I have had 3 appointments and still do not have a surgery scheduled.1st appointment: consult for carpel tunnel. I checked all the boxes for needing surgery but you need to go to a 2nd appointment to have some nerve tests done, just to confirm. 2nd appointment: Yes, you have carpel tunnel. You need to make a 3rd appointment to meet with your surgeon so he can go over the results you got at your 1st AND 2nd appointments.So, today I go In to meet the surgeon. He basically just does a quick exam, goes over my options (like my first appointment) and gives me a consent form to sign. He tells me his scheduler will be in in a moment. She comes in to hand me a piece of paper that tells me to call her on Friday’s or Wednesday’s to schedule my surgery. Now, I’m really irritated. She was too busy to take 5 minutes to schedule me. I was told I could wait but it was going to be a really long time before she could get to me.So far I’m less than impressed with the scheduling and appointment process. Everyone has been pleasant to talk to, no complaints there.I have yet to see a bill or actually have the surgery so I will have to update my review when that happens.1 star because they are polite. 1 star because they called me and moved my 3rd appointment up 2 weeks from the original date.

My appoint was great from the reception desk, to the Dr. Visit, to the check out desk! Dr. Stanbury is friendly, efficient and seems to truly want the best for his patients. In my case he recommended a conservative treatment before a surgery recommendation. That fits well with me as I always want surgery to be a last resort if at all possible. I first went to see Dr. Stanbury in August of 2020 as I was having severe wrist pain. Dr. Stanbury and I worked through multiple treatment options before finally resorting to surgery in December. Today, my wrist feels great, and I’m very appreciative of what Dr. Stanbury has done for me. While I was not allowed in with my wife due to COVID restrictions, Dr. Stanbury and his staff were able to clearly answer all my questions and concerns over the phone. Staff assisted my wife who needed assistance getting around. Necessary papers were brought out to me for signature and all surgery clearances were addressed. This was my first visit to Gilbert office and with Dr. Stanbury. I had a great experience at the Mesa office (Dr. Leber) but this location is much closer to my home. I was immediately pleased to see that there were lots of Covid precautions, so I felt very comfortable. All the staff was friendly and helpful. My appointment was right on time! Dr Stanbury was very thorough, responded in detail to all of my questions and we discussed treatment options. I cant say enough nice things.

Having been elsewhere and now know better, I can highly recommend Dr. Stanbury. He treated my left hand on Monday and Im delighted to say that the procedure went well and much less painfully than I had anticipated, comparing it to a similar procedure on my right hand years ago in Albuquerque and surgery on my right hand here in Arizona not at Ortho Arizona. Dr. Stanbury performed a thumb surgery on both of my hands. He did an excellent job as they healed quickly with no problems and are pain-free more than a year later. He was patient at appointments and very willing to answer all of my questions but he talks very fast, so I would recommend writing down your questions ahead of time, taking notes, and/or bringing someone with you to take notes, to make sure you dont miss anything.

Dr. Stanbury is thorough and willing to answer any and all questions and explain in a different way if you dont understand. I have had 3 procedures performed by him and highly recommend him.

I just called the doctors office and the person returning my call could not pay attention long enough to help me. After a long explanation she said “Why are you calling?” Sounded like a call center in the back ground and when I asked her what part she missed she could only repeat my last sentence. Very disappointing.

Great experience. Less pain the day after surgery than when I went in. Everyone was great. The anesthesiologists was so great. She listened to me carefully about my problems with anesthesia. Even though I had a nerve block they gave twilight. She gave the right amount. She is the first one to do this. What a great experience to leave a care facility fully awake. Doctor Stanbury performed a wrist repair surgery. I never thought I was gonna be able to do the things I was a capable of before the injury again. But doctor Stanbury fixed my wrist did his job and now Im able to return to work full duty and also be able to return to sports here shortly in a matter of months. I have never really been one to write a review but how do you thank someone who truly saved your arm. It all happened last year after I was bitten by a dog. I visited the ER right away and was treated and released. But twenty-four hours later my arm was swollen up past my elbow and continuing to swell. My primary care doctor, Dr. Jordan Ross, recognized just how critical this swelling was and thanks to his immediate concern he was able to get me quickly scheduled in with a hand and arm surgeon. This is when I met Dr. Spencer Stanbury.Dr. Stanbury was quick to act and performed my first surgery within hours. The infection from the injury led to five additional surgeries, three separate stays in the hospital and plenty of monitoring from Infectious Disease doctors. And during this time Dr. Stanbury was right there, whether it was in person or via phone calls he was continually checking on my status. He made multiple visits to the hospital even taking his own lunch time to visit.That day I met Dr. Stanbury I was faced with losing my arm and he knew it. I could never thank him enough for his quick actions and his true gentle nature. With the multiple surgeries I endured in order to get the infection under control he took special care and attention to make sure I did not lose the mobility or the sensitivity in my hand and fingers. He truly was incredible!I do not think I could ever thank Dr. Stanbury enough, for he truly saved my arm. Carpal-Meta Carpal Joint (CMJ) surgery for osteoarthritis. Glad I had it done...no more arthritis pain in that joint area. Dr Stanbury uses a technique that is even more current and 1st phases of recovery was fairly quick. (It still takes a year to regain full strength). Very knowledgeable doctor. By the way, he never runs late for his appointments...the most punctual doctor Ive ever met. I definitely highly recommend him for hand diagnosis and surgery!

I saw the doctor every time I went, surprisingly that is not how all surgeons work. He spent time explaining my options, was clear and to the point. I never felt misled in anyway. His office is clean and the staff really do help and answer questions & concerns. I had 2 surgeries with Dr Stanbury, I knew what to expect each time because it was all explained it in detail. I’m grateful I switched to Dr Stanbury, he had a lot of clean up work to do from my previous surgery and he did a great job.

Dr. Stanbury performed carpal tunnel release surgery on both of my wrists over the past 14 months. He is always on time and ran ahead of schedule for both of my surgeries, which was great. He is one of just a few doctors in the area who will perform carpal tunnel surgery without anesthesia, which was great for me as fasting prior to a surgery is difficult because of my type 1 diabetes. He explains things thoroughly and always took the time to address any concerns or questions I had. Both hands healed well and are symptom-free now. I had knuckle replacement on my right hand from Dr Stanbury and was extremely pleased with the results. My knuckle had gotten to the point of waking me up at night and limiting my golfing. Dr Stanbury did an excellent job explaining what I could expect and the work involved in the physical therapy of the knuckle after the surgery. I am back to full activity with no difficulties with the knuckle.

I went to see Dr Stanbury for severe carpal tunnel syndrome in my left hand. After much discussion, I knew I was comfortable with him. He was professional, yet young & personable. He has a good bed side manner & he also has some jokes to put you at ease. His office staff is also friendly & helpful. Calls were returned to me in a timely manner. I went ahead with the surgery under a local anesthetic. All went great & he even played my favorite music while he operated. After 8 weeks total, I can honestly say that my pain & numbness is all gone. Amazing & such a relief! Now I continue on with him to treat arthritis in my thumbs. I highly recommend Dr Stanbury for anyone in need. He did a great job & was always very honest & reassuring. Thank you for your help & medical expertise! I have had moderate to severe pain in my thumb for 11 years. After many appointments and treatments with other doctors I was finally referred to Dr. Stanburry. I knew right away I had found what I was looking for. It took him less than five minutes to give me the correct diagnoses. A short while after I had Carpometacarpal joint surgery by him. He preforms the operation without tearing ligaments out of the forearm. Way less pain and the recovery was smooth. Im now pain free. He is as professional as can be. Im way ahead of schedule with my strength and could not be more satisfied. Golfing at 13 weeks. If you are in need of a hand specialist look no further..

A couple of years ago my son severed a tendon in his hand playing flag football. It was misdiagnosed as a bad sprain. By the time we realized it was worse, it was necessary to harvest a tendon from his ankle. Dr. Stanbury performed the hand surgery. My son made a full recovery. So, in August, when I severed two tendons in my hand in a shop accident, I naturally went to Dr. Stanbury too. Three months post-surgery I have full use of my hand and almost all my grip strength back. I cant recommend him highly enough.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the treatment I received at Dr. Stanbury’s office. I initially saw Jamie, the PA who quickly diagnosed my trigger finger problem on my right thumb. He knows his stuff! I have complete confidence in him. After getting two cortisone injections it was determined that I would need surgery to get permanent relief. Dr Stanbury communicated clearly what I would experience during surgery and recovery. He is personable and put me at ease prior to surgery. His office is run efficiently, I was always seen on time and my calls returned promptly. I am so thankful to be able to perform my job as a dental hygienist without pain again.
