I had nothing short of an exceptional experience at Carolina Eye. From the initial phone call to setup my appointment, to picking up my glasses, Carolina Eye exceeded expectations. I have to say that it is refreshing to receive such good service and to be treated so well by their staff. That is increasing rare these days. Their staff is knowledgeable, patient and helpful. Dr. Mincey is very good at what she does. I think they have an great selection of frames, far more than most places. Hannah helped me with my frames and she was awesome. I will definitely be giving them my business from this point forward!

They got me right in, every one was very professional and caring, both the tech and the doctor explained everything to me, fully. I am on limited income and for glasses, they came up with a price I could afford without having to give up groceries! My glasses will be in sooner than I thought. I had an appointment today at 9 AM. I did arrive 15 minutes early and only waited maybe a minute before they took me back and was done by 9:15! Halie did an excellent job with helping me on my contacts and glasses and Dr. Diane Mincey is an excellent Optometrist. Also, the staff is very welcoming when you enter the building. Wendy and Halie are very sweet! Will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone needing an eye doctor.

DO NOT PURCHASE GLASSES HERE!! This is based on staff. They were helpful, just nothing to work with!! Was in a hurry, since I had a cross country trip. Received in time but glasses were awful. Look straight ahead in center of lens, okay, but around edges, blurry. Now stuck. Took glasses in... they adjusted some, and tilted downwards to get rid of some blurriness around edges. Looked okay, but not for driving. After almost 2 wrecks, threw out window somewhere going across Arkansas and just squinted. Cost and extra day travel since couldnt see at night. Returned home, and ordered another pair where I always do. The glasses are a hundred percent better, and much cheaper, but still question the script. NO WHERE NEAR AS CLEAR AS OLD PAIR, but at least the vision was uninformed over the entire lens, not blurry around edges. So bottom line...not sure about script, close but not correct......but glasses here were awful!!!!!

I been coming here for a couple of years and I absolutely love it every time the staff is really nice and welcoming.

Best eye exam i have ever received. I know this is showing Im old but did not blow air into my eyes to check pressure and just as importantly did not dilate my eyes, no drops of any sort. Was timely and listened to my concerns and made me feel at ease.

The people who work there are very nice and polite, and Diane mincey is a wonderful eye doctor.

I was seen quickly and the girls were so helpful helping me pick out new glasses. Everyone was super friendly. I cant wait to pick up my glasses.

My annual office visit is something I use to dread but have been coming to Carolina Eye for 3 years and each visit is efficient and thorough. I have never waited to be seen and am always asked how my vision feels to me and how the products I have used have worked. My contacts are shipped to my home and if I have questions or concerns, the office staff advocates for me, the patient! All staff and physicians are professional and kind. Would definitely recommend this office for your eye care needs!

We just moved to Gastonia from Grand Rapids, MI 2 months ago and let me tell you that I’ve never felt so at home wit the services provided. I love this community and it’s was all true about the southern hospitality I kept hearing about up north🥰

I arrived about 10 minutes early. I waited about 5 minutes and was greeted quite pleasantly. The lovely receptionist took me straight back for pictures of my inner eyes and then she took me to a wall of eyeglass frames. I was allowed to try on any and/or all I wanted. I made my decision and done. The office manager had done her homework before I was seated and she informed me my glasses frames were free and the there was a $5 or $10 copay. Dr Mincey looked at my eyes and had me read several lines(no problem). He had me read letters from each line and he said I had 20/15 vision and told me to come back in a year. My eyes were young.I am quite pleased with this experience and grateful for the service from all associates in the office!Thank you

This was my first time here and it was all around a positive experience. I originally had to schedule my appointment for an eye exam for 3 weeks out but they mentioned I can call in to see if there are any cancellations. After explaining my availability I didn’t have to call in because they called me a couple days later to let me know about a cancellation the next day that worked with my schedule. The staff and Dr. were helpful, professional, and the entire exam took only about 30 minutes. Reasonable prices for someone without insurance looking to get eye exam, glasses, and contacts in one place. Great first time experience and I look forward to using them in the future.

I love this place. They dont pressure you to buy glasses if you dont need them. They are affordable to.

As soon as you walk into the door your meeting a smiling face. Though out the whole process of the exam you had a friendly person even when someone else is helping you for the next step. Thought they were a little pricey for the glasses for someone without insurance. They did give discounts to help with the cost that was a plus.. I would recommend them to everyone.

They are great at ensuring all of your questions are answered and that you know exactly what your insurance benefits are and the options you have for glasses.

They were absolutely great! Overall very quick! Was in and out in less than an hour with everything selected and exam completed. Katie I believe her name was, was awesome! The only part I was a little concerned about is that it takes 14 days to get your glasses back, I was hoping to get them back a little sooner and I’ve always waited about a week or less for glasses. But besides that, I was completely satisfied with my experience here!

This place was great. Is 25 and had never gone to get my eyes checked even though i knew i needed to wear glasses. They were really quick with the test and had me seeing better in under a half hour. I even managed to get two pairs of glasses for $210 which turns out to be pretty cheap since i shopped after before filling the prescription. They even managed to get them back to me less than an hour after i placed the order.

Scott and his assistants were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed my visit and was happy with my results. I would recommend this place.

The staff is very helpful. I did not feel rushed. I have struggled with dry eyes for years and made an appointment with Dr. Mincey. He gave me a state of the art exam and a script fr the condition. It said it might be a month before I would see improvement. Within a week I noticed a huge difference. It was exactly what I needed. No more dry , bloodshot, itchy eyes.Thank you!
