I am legitimately happy for all of you who had a good experience with Dr. Lin, however I was not one of the fortunate ones.The consultation went like this: After a short wait, he came breezing in the room with some immediate offhand remark about my advanced age at the time of vasectomy. I had to do a visible double take and ask him to repeat himself. Then he asked who referred me. When I told him, he responded with, Well, that was a good recommendation because I am the best urologist in the state. I do twelve hundred vasectomies a year! He was very proud of this fact. In fact, I think is is fair to say that this was really his crowning achievement, in his mind.He asked if I had questions. I told him about my troubled history with nitrous oxide, where it doesnt really work for me, and I get a very bad experience. First he stared at me blankly for several seconds. Resuming, he brushed off my concerns with a No, no, no. He assured me that this was totally different than my experience, and swiftly moved on to the next topic.He performed a brief exam, made a few more statements, then got up to leave. Since only four minutes had elapsed, I asked him a different question to slow his exit, this time about kidney stones. He quickly cut me off and launched into a practiced script calling out hydration and protein/salt consumption. I considered telling him that none of those things applied to me, but by then I realized he wasnt listening at all. He pulled some pamphlets off the wall and some drugs from a drawer and started ushering me out the door.The conclusion of the visit was him ejecting me from the exam room while I was still mid sentence. I was telling him something about my diet and my kidney stones, to which he responded, No, thats not right - no way. And then he just walked away, mid-sentence.I collected my papers, then immediately recycled them when I got home, as well as disposing of whatever drug sample he gave me.In summary, many will have no issue with this doctor. If your needs are purely transactional, if you have no other questions or concerns, and if you like your cutter to have lots of repetitive practice, then this is your guy. But I was thoroughly disgusted with Dr. Lins callous, dismissive, and frankly arrogant demeanor. Please consider this data point in your search for a urologist who you can feel comfortable with.

Awesome experience getting my vasectomy with Dr. Lin. I had no pain during the procedure, only a pressure feeling here and there.I got the laughing gas, and it was all worth it. With it, I experienced no anxiety during the procedure. Having to take deep, slow in and out breaths allowed me to distract myself. Before I knew it, the procedure was complete and over.I strongly recommend Dr. Lin to any men looking toward getting their vasectomy.

Dr. Lin and his staff are extremely nice, compassionate, and demonstrate a truly professional environment. I felt immediately at ease and comfortable with the staff and Dr. Lin. The procedure was a walk in the park and only took about 10 minutes. The optional Laughing Gas was extremely helpful, didnt feel a thing and dont remember the actual procedure at all really, lol. Dr. Lin and staff were very efficient and responsive to my issues. This was my first visit and it was a far better experience than my annual visits with my past urologist, who, together with his staff, was very poor at communications.Dr. Lin noted that I only need to see him if and when I have medical issues that concern me.

Fantastic staff, friendly and professional. I was really anxious the day of the procedure but it went quickly and just as described (vasectomy). Dr. Lin and the attending nurse went to work the minute he walked in, which I appreciated. I could feel a few pokes and tugs but the laughing gas helped me and they constantly talked to me during the procedure. Drove home right after, it has been 6 days since and recovery has been pretty smooth. Just chilled the first 3 days and have been back at work the last 3 (my job does not require much physical exertion). I was impressed with my whole experience. Great team!

It takes longer to fill your car up with a full tank of gas than the procedure. There was no pain the whole procedure took maybe 5 minutes. I highly recommend the nitrous. It gives you a nice buzz and puts you at ease.

Felt kinda rushed once Dr Lin realized he was not going to make $ on me and I was just an office visit. I realized I had more questions afterwards and still waiting for call back with answers days later now.

Dr. Lin destroyed my body and my life. The vasectomy he performed left me with severe nerve damage and soft-tissue trauma. I have been plagued since with unrelenting, excruciating pain for 8 months because of this doctor.He laughed and joked about the procedure before and bragged about how many he does in a year - but when things went wrong he didnt have a clue what to do and suggested it was something wrong with me or that it was in my head. This is not only unprofessional, but its also unconscionable and vile.This doctor literally ruined my life. I have spent over $15,000 dollars on specialists across the country trying to get answers and get fixed. The last one I saw said Im so sorry, the damage hes done may have ruined you for life.If you want to be in excruciating, unrelenting horror for the rest of your life, Dr. Lin should be your first choice. If that doesnt sound good to you, look elsewhere.

I came in to see Dr. Lin to have a vasectomy. Im not going to lie I was nervous. At the consult I was told about having laughing gas during the procedure. I now know why its recommended. I only felt the first couple pokes from getting numb. The laughing gas kicked in my nerves were settled! The whole procedure took 15 minutes. What an easy procedure! Well, I dont know if it was easy for Dr. Lin, but all I had to do was lay there. Dr. Lin has definitely earned his reputation. He has a good sense of humor while still being very professional.Guys: if youre done having kids and you want to be responsible and considerate, go see Dr. Lin and his awesome crew at Sunrise Urology.CONS: 1. A tiny little pinch when he gives you a numbing shot. To be honest, I missed this. I thought I felt it and Dr. Lin asked what the twitch was for. I said The shot? Nooo, that happened a while back. Not sure what I felt, but it was tiny.PROS: 1. If you do it on Friday, you get a three day weekend and you get to lay around the house and goof off (I played video games with the kids, which I dont often get to do). 2. No more fretting about birth control. 3. You can have nitrous oxide during the procedure. Wheee! 4. You get a t-shirt!

I never felt rushed at my appointments, some of which were on line. The on line appointments were follow ups to labs. They went off without any technical issues. and were very convenient for me.

Very nice staff and fast and effective service.Went for a vasectomy and decided not to take the laughing gas. I thought being numbed should be enough. Clearly I didnt get enough. It was extremely painful. Im good with some pain. Thats why I didnt think I needed laughing gas. I dont even know if that helps for pain.But this was really painful and I heard Lin say maybe the anesthetic didnt work that well on me but went on with the procedure anyway.Time is money.It was not good.But its over and done with so hoping the healing process goes well.
