Best Dr. in the free world. Cares more than he should. So smart that you have to concentrate on what he is saying lol Such a good guy. I wouldnt trust anyone more than him. 10 stars!

Sadly I can’t say how Dr. Thornbury was as a doctor because of the SEVERE lack of communication from his office staff. I am new to town and after doing research decided to go with this office and gave them a call. You have to go in person to fill out an application to even become a new patient (not sure why this couldn’t be filled out online) but I went with it and went in. I was told I would be called in a few days with more information. Never received a call. So after calling them several times over two weeks to try to get a phone call back I was told I had to come in and have labs run to get a physical to be able to make an appointment. They said that I could come in anytime without an appointment. I then dragged my three young children in and stood there for a while before anyone acknowledged me (this happened the first time I went in as well. The staff each time just stood around talking about lunch) the lady then told me that the lady that runs labs was out to lunch so I would have to wait. She then asked if I had been fasting. I was never told over the phone anything about fasting or given any instructions. Then not being apologetic or at all sympathetic told me that I would have to come back or that I could be waiting at the door before they opened the next day..all while seeing that I had my kids with me and still giving me very little information. Overall this office has given me a HORRIBLE impression and I would rather drive 40 minutes to Bowling Green for a better provider than attempt to try and get an appointment finally made there. I even come from a family that practices medicine so I am very understanding of being busy in the moment and things happen...but it has been a month long process with still no appointment made. Don’t waste your time.

Although Thornbury and Boone are great, I have always had negative experiences with the staff. The quality of healthcare provided at this place is great, but not good enough to overlook the terrible staff. I will not be going back.
