Building was clean and inviting. All staff and team members were professional, friendly, and courteous. Beverly Young, the Administrator, was especially impressive with her care for patients and team members. I highly recommend this facility.

I would not recommend this place EVER. The way they treated us and my mom was completely unprofessional. They were inconsistent with their responses to our questions about our mom. They made changes to our moms meds without our consent, then had to wait 7 days for a Doctor to call back. Let the pictures below speak for themselves.

Kurt and Amaka are my therapist. They are awesome. They work very well with each patient and are a great help to me. All the employees are kind as well. Nurses are excellent too. My husband was in 2 different rehab facilities and this therapy program here is totally different, the therapist here actually care about their patients.

I have worked at this facility since January 2018. The staff here have the biggest heart. They all take time to care for our residents. The nursing staff are highly skilled and do a fantastic job. I would recommend this faculty to anyone needing care for their family!!! I absolutely love working here with each and everyone of them!!! The residents are the sweetest.

My father was at Belaire for rehab twice in the last year and the care and therapy he received was excellent. At the age of 94 they were able to get back to the assisted living center he had lived in for years. I appreciated the staffs willingness to help my father in anything he needed or our family requested. I would recommend this facility for anyone who needs rehab services.

My wife was admitted here today in the early afternoon from CMC Mercy after ankle surgery. She still hasnt received anything for pain since they order the meds from a pharmacy in Hickory. Otherwise shes been treated well enough I guess time will tell. More of a review later.

My grandmother lived at Belaire for many years before she passed away. She participated in activies, made friendships and lived her life to the fullest possible after she had her stroke. The crafts were some of the activities she enjoyed most. The staff loved her and she loved them. She would always take my children around to see the staff and her friends.

The Belaire staff is nurturing and caring for their residents. This Mothers Day I was blessed by participating in a jewelry donation for the lady residents. Giving back is more of a blessing for the giver!

I was in Belaire Health Care Center for two weeks for rehab after major back surgery.The second week in the facility was like a vacation. I had physical therapy then occupational therapy every day. The Therapist were fantastic! They helped me be able to do things I hadn’t done in eight months. They made sure between exercises I rested. They were extremely conscious of how much I could accomplish at each session. My therapist were wonderful. I especially want give a special thank you to Josh, Dillon,Heidi, Telicia,Gina,and Anne.The Nurses and CNA’s were on top of every situation.Anything I needed was taken care of in a very timely manner. The entire staff seemed to always be in a good mood. No grumpy folks were ever around. One other situation was cleanliness. I was very impressed that someone was always cleaning, emptying trash, or cleaning floors or rooms.I have never been treated with more concern for my condition or more care for my privacy.Lastly I really appreciate all Cody, David, and Ethen did for me. And I appreciate everyone getting me ice.

Belaire Health Center has been an answer to our prayers for nursing care for my Mother. She has been there about a year with dementia and recovery from a stroke. Belaire has the most compassionate care givers..they love my Mom and she has thrived and is actually better than when we admitted her. The nursing staff is so attentive and knowledgeable about Moms health. Our family couldn’t ask for a better nursing facility. They are Mow part of OUR family!

I love Belaire, Nurses and Cnas are very kind gentle and supportive, the therapist are excellent and the facility is very clean! It helps speed up Rehab to have such a clean kind helpful staff.

My mother was sent here for rehab. This is a terrible place and I would not recommend it. I am a nurse and as a nurse when someone is on fall precautions and they were letting her get up on her own. Not putting cream on bottom and let her get bed sore. No team work between nurses and CNAs. Administration is hateful and do not care about patients. Meds not given correctly or sent home to get filed. No communication at all. DO NOT LET YOUR FAMILY GO HERE!

My loving sister passed here at Belaire.They are very careing. My sister was cared for and the staff was always helping me thourgh a hard time. Thank you all. Bobbie Blair

Belaire of Gaston county is the sorriest Nursing facility I have ever witnessed. Please do not allow your loved ones to be admitted at this place. The administration is biased and have only their best interest at hand. Patients are dying needlessly here because of under-staffing, under orientation,etc.I know several patients who are now dead due to negligence on the staffs part. This is the worst facility that exist in Gaston County.The administration at the Gaston County Facility does not follow protocol and covers up mistakes made to hide the fact that this facility needs to close. Medicare and Medicaid need to investigate as soon as possible.If you have someone you love in this facility please remove them before they are allowed to expire needlessly. I beg you, remove them now.In kind,A nurse who actually cares.

I’ve worked at Belaire for 10 years and I must say it is a pleasure working with the patients as well as the staff, there’s not a day go by that we don’t share laughs, memories and most of all that we care for our patients. I remember when I first started here and the Administrator walked up to me and called me “Allstate” I just smiled as usual and began to stare at him, he asked me “Do you know why I called you that” I said “No” he said I spoke with a family member that couldn’t remember your name so she called you “Allstate” and I asked her “Why” and she stated “She calls you that because she knows her mother is in good hands when you’re here”. That just made my day! It’s not just me it’s all of our staff that treats EVERYONE like family that’s why I am still here at BHCC!!

My husband was extremely weak after 3 months of extensive hospital stays when we arrived at BelAire in Gastonia.We chose BelAire after visiting the facility because we were so impressed with the renovation and quality of physical therapy equipment. It is state of the art!!!After meeting the Therapist we were sold and the quality of the therapy is second to none. The therapist are equally caring and involved in each patient’s individual progress.My husband has made great strides to return to his normal active life thanks to the therapist and staff at BelAire.My only complaint is that the patient rooms which are ragged and depressing. The patient rooms desperately need to be remodeled for patient and family morale. BelAire needs to address the situation of the quality of the patients rooms ASAP because the rooms also need to speak to the quality of care a client will receive in their facility.

Id rate lower but its not possible. First of all most of these reviews were written by current employees that they gave a gift card if they wrote a good review for the company so take that into consideration. Second they dont care about the residents only the money. Always severely understaffed, administration that just closes their doors and ignores it all. And that goes from Mr. Loney on down to their unit managers. They arent family oriented as they claim. Unsafe staffing is always an issue on all shifts. Bed ridden residents falling out of bed with no explanation as to how or why, just brushed under the rug and in some cases they thought it was funny. Corporate RN thinks its ok to verbally assault staff because he keeps getting away with it. Bringing your loved one their for rehab? Well make sure they have their pain med before coming because they cant stock the pyxis with pain meds so theyll get Tylenol instead until their meds come in from pharmacy and if they come in on a Friday its sometimes Monday night before they get them.

Both my grandmothers lived at Belaire for several years before they passed away. One of my grandmothers mind was sharp as a tact until the week before she passed away. She chose herself to come to Belaire to live and fully embraced life there. She participated in activies, made friendships and lived her life to the fullest possible until she was diagnosed with colon cancer. When we would take her out for family events she would stay for a few hours then tell us she was ready to go home...meaning Belaire and I think this speaks volumes about how she felt and trust me she didnt hold back about telling you how she felt. My other grandmother came to Belaire after falling and breaking her hip and because of complications from her Alzheimers was unable to return safely home. The staff loved and doted on her. One nurse would even bring her Milky Way candy bars and keep them in her desk and my grandmother knew to visther everyday for her candy. I honestly dont know what my family would have done had we not had Belaire to take care of her. The day she passed so many staff cried with us and even came to her service. My family is grateful for Belaire and the employees there who truly invest in their residents.

Ive been working as a CNA for a few months and I love the staff as well as the residents. They have a great rehab program with great therapist and great caring nurses.

My father has been a patient for the last 3 weeks. Had we known the kind of facility this was, we would NEVER have sent him here. He had surgery on his intestines and his doctor had him on no food or drink, he was getting nutrients through IV. He has progressively become weaker and weaker. First, the nurses and staff are the rudest and uncaring bunch of people I have ever met in my life. They must all be really miserable. Second, since my dad was not allowed food and drink, he was brought food on a continuous basis, as well as ice water instead of just ice chips. Did no one read his chart? Or did they just not care? Last Friday, the nurse practitioner started him on Iron pills, which should be taken with food. HE CANT EAT!!! He therefore, began vomiting for 2 nights straight. The doctor for the facility then took him off the iron pills, but decided to put him on oral antibiotics instead of intravenous antibiotics....seriously, stupid lately??? He went to see his doctor today and the doctor basically said he had another day or two in there and he would have probably passed away. He has now returned to the hospital to fix everything the rehab has destroyed, and he is still not healed from his surgery, which was the entire purpose of going to rehab.If you have loved ones, DO NOT send them here....they may not return home with you.It was miserable going to visit him. The older people are left in wheelchairs in the hallway all day long, while the nurses, cnas etc stand around the nursing station running there mouths!!!! This is inexcusable and frankly this place should be shut down!!!

I was trained for 5 days which is okay because I’m an experienced cna. Two of my days were spent on one hall yet I was supposed to know all 50-60 something long term patients which was overwhelming.

Rehab center was good. All went downhill when my mother in law was sent to long term care. Care was mediocre at best. She ended up passing away largely due to kidney failure due to not having been given fluids for 6-7 days according to doctors at the hospital. Also, dealing with the business office is a nightmare. Be prepared to feel verbally assaulted at any billing issue on top of the emotional roller coaster of having a loved one in a home. The business office manager is a rude, disrespectful person who is not suitable to work in such a sensitive environment. I have complained and she is still employed so obviously management is ok with their clients family being treated in this manner.

My aunt is a current resident at Belaire. She receives great care and the staff truely shows they care about her. Thank you to the staff for being so genuine.

Its been a great day despite all the rain today spending some qt time with the staff here. All smiles, despite the puddles;)
