Bertha the “supervisor” of the facility needs some attitude check. When I got there she was just talking to her family members/friends on the phone instead of helping out their patients and speaking in Spanish so I wouldn’t know what they are talking about. When I asked to verify my insurance and she was giving me trouble with it and accusing me of not calling my insurance to verify it for them. I informed her that I called my insurance to make sure it’s covered because who likes to pay a health service out of pocket?! She wouldn’t let me finish what I was trying to tell her and then she accused me of raising my voice! There were construction going on outside of the office and I could not hear her so I was responding in a higher voice in hope that she can hear me! When I got a hold of my insurance I put her on the phone so both her and my insurance can communicate. Bertha was giving my insurance company attitude the whole time! I went in there to get some help from a therapist and that did not even happen because she canceled my appointment! I’m not sure if she’s having a bad day or something, but doesn’t give her the right to mistreat patients who are already vulnerable. Maybe she needs to see a therapist herself to fix her problems. I wish I didn’t have to give a star because they really don’t deserve it, but this is by far the worst customer service ever.

I took my 2yr old for the first time to Dr. Avila and our experience was pleasant. She was very informative and did a great job! The staff is awesome!

Dr Avila is a great Pediatrician she listens and explains everything thoroughly. Luisa the eligibility specialist makes it way easier to apply for AHCCCS saving you the trip to DES office. Great office overall.
