$300 of disappointment in experience at Glen Ellyn clinic. My daughter was over a year into her allergy shots and while at college near Glen Ellyn wanted to continue her regime. I SPECIFICALLY talked to the receptionist and the clinic explaining we have the serums at her college health clinic but would like to transition care and her allergy regime to a local allergist while at college. I talked to the Du Page G. E. Clinic multiple times to coordinate care, and scanned her current serum dosage from her home allergist to them. I was told they could do this, but needed a consult with an allergist first. A lot of work, but worth it for her and all was going well until her appointment with Dr. Smart. He told her despite what we had been told (several times) they could not continue her care, but start her on their own program, and charged us a $305 for the visit. I am sure he is a good Doc, but we would have never made the appointment if they would have their protocols straight. 3 phone calls with patient relations and a promise that someone would get back to me in 5 days with her experience, we receive a form letter 2 months later ....case reviewed, no apology, and pay $305 for a 8 minute visit to tell my daughter they cannot continue her allergy shots after I had done everything possible to ensure their clinic could continue her allergy shots. I never asked for a no charge visit, a slight adjustment would be just, at least an explanation or follow-up call. I am a Doc myself who runs a clinic of 5 docs and am aghast at the lack of professional from their office. I respect and understand they have clinic protocols, but you should be embarrassed at multiple levels.I have given rare google reviews in 10 years, but I gave your clinic multiple chances to rectify your customer service and patient experience.

Was scheduled for pelvic US and did all the pre-testing instruction about drinking water 1 hour before test , arrived 10 min before schedule as instructed , 2 min before my appointment, I checked if the tech can take me already as I needed to pee badly and getting uncomfortable. They told me the tech was just cleaning the room and would take me in 5 min. 5 min past , no tech and it was past my appointment time . I asked again , and 10 min past my appointment time , they said she was just finishing up, well I thought she was just cleaning the room . Obviously, not ready to take me . And I couldn’t hold my bladder any longer so I just went to the bathroom and cancel my appointment since they can’t do the US without a full bladder . If they know the nature of the test and the preparation that it takes and how it can make someone uncomfortable, they should be more efficient. I did all the things that they ask me to do but they’re not ready to do their part . I was so disappointed, wasted time and effort to do the prep. I normally go to Lombard location for labs and it’s way better , more efficient. My first time here and it’s an awful wasted time and experience.

My husband came in on time for his scheduled COVID-19 vaccine, and they wouldnt take him because he didnt answer their phone call during the same day. The office called him a bunch of times throughout his workday to confirm the appointment, but they never left a voicemail so he did not know who it was. He checked in online in advance, but the office said you have to answer the phone when they call that day, otherwise they cancel your appointment and give it to someone else. What kind of asinine policy is this?! He scheduled this second dose WELL in advance, he checked in online, and he showed up on time. Over an hour round trip of driving for them to tell us that they canceled his appointment for what I consider to be no reason. You guys are telling us that you cancel every vaccine appointment when someone doesnt answer your phone call, even when they check in online? When he asked why checking in online doesnt count, they basically said Whoops, we dont know! Sorry, no doses left today! We ultimately decided to cancel his appointment and schedule it elsewhere. Walgreens took us right away and the process was so much easier; they had an available next-day appointment.

Dr. Griffith Hsu is the worst ears, nose, and throat doctor I’ve ever had. He was 5 minutes late to my appointment, normally I wouldn’t mind, except he rushed through the next 6 minutes of my actual appointment. I was only in his office for 6 minutes. He also brushed off many symptoms I was expressing, as if they weren’t important enough for him to hear. A couple weeks later I got a CT scan referred by him. He claimed that the CT was normal but yet there are indications showing up, along with the symptoms I have, that point towards chronic sinusitis and inflammation of the ethmoid air ways - which are very treatable things. And Dr. Hsu says my extreme discomfort in my throat and nose are normal? I feel his adequacy is diminished and he should probably study his field harder and have more patience if he actually wants to make a difference in people’s lives. All the other doctors, nurses, even custodial staff at this location are incredibly kind and respectable people. But not Doctor Hsu, he’s rude and unethical.

My daughter had an appoinment later in the day, to which my husband would normally take her to but he got caught up with work and was not going to make it home on time. I call to see if I could take her in earlier. Surprisingly they did which I was glad. I mentioned to the scheduler was it ok if I brought my 18 month old with me aswell she said yes. We arrived to the appoinment at the new time and upon checking the receptionist read me their policy on no visitors. I said I understand but when I called I asked and they said it was ok for me to bring my son in. Let me say her appoinment was for allergy shots! We do not even go into a room we just walk in she gets her shots and we wait in the waiting room. I also said if it was an issue with us waiting the 30 mins in the waiting area I could wait out in the hall. She still did not seem to care about my frustration and said she would ask the nurse. The nurse said no, so we left. And now I had to call work and explain this whole situation and that I will be late! Before we left the building my daughter had to go to the restroom. She opened the door and said mom I can hold it till we get home. Dmg should worry their cleaning especially the restrooms as much as they care about the polices. The restroom was nasty!!! Looked as bad as if hadnt been cleaned all week!We came to her appoinment later as we are waiting, now my daughter and I another mom has 2 kids with her and the appoinment is for her!!! They dont even fuss or read the policy to her.

Dr. Jeffrey Ksiazek is THE BEST! While removing two parathyroid glands, he knew that half of my thyroid also needed to be removed. Based on his experience and expertise, he did just that. When the pathology came back, it revealed that there was a small amount of cancer present. I am so lucky to have had him as my surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone who needs their thyroid tended to. All of the staff at the Glen Ellyn facility has been kind and helpful during this past year of my health issues.

Was told yesterday by doctor my daughter has the flu (didn’t bother swabbing her to verify). Called again today to get cough medicine for daughter cuz she can’t stop coughing and OTC is not helping. No one has called me back from the office and now trying to make arrangements to get my daughter to ER

I have received care from this group since 2009. I have to say that overwhelmingly, my family and I have received compassionate and competent care from all specialities. As with all things and anywhere you go, there is the odd nurse and physician that upon meeting them you KNOW they hate their job and are sour. Having said this, the vast majority of the care my family has received is exceptional, the staff is lovely; the physicians and nurses are professional yet make one feel comfortable. The surgeons can be just a touch....obstinate-brash even; but as someone that works closely with surgeons this is not abnormal at all and for the most part their bedside manner is excellent in comparison to surgeons in other medical groups.All in all, the care is excellent, the staff is excellent, the facilities are excellent.I DEFINITELY would recommend.

I have been a patient of Dupage Medical Group for many years. Recently, their quality of service has dropped significantly. I also notice their specialists are quick to rush patients into the most invasive and expensive procedures first before exploring other options.

I saw a review about Dr. Gonzales that had me in shock! I can only speak of my experiences. Dr. Gonzales in Ortho is simply amazing! He has treated my entire family for years. He is very professional and his follow up is great. Im sorry that this person didnt have the same experience, but I felt I needed to post.DuPage Medical Group is great from Pediatrics and Internal Medicine to Athsma & Allergy and Orthopedics.

I had a very serious case of the influenza A, the Dr. Eric Clymer and Nurses on staff Sunday afternoon displayed an extraordinary show of Care and no doubt love for my life. The 5 day medical pack I recieved for the FLU started helping me immediately. Thank you to the Crew at Immediate Care facilities 430 Pennsylvania avenue Glen Ellyn Illinois. A great bunch of people in (BLACK) I got to get me one of those ¿.lol. Thank you very much. Ms. Brandon

Let me first start out by saying this review has nothing to do with the medical care I received. The doctor I saw was great. This review is about the administrative staff. Also this is not the case for Dupage Medical Group overall as Ive had a great experience with the Wheaton location. I asked for my script while I was in the office to be sent to Costco not CVS as my accounthad displayed. The nurse told me it would be taken care of, they would go ahead and resend the script. I went to Costco tonight and after the pharmacy called my insurance and I was standing at the counter for approximately 30 minutes I was informed that I couldnt use my insurance as it had already been filled with CVS. I was never told to call CVS while in the doctors office to cancel, instead they made it sound as though it was being taken care of. If I had been told I could have taken the needed steps to fix the situation before arriving to Costco. Thanks a lot Dupage Medical Group for wasting my time.

The receptionists are pretty nice, but everything else has been a horrible experience. My doctor took two seconds to look at my x-Ray before telling me I was fine. I ended up having to get an mri, and in the mri, it said I had bursitis. However, not only did my doctor tell me that there was absolutely problematic in the mri, but I was never able to speak to him again. I only got to talk to the nurse who didn’t know the answer to any of my questions, so she would just keep saying, “I’ll ask your doctor and get back to you.” When she finally would get back to me, I might have another question, and she’d have to tell me the same thing so she could go ask my doctor. My biggest frustrations are the fact that I can no longer get a hold of my doctor and the fact that in the write up for My Chart in my mri, it says I have bursitis, but my doctor (*through the nurse*) did not mention this and told me that everything was fine.My doctor was Dr. Gonzales in the orthopedic department, and I would not recommend him. I also would not recommend this facility.**Also, you’ll see that the owner commented below. When you email the address they provide below (like I did), they never get back to you. No one actually hears your concerns.

I have been visiting a primary care physician for 2 years at DMG Glen Ellyn. DMG Glen Ellyn is absolutely awful and I would not recommend that anybody return to their facilities.The secretaries are cold, unhelpful and rude. My boyfriend fainted early this morning and smacked his head on our bathroom countertop when he fell so we decided to go into DMG to get him checked out. As he told his doctor about what happened, his doctor told him that his story was very dramatic. As a professional care physician, this behavior and response is absolutely unacceptable, rude and unprofessional. We will most definitely not be returning to this facility and will find a medical group where all of the physicians care for their patients and treat them with respect, care and dignity.

Ive been with DMG for over 19 years. Ive only had problems with one doctor and he was a surgeon. He only spent 5 minutes with me before telling me that my pain was all in my head. I had to see a surgeon outside DMG and he found that I had a broken bone sitting on my nerve. Other then that one doctor all the others thats Ive seen are very respectful, friendly and actually take time to listen.

Called physical therapist department to make 8 session follow ups, a lady ‘char’ made those appointments brilliantly ,spoke very calmly and paid attention to detail 👍
