louisville and it is much closer than the Golden location.

I have been dealing with Chronic pain issues for over eight years and I must say Dr. Drennan and Dr. Melberg are the best doctors Ive ever seen for Pain Management. For people who deal with chronic pain I cant put enough stars to recommend this office. Absolutely amazing! After now having to return to Florida and their awful Pain Management doctors I have even more appreciation for Dr. Drennan. If I could have afforded to continue to live in Colorado on my own I would have stayed there just to continue my care with him. I have never received the wonderful care I received there and fear I will never again find anyone as kind, caring, and compassionate as the entire team! I truly miss your vast knowledge and willingness to really listen to your patients and create a plan specific to their personal needs. Trust me if your wise enough to work with them it will be the best experience you will ever have.

Dr. Mehlberg is an amazing doctor who takes the time to get to know you and your family. I also take my daughter who is 13 to see Dr. Delzanaro. She is an outstanding therapist!! If it wasnt for the HORRIBLE billing director DELORISE this place would be great. Delorise lied to the office manager about our call together. When I asked her if I could speak with the office manager she said she was the office manager. I will be reporting her and Comprehensive pain specialist. I told Denise that what she did was illegal and once I said that she said I would no longer be a patient there and hung up on me. I guess she was scared and knew what she did was wrong and illegal!!

The Doctors (Mehlburg) actually listen to the patient! And Dr Mehlburg is the most spot on physician regarding the exact location of the nerve(s) in question and the appropriate treatment thereof. I have had a complicated (to put it mildly) chronic pain condition spanning the past 15 years. Which has afforded me (for better or worse) the opportunity to work with dozens of specialists and numerous renowned clinics all claiming to be the people to see when you require the best minds and most skilled in the area of multi symptom, constant, debilitating, chronic head pain. And so far Dr Mehlburg has been more helpful and diligent in his efforts to provide some manner of relief/improved quality of life than all the others combined. I will be forever grateful our paths crossed.
