I very much disagree with the negative comments Dr. Argeles is a very good doctor and he knows what he’s doing as his current patient he’s made pregnancy very much exciting for me from listening to the babies heartbeat and having answers to my crazy question he makes me feel welcome with his positive attitude and caring demeanor while going over every test done even thought to bring a healthy patient I am very thankful to have a Doctor like Dr. Argeles.

I don’t understand how someone who can have great reviews and yet I feel very uncomfortable with my 2nd pregnancy . I’ve only had two appointments with him and never fully grasp why do I had appointments with him only to have a Q&A. I have a high risk pregnancy and don’t really receive the information in detailed how I feel I need to be informed. It’s more of a what do you want to do with him. Especially making the decision if I will need a cerclage or not. I also feel very unease hearing a Dr. tell me “you never really know what happen during surgery when trying to save a baby with a cerclage.” He explained it more of an experimental thing. That’s not very assuring to an expecting mother who is entrusting you. I just had an appointment with him yesterday and never got to hear our baby heartbeat at least, because he went to have another sidebar with my husband and removed the Doppler after 10 seconds. I asked to take a gender test to surprise family members over the holidays. He informed me to take a certain test which he never returned my call to go over the results with me, nor did the test include gender of the baby. His response to this mishap was like well you misunderstood me. This is my first time dealing with this type of care in Maryland and I’m not sure how things are suppose to work but I’m not having positivity going through this pregnancy.

Dr. Argeles has great bedside manner, takes time to explain conditions and is down to earth. He is approachable and made an uncomfortable conversation very easy to discuss.

I disagree with the previous review. I was induced per recommendation of Dr. Aargeles and he was firm(not a bully) and left a meeting to take my call and explain why he thought induction was a good idea. Here is my story: 💗I thought my 37 week appointment was just going to be another routine pregnancy check. My husband and I werent expecting to be parents for another couple of weeks! I switched practices four times throughout my pregnancy and Im glad I did. My first visit was with the midwife Rachel, who was very kind, took time to understand the type of birth experience I wanted and really made me feel like she cared and respected me and my husbands wishes; unlike my experience with Special Beginnings and Capital Womens Care in Fulton. I had some additional concerns about my baby that Rachel thought should be answered by an OBGYN, so she suggested I make my next visit with doctor, Dr. Argeles(regarding ECV breech method and growth) to put my mind at ease. I really appreciated her honesty (the way healthcare should be). My second visit with the practice was set with Dr. Argeles; which would be my very first time meeting him. I have previously worked in healthcare and never in my career or many trips to the doctors have I been blown away by someones bedside manner. He actually looked at my past patient records! I know this is to be expected, but none of the other Doctors from previous practices did this.Doctor Argeles at University Community Medical Group has a genuine interest in his patients, attention to detail( past US growth patterns, past belly measurement records), and his instincts told him to order an additional ultrasound that was more advanced and specifically for babies, this saved my babys life! My baby had single umbilical artery, irregular Doppler, and learned after delivery she had a short cord and the cord wasnt attached right to the placenta. This significantly increased her chance of being still born if we tried to go to term, so we did an immediate induction based on his recommendation. We made a good choice as parents and are so happy to welcome to the world Ariana Snow 4 lbs 10oz and 18.5 inches. He even made a visit to me in the hospital. We now have happy and extremely healthy baby. :)

Tried to bully and scare my daughter into being induced 1 day before her appointment with her regular doctor and 3 days before the date she is scheduled to be induced. I would give him zero or negative stars if I could.
