8 hours to be cared for at an Emergency Room?I didnt realize we had a better chance of being seen by George Clooney than an actual provider.Shame on us, I guess we shouldve known better.Get it together.

The first time we came here, my son had a fever and was projectile vomiting all over the place. He wouldnt stop screaming and was clearly having a rough time. We waited two hours to be moved from one waiting room to a smaller waiting room. Then from that waiting room, we were moved into an actual room where we sat for another 1.5 hours so they could give him ibuprofen and Tylenol.Ive been having trouble breathing in the last 36hrs, and its progressively getting more painful. I called the Tricare nurse line, and they told me that this was the closest ER open. I got here around 11pm, and its now 1:14am, with no updates or anything. Nowhere to sleep either, since all the benches are full of other people trying to sleep, likely waiting as well.As someone else said in their review, if you want to die waiting in the lobby, this place has you covered. Looking at reviews, this problem has been going on for 2+ years. Oh, and the waiting room is disgusting.

Got here at 8 pm and wasnt seen till 1:30AM and left around 3:45 Am.Just poorly ran, Ive been to lots of ERs that can at least make people comfortable while they wait, I had at ask for zofran as I was dry heaving and vomiting in the waiting area (super not hygienic or comfortable in a mask). There were multiple of us vomiting in the waiting room (which I cant imagine was comfortable to those around us). The nurses checking people in can definitely work on at least allowing people to be comfortable, Especially since family cannot wait with you right now. Once I was taken to the back, no vitals were taken, just a weight and I was told to sit in a well lit room without anyone even checking my chart and thinking that maybe a migraine person could have the lights off or help me get comfortable before waiting for the doctor to come in.Some things can help people without lots of time and energy and that would take huge loads off of the doctors and nurses in the back. Ive been to a lot of hospitals and ERs in the last ten years and I know with COVID that procedures have changed and a lot of places are short staffed, but there were 2-3 nurses up front doing check ins (even when there were no check ins) and they could have at least helped the non critical ones get out quicker if it wasnt something that needed to be actively supervised by a doctor. I saw my doctor once when I went back before being handed off to the nurse who oversaw the rest of my treatment and discharge without a hitch. Having people wait for hours miserable without any supervision or care is worse than giving them some relatively safe medications so that at least theyre sitting there not bothering other people. The nurse that took care of me in the back though, she was AMAZING and that girl needs a raise which is why they got two stars instead of 1. So BRAVO to nurses who are working their hardest, but this hospital does need some help with procedures that could make things much smoother and simpler for them in the long run.

Nice nurses and doctors, but waited almost 7 hours in the ER. Dont bother posting the advocate number. Apparently horrible wait times have been an issue at this ER for a looooong time. Im going to Anne Arundel Medical next time.Update: Apparently the rep who discharged me didnt enter my insurance information into the system. So now I have to call every single entity that billed me (the hospital, the doctor, the radiologist, etc.), because theyre all separate, and give them my insurance information...again. With all the time Ive wasted on this, I feel like BWMC should put me on the payroll too!

“At UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, our goal is to get the patients seen immediately by a physician or physician assistant.” Sure doesn’t seem like the goal. I got here at 4 am and there were 3 people in the lobby. It’s 6 now, and they told me there are 5 people in front of me and I’ll be here for a while, “until the morning”... it’s already 6am?2 hours in a waiting room with only 4 people is ridiculous. I haven’t seen a single person be taken back to see a doctor. At least one of the nurses is nice.

My visit to this ER was exceptional! The staff was caring and the facility was running very professionally. My nurse Heather was attentive and kept me well informed throughout my visit. This kind of care should be the standard throughout the medical profession. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to my family.

Worst ED experience ever. My mom who’s 46 year old came with acute left arm and leg numbness, tingling and heaviness.... came by 911 ambulance service. Triage did sent her directly to the common waiting area without any stroke work up... doesn’t matter what algorithm they used. She had significant symptoms. She’s still waiting in the waiting area after 6 hours without a CT head.Pathetic....Never ever again to this hospital...horrible experience... not courteous... not a safe place to visit.Rate : 0

Worst hospital ER in the world. Staff sits around discussing their personal lives, flirting with the paramedics, and they had patients who clearly needed medical assistance waiting unnecessarily for over 3hrs. Additionally, they were prioritizing caucasians over ethnic groups. The management of the ER should do a better job in managing the staff. Unfortunately, this place doesn’t deserve even a 1 star rating.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would!! I have been sitting in the waiting room for ER for 12 hours now!! I just went to check on wait time and was told by the receptionist that I was not even in the system and had been discharged over an hour ago! She called the charge nurse and the charge nurse said that someone called my name 3 times, which is a lie as I was in the waiting room the entire time! The receptionist did vouch for me and told the charge nurse that I had in fact been waiting there and no one called for me.If I was not in such severe pain and waiting on test results, I would have left hours ago. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!!

This was the WORSE I mean WORSE hospital visit Ive ever experienced in my entire life! Unprofessional nurses, doctors, emts. Discussing there personal lives break ups while drawing blood from my arm. Discussing Social media statics while Im in excruciating pain. The Nurse with the head band on her head That was on duty Saturday 25th 2020 at 2am entering the waiting room calling patients names was very rude. Yelled at me bcus I didnt want her to take my wheelchair away from me. Shes was very disrespectful and had a really bad attitude. Everyone in the waiting room was in shock of this awful treatment when coming to a hospital for help. I arrived by ambulance 1230am. Didnt get seen until 4am. Unbelievable! I wouldnt advise ANYONE to go to this hospital for any reason unless you wanna get treated like dirt.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the most unprofessional unsanitary emergency room Ive been in. Currently sitting in the ER waiting to be seen. Went through getting my vitals and having an i.v. put in 2 hours ago, sent back to sit in the waiting room... okay no big deal, until a guy came in vomiting. There is a full puke bag laying on the floor spilling vomit everywhere. Several patients waiting to be seen, including myself have alerted the registration staff and er security about it - who are to busy discussing their personal lives to even block off the area so none steps in it. They get attitudes when we say something and ask us to just go sit back down, theyre aware and itll be handled. The guy vomited over 30 minutes ago and has been put in a room but the puke puddle is still here. Hopefully I dont get more sick having chosen to come to this place.

I came in at 10:45pm and it is now 4:30am and I still haven’t been seen. I wouldn’t have come in if I didn’t think I needed to. I’m not the type of person who goes to the doctor while I’m sick, let alone the Emergency Room. I tried asking how much longer it might be and I was told I was low priority because that’s how the nurse triaged me. I mean, really? That’s what you’re going to tell a patient who’s been waiting for 5 hours?!? Meanwhile they’ve called several patients multiple times who are clearly no longer here because they most likely got sick of waiting. Everyone on staff here tonight has been incredibly rude and unhelpful.

Although there are nothing but negative reviews on here, my experience was pleasant and everyone was very nice and caring. I came in with level 10 pain, my ear and entire face and neck was in pain due to severe ear infection. I had black spots of fungus growing inside my ear and the exterior was red and swollen. The doctor said this was the worst ear infection he had ever seen and quickly prescribed heavy medication to ease my pain as well as stronger antibiotics. One shot and a few pills later I was feeling so much better within seconds. I couldn’t have been more thankful as I had been suffering all day with pain and the Urgent Care facility I had visited earlier that day prescribed me with weak pain meds.

Everyone I interacted with in the ER was very kind and professional. I spent about 3 hours there from check in to release which is not bad for an ER visit. This is a very busy ER and they seem understaffed which likely contributed to the wait. I removed one star because the hospital is quite dirty. The pillow on the stretcher had a terrible stain covering most of the pillow and none of the surfaces in my room had been sanitized.

Horribly managed. Lots of apologies, little action. 5 hr. wait for extreme vomiting and severe dehydration. Couldnt be smart enough to provide IV fluids while waiting. After 2 hrs. asked again to ER nurse who was announcing all wait times were going to be extended 3 more hrs. She assured me we would see a tech with fluids, no-one showed up. I guess if its not happening to you or your family it just doesnt matter.

ZERO STARS!! The wait time is HORRIBLE, almost ALL nurses have bad attitudes! When people are sick they want to AT LEAST see friendly faces! Not some mean, hateful expressions followed by nasty words! They need all new staff or just shut down completely if Administration or the ER DIRECTOR cant get their employees together! Myself nor my family members will NEVER return here! And Im glad I checked in on FACEBOOK to let everyone know how horrible our experience was! Shame on your facility for obviously glorifying your horrible employees attitudes and demeanor!

Had a family member admitted here, his wife stayed the night with him. While she slept someone went through her purse and stole all her cash out of it. She’s suspecting the night shift housekeeping from 8/1/2017 but she was asleep and it could have been anyone. They may have changed their name but still hold on to the old North Arundle Hospital issues and mentality, absolutely no one to call and make a complaint or report it to.

Wife is having chest pains so we rushed over here. They immediately triaged her and put an IV tube in her just in case they needed to put an iv bag or take blood... then sent us to the waiting room to rot in the beetlejuice waiting room limbo. That was 5 hours ago. All she wants now is to have the iv removed so we can get the hell out of here and go to someone who cares. Never again will I set foot in this place.

My wife had a vehicle rollover and she had to sit in a wheelchair, partially covered in glass, for 6 HOURS after the crash before she was even taken back for an X-ray, let alone any other care. I work in healthcare - this is completely unacceptable. I called the hospital at hour 2 and told them this, and asked if I need to take her to a different ER to actually receive medical care - the lady straight up said, if you want, you can do whatever you feel like you have to do and then hung up on me.If you actually need emergency care, you better pray they dont bring you here.
