Where to begin . This place is horrible first off there lunches seem more important than there patients instead of 12:00 to 1:00 it was 11:51 to 1:15 . That included the lab tech they have in there office who is full of rage 10/12/2021 in case youre wondering which one was working . Speaking of rage theres a guy behind the receptionist desk whos full of rage he nearly went postal about a malfunctioning computer . But heres the greatest part we are in the middle of a pandemic maybe you guys heard of it you wear a mask to prevent germs from spreading well not here . We want all of are patients to have a free dose of covid the angry guy dosent wear one at all as he storms the office about broken computers . Raquel pretends to care as long as your in front of her then shes done . Avoid this place and youll avoid covid as well .

I absolutely love this office! I have been going to Dr. Shaik for 8 years. With her new office staff everything has improved so much! Gabby and Sean are amazing receptionists! They are very friendly, welcoming, and actually answer the phone, so you are able to get an appointment as soon as possible. It is obvious they love their job and care about pleasing all patients. Mariah is wonderful in the lab, and Shannon is an amazing MA. She stayed really late until my appointment was over to let me out the door since the office staff had already left. The reason it was late was because Dr. Shaik is a great listener. She definitely takes the time to make sure you understand everything about your health and answer any questions you might want to ask her. You will never feel rushed. She is patient and kind and I feel very blessed to have her as my endocrinologist.

I have seen both Dr. Shaik and Jesse Taylor and they are both outstanding advocates! Jesse is very thorough in his visits, even over video chats. I recently had a thyroid biopsy done by Dr Shaik, and she was not rushed at all. She made sure I understood everything that was going to happen, she had a fail-safe way for me to let her silently know if I needed a break. She makes constant eye contact, comforting shoulder squeezes, and doesnt leave the room until you understand the whole situation. Its a 3-1/2 hour drive to their office for me, and I have NO problem doing that commute just to see them.

I have a very long and complicated health issues aside from my thyroid. Dr. Shaik along with Jesse Lyon have been amazing in treating my endocrine needs along with factoring in my other underlying issues. Occasionally the office may run behind, but they are human like me, and another patient may require more time, and I’ve have never felt like I’ve been rushed. They offer in office labs and ultrasound which makes it easier on me instead of prolonged waits for outside facilities. They do everything they can to get medication approved, and provide samples as necessary. They have helped me in the 5+ years of going there getting my needs met and under control.

Please dont waste time going here.Terrible doctor with a medical degree from unknown institution that no one has heard of - possibly one of the places where you can buy the degree. Could not provide proper patient care. Staff is as atrocious as the doctor. Could not provide proper care, wasted time, money. Could be charming and attentive in the first few visits as a form of entrapment - so beware and dont get fooled. She may pretend to listen to you to make you feel comfortable, but she has no idea how to diagnose your problem, other than the obvious. Shaikh is out to make money and does not believe in patient care. Dont get scammed, and avoid her like the plague.

Terrible Experience with Raquel Castaneda and Shabeena Shaik, M.D. I went in because I have a thyroid problem and they did not even take the time to explain my condition I was waiting for about 1 hr before I was called in and then another 30 minutes in the room waiting on the Doctor wait let me rephrase that I wouldn’t call them doctor’s they are called paper pushers. Very unprofessional they both were in a hurry Raquel talked so fast I could not understand her it was like i was a bother that I was there and Shabeena came in and she talked to me for 1 Minute 44 seconds fastest visit in the world. I think they were trying to break a record to see how many patients they can do in 1 day!! Money money money!!!! There are way better doctors out there and more experienced than them. So hopefully people Realize what kind of practice they are running and their clientele Will diminish. Dr. Shaik is an OUTSTANDING endocrinologist. After 20 years of seeing many different endocrinologists in several different states, I have finally found the right one. Dr. Shaik is exceptional in the way she interacts with her patients and she finds ways to actually improve her patients health. She really listens to her patients and treats them with the utmost dignity and respect. She is very knowledgeable and is educated in the most recent, and best, medical treatments for diabetes and thyroid problems. I cannot sing her praises enough. I highly recommend Dr. Shaik to anyone who is looking for an endocrinologist . The front office and other staff have always been friendly and helpful to me. I was referred to Dr. Shaik by my internal medicine doctor for abnormal thyroid fluctuations over the past 12 months. The new patient forms ask for medical history and symptoms. My doctors’ office sent a few lab results. I saw a physician’s assistant who sat behind a computer and asked the same questions as on the forms. He did not pay much attention to labs and didn’t seem impressed by my problem even though I have been suffering with multiple symptoms. The P.A. decided on a simple medication change and told me to wait for the doctor. I waited for 40 minutes for Dr. Shaik who did a very brief exam and focused on my other medications instead of my thyroid. No tests, repeat thyroid studies/labs in 6 weeks.I was dissatisfied with the indifference that they conveyed and lack of thorough exam or tests.I went to another endocrinologist for another opinion. The other endocrinologist and her nurse practitioner had read through my history, maintained eye contact and listened carefully to my concerns. I received a thorough exam, thyroid ultrasound and a large panel of labs to check for contributing medical conditions.

Dr Shaik seems like a knowledgeable doctor. She listens well when your in the office.HOWEVER, everything else about my experience thus far has been terrible. On a couple of the prescriptions I have had to get from the doctor, it took 1 week just to send a prescription out. It took 2 weeks for the second one. Currently, we are trying to update a prescription and we are one week in to that process so far. Not to mention, each attempt has required multiple follow up calls. The office staff is terrible. They say they will follow up with phone calls and never do.I was in the office on a Friday, I specifically asked if I could walk out with a hand written prescription. She said that she needed to mail it to me... and that it should arrive by Monday!?!? Well, I called Wed, and nothing had been sent. I had to go pick it up in person. After filling my prescription for my medicine, I noticed that Dr. Shaik did not include syringes with the order (which requires a prescription for). Its been a week since I have inquired about getting a prescription out for them. I still dont have them.Any time I have called to follow up about the status of anything I get a She has a long backlog of orders/prescriptions she needs to get out. I can let her know you called again. This is ridiculous!!! The only doctors office where I have experiences any problems like this. Avoid this office like the plague. She filled out the paper work with me there and we discussed the issues and she seemed supportive of me to be able to work from home. However, when my HR department called to discuss with her my issues and asked if she thought I should work from home, she said no. I felt totally thrown under the bus and decided that I would no longer give her my business as she really did not care about me as her patient. If there was a concern on her part for not supporting me in this she should have brought it up in our visit. She obviously did not feel that it was warranted. Dr Shaik is my amazing Endocrinologist! I give her credit for saving my life by adjusting my thyroid medication to the medically appropriate dosage. Prior to meeting with Dr. Shaik, I had been prescribed a high dosage of Synthroid by my former Endocrinologist. I believed it was time to seek the advice of a new Endocrinologist because I was getting adverse reactions to the high levels of thyroid medication in my system. I met with Dr. Shaik, after she was highly recommended by my primary care physican. After reviewing my lab work, she adjusted the dosage which took months to reach the correct range. Dr. Shaik professionally explained the need for my dosage to be changed. She made sure to take her time in explaining the many critical reasons for reducing the medications strength. Dr. Shaik is very smart, calming, patient, and friendly. I would actually give 2.5 stars because while I have had some experiences here that have been fine, I have also had some really bad ones. With the exception of Donna, the staff is always changing. I have lost count of the number of people who have worked at the front desk. Same with the MAs. What is up with that??? Also phone calls rarely get returned and the amount of time it takes to get an appointment between October and April is freaking ridiculous. I dont care if I offend anyone because I live in Arizona 12 months out of the year and should not have to wait for treatment because of the damn Canadians and snow birds!!!!! I dont go to Canada or cold parts of the US (Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa, well you get it) in the summer and monopolize the medical system there. Its not fair to those of us who are established patients living in Arizona full time. The wait to be seen when you do have an app is very long but if I show up 5 min late, I am told my app will be cancelled. It makes no sense. I would suggest going elsewhere but there arent many choices for endocrinologists in the valley. My last endo sucked too. I switched to Shaik hoping and praying she could handle my endocrine issues.

She is speech delayed and also has SPD. She has a hard time being still and can get a bit loud sometimes (like a normal toddler) but the blonde woman would keep giving us dirty looks. We even went into the area with no patients in it.I had to change my granddaughter (she pooped) and I was hoping Id be called back (since it was already almost an hour past my appointment time) so I could change her in the room. Well the blonde got up, gave us (another) dirty look and opened the door.I then waited another few mins to see if Id be called back ( I wasnt). So I had to take her to the car and try and cram her in the back seat next to her carseat to change her. I almost walked out of there but Id waited almost 2 months for the appointment. I let the MA know before I left how rude the woman up front was. She apologized but I REALLY wanted to tell that woman off! We will see how it goes moving forward but they need to work on a few things for sure.

I was a patient of Dr. Shaik for over a year and she was caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. I came to her afraid after a Thyroid Cancer diagnosis, unsure about my options moving forward pertaining to Radiation treatment, as well as the cocktail of medication I needed for the remainder of my life, not only for my lack of thyroid hormone, but also my parathyroids not working after my total thyroidectomy. She did assure me in the beginning that I was in good hands, that this relationship would be a long term one and I believed her.Whether it was the lack of communication from her staff, her inability to prioritize patients, or misinformation being relayed over to me that no changes were needed at the time I picked up lab work back in March- the result is still the same. She made a vital error in correcting my medication when she failed to view my lab results that put me in a hypoactive state for months, which is quintessential for me to stay away from for various reasons with my medical diagnosis. It took my ENT and my PCP to catch the error during a follow up appointment. Once I had gotten through in calling her office numerous times over the course of a week voicing these concerns, she unapologetically corrected her mistake, with no remorse for the turmoil my body has since had to deal with. She specifically stated that she had new staff in training, that they are still learning the system and how to handle patients records, errors do happen. I do not trust her office staff, nor do I trust her integrity to practice medicine. It is unfortunate because I did like her, but my health wasn’t hers or her staffs priority. She has no concern for anyone, but this title she has gained by merely going to school.Finding a specialist takes time and Dr. Shaik made the executive decision to discharge me as a patient and for what? For her inability to treat me like a human being? Lack of interest in my health? Because errors fall through the cracks sometimes and she is incapable of correcting her mistakes? No, she rather pawn me off to another doctor because I was stern with her and her staff about the severity of her mistake as my doctor. It is unknown to me the long term effects her mistake will have on my health and quality of life, but by all means lets brush this under the rug rather than take ownership and closely monitor how the patient is doing going forward. She is a doctor who is making an attempt to save face and has tried to put the blame on me for her incompetent ways. I care about my health and If you care about yours I would do yourself a favor and stay away from her and her staff.

I dont have an issue with Dr. Shaik so much as the out of pocket charges which are BS. I chose a healthcare plan for this doctor to be in my network, I pay the office visit fee and yet am charged over a $100 just to have results given to me. They first claimed it was because I didnt pay my co-pay but when I wasted my time and looked through my credit card statements, it showed that I had paid. The bill says its a Level 3 office visit and my insurance company pays over $400 of the cost, leaving me with the rest to pay. Im not sure if this is fraud or not but its just fancy way to say office visit and all Im getting is my blood work results read to me. Dr. Shaik did also forget to have one blood test done so I had to make pay for a visit back just to have those results read to me. I feel I need to let the medical board know about the questionable charges because it seems they are taking advantage of my healthcare provider and myself.

I went in for my first appointment with Dr. Shaik, and the receptionists didnt even acknowledge me for about 1 minute, which would be fine but they both were doing nothing, so I was just awkwardly standing there while they finished their conversation. Then while I was filling out paper work, the front office girl would receive calls and every time she got off the phone she would talk badly about that customer. Then finally after waiting over an hour, I was finally taken back. Dr. Shaik came in and said the new girl that they hired doesnt know how to get my A1C, so I just paid a $75 co pay to literally wait over an hour and get no results back. Why didnt you call and reschedule my appointment? After all of this I asked Dr. Shaik to send over a new glucagon shot, insulin and test strips. Not to mention it took a MONTH for them to get a prior authorization for my insulin in and when it came it was for bottles, not pens. They actually told me that prior auths can take weeks which is not true. This was not my first time getting one. After that it took a few weeks and MULTIPLE calls and me leaving voicemails to get then pens and then again another week for needles filled. I was calling sometimes six to ten times a day using my breaks and lunch. I have the phone records to prove this. At one point I had to drive after work from Tempe to AJ to get a pen from a friend because I was completely out! When I needed FML paper work filled out she left a complete page blank and filled out the incorrect dates that I then had to send back in to be fix. Paperwork that the office charged me $50 for. I have been a Type 1 Diabetic for 17 years, 18 come October 1st. Type 1s are completely insulin dependent and we can die without our medication. If you cant handle writing a completely necessary prescription for your patient then change your specialty to something where lives wont be on the line. I have since found a replacement Endo and will be reporting Dr Shaik (if she can even be called a doctor) and her practice to both the ADA and possibly the the medical board. I am in no way ingnorant or incompetent when it comes to this disease but Dr Shaik clearly is. Parents: Do not let your newly 18 Diabetic children go to this doctor. I fear for their well being.

Run do not walk! She was nice at first but I will NEVER contact these jerks again. Shame on you Dr. She tried to instill fear into me that I needed surgery and it was all BS. I never had thyroid cancer at all! Then they lie and type into their new system things they said I wrote down on my medical form which was all untrue. I called numerous times to tell them this is wrong as the employee that took me into the room waiting for the dr kept saying do not worry they will correct it blah blah. Ha do you know I called and left no less than 12 calls throughout a 6 month time frame and also showed up in PERSON and they still ignore me. When I showed up to pay my bill in full Dr. Shabeena was right in front of me said she would be right back and NEVER came out after 40 minutes so we left. Not 1 return call and she also tried to lie and stick it to my insurance company doing a completely unnecessary diagnostic test. Beware of the Fraud here!

Worst doctor I have ever been to. She is unprofessional in that she chuckled when I told her I have Reactive Hypoglycemia. She only considers people with hypoglycemia if they test in the 40s or below...What a bunch of crap. Every book in the world says 70 or below. She doesnt have a clue.

Den Shaik always runs more than 30 to 45 minutes behind with her appointments. Besides being a quality physician, she does not value her patients time at all.

Guess what THERE WE NO PATIENTS in the waiting room so II just couldnt over this Dr and staff.... HOW RUDE! Ive wasted 2 months trying toget in for my appointment but you know if they treat you this way now it can only get worse.Do yourself a favor and find another Dr.
