We have been receiving services at the Virginia Family Dentistry at Staples Mill for a year. This group always keeps us informed about my schedules. The billing office was helpful to clear out some confusions at the beginning when we were setting up the accounts. The hygienist Megan always gives us a heads-up on her next move and clean our teeth with gentle care. Thanks to everyones help at this facility. We highly recommend this group for your dental care.

I have never had such bad service. I had a great dentist but due to an insurance charge switched to this place. Well it has been one bad experiences after the next. I originally scheduled with a specific dentist who was recommended, only to be told that was her day off. The first hygienist told me she could not clean my teeth, even though my visit paid for it, because I needed a deep cleaning. That was a huge surprise to me because I take very good care of my teeth, and have been told as much. Well they couldnt schedule it for 3 months. So I go back in for that cleaning, and was told by the next hygienist that I didnt need the deep cleaning because my teeth and gums were not in bad shape. But to be sure, she scheduled an appointment with a periodontist. Upon arrival that day I was told I had no periodontist appointment scheduled,. All they had on their books was my next office visit. I saw Giana Watson, Hygienist, for my 6 month cleaning. She was very professional and I feel very thorough, scaling my teeth ultrasonically. Dr. Mark came in and after admiring Ginas work, he pronounced me good to go for another 6 months. The only pain came with the presentation of the bill at check out - perhaps Medicare will relieve that pain in the future.

Service was great. I have been able to get regularly cleanings and checkups after being without dental insurance for a number of years. I highly recommend this practice.

I am always impressed with the professionalism, efficiency and client orientation of the dental operation. Yesterday I was seen on tine, my needs were satisfied swiftly and professionally all the while I was updated on the personal relationships and ties that we have established. Trite....perhaps but going to the dentist has become fun!!!

Dr. Mark is a wonderfully skilled dentist. After having 6 issues fixed, was very comfortable. I expected pain after numbing wore off and of course ulcers at the points off interesting novacaine.However, there was no soreness or pain after the numbing was gone and the following day, I did not feel like I had been to the dentist at all.The support staff are polite and caring.

The dentist I see at this facility is great! She knows what she is doing and always manages to calm my nerves about going to the dentist! I have bad teeth from growing up in the country and it hasnt scared her away! If your in the market for a new dentist this is the place to go.

Dr Steven Larkin and his team of professionals are outstanding in what they do. I had oral surgery yesterday to remove all my top teeth and implants placed. This was not a painful experience. Dr Larkin and his team were gentle and the sedation was pain free as well as the procedure. I’m at home recovering and have no major discomfort at all. I highly, highly recommend Virginia Family Dentistry and Dr Steven Larkin, DDS for ALL your oral care needs. 5 stars hands down!!

What great Dr. Larkin is. I have been seeing him for long time. I have had many procedures with him and I have not had a bit of pain from anything he has done for me. I have never cared for dentist but I have sure changed my mind when it comes to dentist. I would recommend Family Dentistry anytime for any reason if you need a dentist this is the place to go.

The trio of Dentist Maria Correa, Monique with XRays, and Katie the hygienist teamed up to give me a great dental experience. I hadnt been to a dentist in a while, and they took their time to get good images, get my teeth good and clean, and set up a good care and treatment plan to keep my teeth in good shape. Bedside manner of all was very good, and the cleaning was thorough but not heavy-handed.

The best! Who likes going to the dentist? No one of course but we like coming to to VFD Staples Mill because the service is efficient the facility is super clean and the staff compliments the service with their friendliness. I have been to several dentistries in the Virginia area, and this the best one of them all. Awesone skilled dentists, clean and wonderful customer service. Since moving further away from their location, I will still travel over an hour to get serviced there. If you find a good dentistry stick with it, I will.

I find Virginia Family Dentistry- (VFD)- staff, technicians and doctors to be top shelf dental care providers.While I understand cost of care increases are necessary, these sometimes surprise me.However I get past it rather quickly when I consider VFD strives to provide the best care, diagnostics, treatment and of course people.

Dr. Lyons, his staff and the staff in the reception area are all extremely friendly; I felt at home from the moment I walked in the front door. I was early because I traveled a distance, so they allowed me to be seen earlier than my appointment. They also asked me which genre of music I preferred and played a piece to help me relax while I waited for the doctor. It just happened to be one of my favorite pieces of classical music (Vivaldis Four Seasons). They didnt know but that meant a lot to me because that piece was what I listened to as a child after a long day at school. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who seeks outstanding service.

Dr. Correa was amazing. She truly cares that you are comfortable and that you understand what is happening every step of the way. She makes going to the dentist feel a lot less like going to the dentist!

ALWAYS great service here the minute you walk through the door. The receptionist are amazing and kind, the dental team and doctor are amazing as well, always a job well done and they actually take their time on dental cleanings and exams! VA Family Dentistry has always made themselves available to assist me in many situations including being able to get me in at the last minute or same day for emergencies. It was great everyone is polite and nice.

I came in to address a current tooth issue, which was scheduled. Once in the chair what was taken over the phone from the young lady was all butt backwards and wrong. No one listens it was very irritating. You are told to read a disclaimer being seen with the corona-virus being current and alive. They want your service with no accountability. There should be a shield where youre being examined and air filters in to decrease the germs for the well being safety of the patients being seen. You are told to take your mask off so they can exam you, but not to put it back on and theyve walked off somewhere else and you are exposed. I told my employer I had a doctors appointment and I would be in directly after. Unfortunately, there was a cancellation they want to get my cleaning which could have waited. It took forever. I should just left by the time I lost a half of my work day was basically over. Very inconsiderate sorry doesnt give back lost time.

They keep changing their dental hygienists all the time, so I dont get same quality service most of the time. last time was very disappointing and Ive experienced it different time. Its time to change my dentist.

My hygienist Jennifer was AWESOME! I was extremely nervous about my appointment due to COVID. Jennifer helped me relax and talked to me the entire time to keep my mind at ease. It was over before I knew it. Thank you Jennifer you are a gem!

I now live in WV, so I dont go to Dr. Steve Larkin anymore, but I think he is awesome. He was my dentist for like 20 years or so. He put veneers on my 6 top front teeth years ago. I cant even remember what year now...I think around 2008. Here I am on my 49th birthday in 2021. Every dentist I have been to compliments his work. Thank you Dr. Larkin!

Appointment was on time. Staff/techs/and dentists all very pleasant and very professional. As a retired healthcare professional, I appreciated their dedication and professionalism. Equipment, very current and high tech which is a plus as it makes their work more efficient and effective.

I went for my first appointment yesterday and had the best experience! Both the hygienist and doctor were so helpful and friendly. Definitely going to stick with them!

As usual, my trip to the dentist was top notch. I felt very safe. They only allow minimum people in at a time based on appointments they set. Everyone coming in gets a health screening at the door which was easy and painless. And of course, the work I needed done was completed flawlessly and in a very professional manner as it always is. Dr Larkin is an amazing dentist.

1-1/2 hour late (even after I showed up early to fill out paperwork), they finally took me back at 1:30 pm for a 12 noon appointment; 18 X-rays of my mouth on the 1st visit, bruising the roof of my mouth. But on the positive side, no cavities.

I was seen promptly and despite being in pain was treated very kindly by both staff and Dr Larkin.

Very friendly staff, thorough exams. Great instruction and I don’t ever feel like they are trying to sell you work thats not really needed. Prompt with responses and communication. Felt very comfortable going in even with Covid issues. All precautions being taken very seriously!

As a new patient, I felt welcomed immediately. My hygienist took her time and was very thorough. I like the hydrosonic cleaning system so the fact they provide that service is a huge plus.

As my previous dentist had retired & I hadn’t seen one in over a year, I unwillingly made an appt with the same practice that my husband uses. When I arrived, the staff was prepared & pleasant. I admitted to my lapse of time & sensitive teeth/gums!! When I was promptly called for my turn to do what I really didn’t want to do, I was met at the door by a sweet young girl who had a lovely smile on her face & beautiful white teeth.....Michelle ( sorry if I have misspelled her name) introduced herself to me & immediately acknowledged my fears & asked questions while walking to THE CHAMBER. I was horribly embarrassed by how bad my teeth looked with dark stains of coffee & tea!! She asked me questions & heard my answers. As I settled into the chair, she told me what she would like to do & was that ok? She worked very gently all the while checking in with me to make sure I was ok. when she was done, I was not only amazed by no pain but shocked at the white teeth I had!! THANK YOU MICHELLE!!! I also have my next appt!!! I would definitely recommend them! Thanks!!!🤩

I am a first time patient and I will definitely be a long term patient after a great experience here. Very friendly, clean and professional environment. All the staff is knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable. The hygienist was gentle on my mouth and walked me through step by step what she was doing and the options. The dentist was very informative about recommendations on how to help my dental hygiene and what services they can provide. I love that they have orthodontics options on site and a an option for a free consult with a partnered orthodontist offsite as well. They have multiple locations for dentist offices too! Coming out of my appointment my teeth never felt cleaner without feeling super sore or uncomfortable. So glad to have found a great dental office in the area!

Dr. David Wozniak just completed a complex root canal procedure for me. I have never been better cared for. He is a superior Endodontist! And assisting him in the process was his friendly and totally professional Dental Technician, Jennifer. They make a great team!

I was extremely satisfied with my initial visit. Ive never before left a dental office without any pain...here I was happy to say I left pain free. The staff were very professional and explained everything clearly. I dont usually look forward to any dental visits, but can truthfully say I am happy to return to this office. I will also be happy to recommend them to others.

The front desk staff was very nice upon arrival. The place was busy, but they make sure to give you direct care. My hygienist, Christian, was super attentive. He did an exceptional job cleaning my teeth and listening to my concerns. As did, Dr. Mark. Thank you everyone.

My family and I have been with this practice (Staples Mills and Ironbridge) and its name changes for over a decade. I love the dental care they provide us and lately, I have been in the care of Christian who is fresh out of dental hygiene school within the past year. Simply put he rocks! The knowledge he has, the precise care he provides, and the way he educates his patients real time is priceless. I sill love Kim and Dr. D!! They have been nothing but fabulous!!

Dr. Larkin was my dentist for approximately 10 years before I moved away. Some of the services he performed on me was root canals, implants and crowns on all of my teeth. I am not the best patient on follow--through because I just dont like to go to the dentist. He and his office made it as enjoyable as possible. He did an excellent job with every procedure. You are in excellent hands if you select him as your dentist. For me, one of his strongest skills was cosmetically knowing what would look the best. They have a very busy practice but he always took the time to explain everything in detail before I made my decisions. I also had to call him a few times with issues and he was always available and responsive to me. I would give him 10 stars if possible.

As always, Margaret was amazing. She is always polite, considerate, courteous and patient in explaining what she was doing and why. She enjoys her work and it shows. I look forward to my half-yearly treatment at this clinic. The front desk staff are also polite and courteous and make everyone feel comfortable. My family are pleased with the level of service we get in this place.

Virginia Family Dentistry Staples Mill is the best dental practice in the metro Richmond area. Dr. Larkin is fantastic (and exceptionally talented with cosmetic procedures) and the hygienists and staff are all top notch. Virginia Family Dentistry is a highly professional practice, but with a family focus that shines through everything they do.

Where do I begin? (Embarrassing) This is the first time in years that I have had proper dental care. As you can imagine I was terrified, stricken with anxiety. I had read reviews prior to selecting this practice and for the most part the reviews about the dental staff were stellar -minus the reviews about the hospitality of the front desk. Upon arriving to the dental office the front desk staff was attentive and polite. My appointment was at 2:00pm but I was not seen until 2:35pm which increased my anxiety. Finally, I was called back by Kim and she greeted me with a smile and thanked me for my patience. I was walked to the room and Kim was social and answered all my questions about the process and what I can expect. She was comforting when I began to have a mild anxiety attack and gave me the space I needed to calm down. Dr. Mark was kind and thoroughly explained my x-rays and the options I had during the appointment. I felt comforted in knowing that I was not pressured in making in decisions. However, I felt like my health was in great hands that I ended up going through with the procedure that only lasted 20 minutes. The staples mill office is amazing and made me feel comfortable and I have already scheduled another visit. Thank You Kim and Dr. Mark.

I had a root canal, crowd, and cavities filled here, and very satisfied with the job done. Practice functions as well oiled machine. Lots of locations adds to convenience. Easy to get appointments.

I love this location and dentist office. My mother and I have been going for years. My mother recently had a stroke and this was her first cleaning afterwards, and I was nervous for her. I shouldn’t have been. Michelle, the dental hygienist, was extremely gentle and warned her of each upcoming step. Dr. Larkin was also very kind towards my mom in greeting and checking her out. My mom has always had him, but I have always had Dr. Mark, who I also really like. There were no issues and my mom left with a beautiful smile, and so did I! I couldn’t imagine going to another office after the great experiences I’ve had over the years. I have also had Sharon as my hygienist, and she was great as well. Front desk staff is always quick and friendly to greet. They make you feel welcomed.

Dr. Diane Iachini is a great Dentist. She is definitely one of the best Dentists that I have worked with. She is thorough and explains everything. She takes her time to provide you with the right information, the available options, and then allows you to make the decision. The office staff and hygienists are nice. It is a warm, friendly, and fun environment.

It was my first time going to a new dentist in many years. The visit was very good. I tend to gag a lot - the dental hygienist, Joan, and the dentist, Mark, were both very patient with me and helped me gag less! The ultrasound cleaning was very effective. The receptionists were all very nice to me also.

I have been petrified of the dentist for 7 years after a bad experience, and Dr. KiKi and the dental hygienist soothed my anxiety with ease. Even with a hectic schedule, they didn’t rush me or make me feel like a nuisance. Instead, they made me feel heard and understood. Best believe I’m spreading the word!! Thank you all so much.

I felt that the entire team, hygienist and dentist, reviewed my x-rays and dental work making sure that everything was healthy. I left knowing I was in good hands. This was my first visit to Virginia Family Dentistry, and I will certainly make VFD my new dental home.

Melissa in the reception area is one of the rudest people I’ve come across in a long time. There are too many other GREAT dentists in town that have better staff working for them. Good customer service is such an easy thing and when folks are hired that can’t interact with people - the damage is irreparable.

Dr. Mark D and has Asst. Kim was exceptional. They made sure I was comfortable, calm and at ease. Excellent professionalism and skilled for the task at hand. Great experience. This will be my go to dentistry. People are very helpful and kind.10/08/18. Just had my cleaning. Went great. My dentist is Iachini and she is fantastic. The gentleman that cleaned my teeth is Christian, and he was wonderful.

The staff are friendly. I had been to a dentist that kept telling me I needed extensive additional work even though I had no real symptoms. They couldnt believe I was told of the extra work. I did not tell them about the comments until AFTER my cleaning and exam. The cleaning was very quick and easy.

I have been coming here for several years now and it is a great office! The staff is so nice. I love my hygienist and Dr. Mark (usually who I see) is wonderful as well!

I had a most excellent experience with Virginia Family Dentistry. They were able to squeeze me in for a root canal before I had to leave the area and ther work was super and the efficiency and friendliness of staff was impressive!

Margaret was super sweet and made me feel so comfortable at my first visit! The Staples Mill location is awesome! I would highly recommend!
