Member since 2015. I thought that I wanted to find another gym that was open 24 hours. Joined EOS…. For one visit. Chaos…is how describe that place. MSF…I have never had a complaint at ANY of your locations. Always clean, great employees, plenty of equipment & clientele with class (mostly). You are my home, MSF.

I was processed by the general manager quickly and efficiently but always felt that he cared and my satisfaction mattered. The staff were always friendly and eager to help and answer all my questions. The gym was very clean, organized and the general atmosphere was relaxed, making one fell at ease and comfortable.

We really enjoy this location! The childcare area is awesome and all 4 of our kids enjoy going :) They have a lot of choices of equipment and classes.We have been doing personal training with Shelby the last several months and really enjoy working with her! She is knowledgeable and really customizes workouts to our different needs. Highly recommend her and this gym!

Worst staff inside a gym facility. I was harassed by another member. I tried to announce the problem to the staff but they waited until it escalated into a bigger problem. Im a veteran, and a active service member of the community. Even a member of the wounded warrior project. Didn’t matter, no respect for its members. My life was threatened inside of this gym and yet no apology. Instead i received a text message stating they were terminating my membership at all facilities and that a refund would return to my account. Even though i tried my hardest to eliminate problem by contacting staff and management. Sad.

Great gym, updated, clean and well maintained. Up to date equipment and a large variety of new machines.

The training department at this location is stellar. If youre new to this Mountainside location and youre looking for a trainer Id HIGHLY recommend Shelby! Shes the best trainer there , shell push you not only physically but mentally, and shes beyond encouraging. Shes extremely personably as well, when I get trained by Shelby it feels like Im working out with a close friend versus a personal trainer. LOVE her!

I have been going to this gym for years and last Friday someone stole an excessive amount of cash from my gym bag, (which was in a locker with the lock on.) I only get “we’llLook into it” and staff seems not to care. Normally I do not carry such a large amount they just got lucky, but the lack of empathy and compassion is frustrating.

I really wish the childcare didn’t have a move room and video games. Otherwise this place is wonderful!

This location is phenomenal. Always clean and staff is friendly and helpful. At every stage of the lockdown, from pre-closure to reopening, the CEO kept members in the loop as to company decisions and evolving protocol. I was impressed by his dedication to our needs for fitness. My favorite part of the Mountainside member benefits are the cotton swabs and towel service. Been coming here since 2016.

I’ve been to multiple Mountainside locations and the Gilbert one is by far my favorite! Mostly because my fav personal trainer, Shelby, is there! I’ve trained with Shelby twice a week since February and I’ve had such a great experience. This has been my first time using a personal trainer and the accountability and encouragement has made all the difference. While I may leave every session completely exhausted and sore, I feel equally accomplished and stronger. I would highly recommend the personal training at Mountainside and especially with Shelby.

Everyone has been great from Day 1. Child Care is awesome! Taryn, my trainer, is amazing and I actually look forward to working out now!

This is really nice fitness center friendly staff clean facility large number of weight machines treadmills steppers etc many classes to cater all kind of fitness level employees are doing their job but at same time patrons should be doing their part shouldn’t be throwing towel all over the floor in locker rooms and showers.

Taryn is the best personal trainer we’ve had! Very professional, but also makes the session fun! She doesn’t push you so hard you feel like you’ll pass out, but also doesn’t let you slack either!

Friendly staff, lots of machines, clean environment. I personally think the floor layout is very confusing and it has taken me a while to learn where everything is- BUT theres always an open squat rack and the staff is always more than willing to help. I also love a gym that stands up for what they believe in.Definitely worth the price.

Looking forward to the very well kept Sauna and Steam Room.Since this original post Ive been several times to the Sauna and Steam rooms. The locker room is very well kept with plenty if towels. The showers are hot and the blow dryer is a convenient touch. The Sauna and Steam rooms are hot. Very much enjoy going 👍

Tried out the gym once and it wasnt for me, had to pay 100$ on top of the 35$ for my first month to get out of it. Yikes youd think there would be a grace period, 3 days isnt enough. Definitely agree with the other reviews about extracting your money however they can. Weird way to do business in 2021 with other great options out there.

Best gym I’ve been to. It has variety of equipment lots of fitness classes, awesome personal training, and a sauna and steam room!

Been a member for 4 years, their service and quality has really declined. Will not be renewing for another year. They do a poor job explaining fees and work hard to extract money from you. If you’re looking for a new gym membership, you’d be better served saving the money or finding a cheaper one elsewhere.

This gym is always clean. Never jam packed. Great customer service. For the people who have issues with other people not wearing masks, you should probably just stay home. Everyone is respectful with their masks here, don’t let bad reviews like theirs determine your joining or not. The kids care is amazing, you can watch from all the cardio equipment right on the screen! So many things to choose from, you can literally take any workout here and have everything you need.

2 Stars b/c you don’t have a single long length mirror in the women’s restroom and b/c it’s difficult to find the front door! I walked around entire building before figuring out it’s upstairs. Most business would use a sign to communicate to first time users.

I came to this Fitness center for one reason and one reason only, JOSH BENJAMIN. Hes a personal trainer there and the best your ever going to find both for personal gain and goal oriented as well as professional and personable!He leaves so will I.

Finally! no mask mandates! Im heading to Mountainside Fitness who fought for our freedom early on. This is the only gym Ill attend... dropped EOS and have never looked back.

I will never do business with this gym again. They have no problem signing you up over the phone when it comes time to cancel your membership nobody is willing to help. They say you need to come in to cancel but when you do the person in charge of that is never there. I was a member of LA fitness for years and when I wanted to cancel my membership they did everything over the phone with no questions asked. I will be taking my business back to LA fitness

Really, REALLY hot guys and professional staff. Great equipment and nothing stays out of order for too long when broken. I love that I can park in the underground garage and protect my car from the sun.I’ve tried other locations but Gilbert just has a specific vibe that I enjoy. The crowd can get a bit too much around 4:30-6:30; I try to avoid those times. Otherwise it’s very enjoyable here.

Pretty nice. Not my favourite gym Ive ever been to but its waaaaaay better than eos and has decent equipment. The personal trainer costs felt super high but other than that everyone has been very helpful and nice!

Just joined today, and Jackson did a great job of explaining everything. He gave me excellent tour of the club, and answered all my questions.

Been going to this gym for over 10 years. The Val Vista location is amazing! Best gym child care around as well! Love the classes, the instructors... and even just regular equipment is better than other gyms Ive been to.

As other have mentioned, extremely disappointed in their handling of things during the pandemic. I work in healthcare with high exposure and told them this yet they still insisted I come in to freeze our account during the height of the pandemic. Froze our account and since they were closed during part of that “freeze” time I thought we would be allowed to continue the hold. Nope, continued to charge us. Went in to try and get refunded for 1 month (didn’t go to the gym for 5 full months) and they refused to work with us at all. Lost my family as well as many other who we have told about our experience. Had been happy there for 3 years and would have continued on for many more if it wasn’t for their complete lack of flexibility toward customers during an insane time.

Gilbert location rocks! I’ve been to many locations and Gilbert is my favorite. It’s huge, classy, customer service is outstanding, and has so many areas to exercise without running into each other including a dedicated stretching area, CrossFit area, and tire flipping area. Also the kids club is HUGE and has a movie theater and rock climbing wall! There are 4 different group fitness rooms, one of them being newer and providing private boot camp workshops. I also love the locker rooms they are so elegant and Keisha has her own massage area in there! So cool! Highly recommend this gym you won’t be sorry!

I’ve been a Mountainside member since 2012 but the Gilbert location is by far my favorite! This gym is clean and inviting. I had to leave a review because of how helpful and friendly the staff has been. Also the best childcare area I’ve ever seen. I will definitely be coming back to workout here.

Love this location! Cool facility. Cool staff. Cool vibe.It seems that on a weekly basis they are fixing or improving the facility in some capacity. The wall seems a little scratched well the next day they paint it. A machine breaks well they will fix it.Keep up the good work.

I love Mountainside Fitness! I am an instructor and teach at several other gyms, but from an inside look I can tell you we have so many meetings, so many important trainings, managers are always on top so that you, as the member, have the best group fitness experience! as a member my kids love the child care; they are always begging to go! this location has a rock climbing wall, which is truly so cool (and you dont have to pay extra for your kids to do it!!). The bouncy house is always fun too, and of course everyone is nice and caring. I teach yoga and love each member like a friend, a family member. I guarantee you if you love yoga you will love practicing with us!!!Not all locations have the same stuff for the kids club. So please check prior to going. It does have a movie theater (most), games, and the bouncy house. Also very recently a little place where kids can shoot the ball (Queen Creek has a full on half court for them!!).

Trying to cancel my membership until the pandemic is over with. they are refusing unless i come into the gym. in other words, i dont want to go to the gym due to health concerns but they will only cancel if i come into the gym and put my health at stake. the worst part is i cancelled my membership a little over a year ago when i went out of town for a few months. they let me cancel through email. shameful attempt to force someone to pay for something they dont want

I think the gym is great it’s really nice and clean they have everything you need the environment is a work out environment not a social environment! And if you’re trying to find the gym from downstairs it’s on the second floor in the garage floor parking lot I was confused at first. The locker rooms are in the same spot as the theater but it’s not what you think theater area is just a lobby basically but it was a great gym! I look forward to lifting here more often!

This location doesnt enforce COVID restrictions. Everyone is working out without a mask and employees are letting people come in without it.

I can’t express how much my family LOVES this gym! The childcare is amazing..... so amazing that my kids beg to go to the gym! The gym is always updating their equipment and truly take their members suggestions to heart. We love Mountainside

Friendly staff, lots of free weights, weighted bars, and machines. There are plenty of cardio options and room for abs and stretching. It is extremely clean and there are accommodating locker rooms. The massage therapy is fantastic.I do not take classes or use the child care but I see many people utilizing these services.They also have a place to order protein shakes and drinks of a decent variety.Very nice place to get a great workout.

Nice and large so social distancing easy, but didnt see any staff cleaning machines for the 1.5 hours I was there. I belong to other gyms also and they immediately sanitize all equipment between use.

Nice gym. Not too crowded. And initially I was impressed with the daycare. But recently they have cut daycare hours to save money. Restricted access to certain things you USED to have but now can not for ridiculous reasons. For the amount of money we pay as a family ($150/month), you would think they would be more receptive to member input. But I basically got the if you dont like it there are other gyms out there. I finally cancelled my membership and will saved $100 joining a difference gym.

Great gym. Been going there for almost 5 years now. However this one time they made some last end of the year charges and didn’t notify me prior. So I was unaware and didn’t have that much money in the account; caused some overdraft fees I couldn’t afford. Their customer service after that was a nightmare and had to go much out of my way. In the end after going in person, phone calls, and head aches, I was compensated with a smoothie. Which was barely a fraction of the fee.

6 times in the past month there have been no towels available. Cheaper gyms are available with no towel service

Friendly staff and clean facility. Customer service is a big deal here. I know the price will initially put people off in comparison to other gyms. I will go on the record as saying its worth the extra coin. Mountainside Fitness......well done. Youre selling quality. Consider making tanning a bigger part of your model though by getting additional tanning beds (or at least upgrade the one youve got). You wont regret getting a membership at Mountainside.

Great customer service, ask types of classes for different options. Personal trainers who are always available. Steam rooms and saunas and deluxe locker rooms. This is a quality gym experience

I love this gym. I moved to the area from up north, and I like this location even more than the last. Staff is super friendly and the members are mostly very friendly and mostly very courteous. I love seeing the GM Angie as we come in. She and everyone the checks us in are so nice!It’d be nice if they dropped some of the less machines to make a little more room for free weights, because it can eat pretty crowded during rush hour(s).They did recently renovate a whole section and turned it into something of a CrossFit area, which is really nice.It’s not the cheapest gym around (a good thing) but it’s certainly not unreasonable. A very good value if you ask me.

This is the best fitness center I have used. They have a hugh inventory of equipment which is always in super condition, clean and available. The facility is clean and well managed. The staff are great. I highly recommend Mountainside.

I LOVE this gym.. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because of their hours.. And Im an introvert, so I prefer working out when its not super busy. This gym is busy everyday after work except for Friday.. Weekends are ok if you go after noon or 1pm. Everything else is awesome! Staff great, clean equipment, beautiful facility.

Great gym! Love the free wifi, and the fact that I never have to wait for my machine of choice. The ladies locker room is always clean, and I love the towel service so I dont have to carry a wet towel in my gym bag.

Love the classes, especially Amy Larkin, shes the only reason Im there and have been loyal over 7 years!! But they need more than one bathroom in day care part!! How do you expect 50 kids that are all baby to potty training age to use one bathroom?!

Great gym. Plenty of equipment. I never have to wait or pause my routine to get my workout done. This is a wonderful gym. They just need more locations so I can workout at Mountainside when Im out of town.

If you need a gym this is your spot. For a mere 5$ you have access to heavy lifting, body weight equipment galore, yoga, spinning classes, and tons of moving room. Great people, awesome gym.

I dont know if they wipe down their machines and weights properly or not, the last two times Ive gone there Ive gotten sick the next day.

This gym has it all. Staff is always friendly and the members are cool. Not snobby and not creepy.

First time in the gym, understanding its a Sunday, however it was very very calm, not to many people during the busy hour, unlike some gyms. I enjoyed my workout and the ammenties, are amazing. Been a part of many gyms, and so far this has been the most legitness.

Place is not bad has steam room and sauna and nice class variety. A lot of cardio equipment with tvs but needs shades as the glare makes it hard to see . Workout room is nice but needs more free weight benches ,gets busy and you end up waiting a lot. Also no cameras in parking lot so be careful where you park.

I am only doing this review in hopes of stopping the DAILY emails asking for a review.I have no issues with the gym but the constant barrage of emails is annoying.

They show no loyalty to customers who have been with them for a while . I came in with a coupon they mailed to me themselves . The coupon said it expired today, they are saying I cant redeem it because the class should have been redeemed BY today?...The coupon CLEARLY says it expires today, there are no small writing or anything stating what they are telling me. not the best in customer service. sad. I probably wont be renewing my membership.

This review can go two ways. As far as the gym itself, its very nice. Staff is nice. No problems there. If youre going to lift and dont have kids then this is the place for you.However, if you plan on using the daycare, I feel I must share my experience. I know some people are bad customers and come here to try and damage a business that doesnt deserve it so Ill just tell my story and you can decide.They periodically have date night events where you can drop your kids off on a weekend night so you can go out and have fun. They had one this previous Saturday. On Friday I stopped in specifically to ask about the event and if there was anything I needed to do. I was told it was Saturday from 4:30 to 9:00 and it was $25. Thats it.So Saturday comes and my wife and I go to drop off my daughter. The lady at the desk started looking at a sheet that said reservations. Before she even said anything I knew a problem was coming. She said, I dont see your name on the reservation sheet. I told her thats because I didnt have one. I told her I stopped in the day before asking specifics and I wasnt informed about the need for reservations.But no big deal, right? I said ok, how do we fix the problem? The lady sat there looking at me blankly. Then she said, Sorry! She also mentioned it was $25 which I knew and wasnt an issue. The issue was she sat there and wouldnt do anything except say sorry. And we all know that translates to F off. So pretty quickly I determined she was incapable or incompetent or just didnt care and asked for a manager. I was pretty irritated at this point so I wasnt a total jerk but I asked in a way which conveyed my annoyance.Well guess what? No manager on site. Youd think they would be able to contact one to fix their mistake. Nope. She just didnt give a you know what. People like that dont care because theres almost never any consequences. Ill bet nothing happened to her. Or she made up some BS about how it wasnt her fault or I was a jerk.I did make contact with the main manager and the child care manager. They were very nice but there wasnt anything they could do for me. My date night was ruined. I had a crying kid who wanted to play with the other kids and a wife who was on the verge of crying. And I know that sounds dramatic but you have to understand our schedules dont line up very often and date nights are months in between each other.The kicker? When I went in to cancel today the guy who was helping me was blown away by the story. He told me it shouldnt have mattered. They could have taken my daughter and just charged a late drop off fee.So I dont feel comfortable leaving my kid with a lady whos either a liar, ignorant, incompetent, or just doesnt care.Mistakes are made. How she handled the mistake is the problem and shows a serious problem with planning and accountability.

I like this Mountainside location the most of the three Ive been to. Has one trainer who was rude and needs to mind his own business but hes the only issue Ive had there.

They have lots of weights and all types of machines to workout on. Great location being by a freeway.

Really nice place, staff is pretty cool, great equipment. The hours are terrible, closed by 9 pm three days out of the week.

The Zumba classes here are some of the best around!
