Ive been going to Dietlein eye center for over 10 yrs along with other members of my family. Even after I moved to Austin I continued using this eye center because I thought it was good practice to stay with a doctor and facility that would treat you well for your loyalty to their business. I was mistaken about this place, in the middle of this pandemic I scheduled an appointment over a month and ten days away because that was the earliest date I could come in. Im a teacher so I had to take off from work and students to go to this appointment. I knew what day the appointment was but was unsure of the time so I called in that morning to verify the time, and told them I was running late when they said my appointment was scheduled 20 minutes from my call. They said there was a twenty minute window for tardiness and I walked through the door at 21 minutes late. They refused to see me and sent me home. My frustration lies with an office staff that is too unprofessional to send any sort of communication through phone text or email that would have helped me be on time to my appointment. In turn Ive wasted an instructional day and not gotten my eyes checked. Thanks Dietlein Im glad to know that your staff cant follow through with simple communication that a Wal Mart eye center is more capable off. Needless to say Im not coming back and Im pretty sure none of my family is going to as well.

I needed to have Cataract surgery and my Retina doctor referred me to Dr. Deitlein. His office staff are very prompt, thorough and very friendly. Dr. Deitlein was excellent in evaluating me. Today was my surgery and it was a very nice experience. This evening I received a followup call from Dr. Deitlein just checking on me. I will recommend him to everyone needing professional eye care.

The dr is okay but the two technicians that served me they are un prefrontal and round never I go back my Frend she give another dame review is not in the list of reviews they did not like one star reviews

Both ladies at the front desk are rude. There was confusion with my primary care office and their office on who was supposed to get the authorized referral. When I was explaining that I felt all of this should have been taken care of before they called and set up the appointment with me the lady starts to shut the glass in my face.

All personnel were pleasant , but the wait and exam time was well over two hours. Also, I received confusing instructions at the end of my visit. Coupon for one product; instructions to use another product. There was little clarity when I called back. Maybe this is the future of healthcare and I just need to get used to it?

I was having an emergency situation with my eye and Dr. Labbe fit me in at the last minute. Everyone their was really nice too. It was especially nice of them because Im not even a patient there.

This man is so caring for a doctor. There was a time my husband was in the hospital for a relatied problem - that affected his eye pressures . I called Dr. Dietlein at home, leaving a message. He called me promptly back ... He was on vacation. He not only kept in contact with me the entire week but kept in contact with the physican taking care of Gary. This was unusual and far beyond the expectations of any doctor. Dr. Dietlein is a Christian Man. He is considerate and straight shooting. He has a family, so knows family values. Try him out and I promise you will never need another eye doctor again. PS - If you get there and wait ... this does happen ... know you will be getting your time when it is your appointment. He never rushes to make up for time that was longer with previous patients earlier in that day. BTW His office staff, and techs are also great.Your eye care is at the top of the list for everyone in this office.

The office personnel are very efficient and competent. My cataract removal was a pleasant experience. Im taking my wife there now.

I do not recommend this doctor. The overall atmosphere is one of a rushed, cataract mill. After waiting an hour past my appointment time with many other patients, I went through a long series of tests, waiting to finally see the doctor.When I finally did see him and I had concerns and questions about the potential outcome of my upcoming cataratct surgery, he seemed not to listen well or to understand. Indifferent to my obvious fear, he then became impatient and stated that I was too concerned about the results and that I should just have it removed. I did not return to have the procedure performed by this doctor and am thankful that I went elsewhere.

Dr. Dietlein is very through in his eye exams. He is also very kind. Cant imagine going anywhere else.
