Years ago this place was amazing and you felt like doctors and nurses actually had ambition to help you. Now staff vent most of their anger on the patients, gossip about patients personal records in ears distance of other patients often mocking them. They treat you like the enemy and its like youre going into a warzone at times and depending whos on shift. Being left with a bloody nose after a test because a nurse was angry or have a gaping bleeding iv wound while leaving the hospital.

Absolutely terrible experience with Dr. Leger. I felt judged and didn’t feel at all heard. He was short with me and had an attitude when I questioned his decision to essentially pass me off to my primary PCP without doing literally anything except a brief exam of my limbs. I don’t do something like go to the ER lightly, I went there as the culmination of months of feeling terrible, not as a whim. I was treated like a teenager looking for a fix and was given absolutely no help. Absolutely terrible experience. Will never visit their ER again and will def not recommend it.

Waited 2 hours and than some...so far.. no one is comeing.. sitting in the room waiting for doctor... how much longer hmmm..to wait? yeah.. Hospital? Yeah ER?..Whats it for? Staff talking outside gossiping laphing on and on..damb this place..I guess its only emergency when my heart stops or something..I wish there is some other hospital nearby that actually sees you maybe less than 30 min?.. is there?.. unsure?.. Gardner Heywood Hospital ER.. t e r r i b l e!!! Still Zero Tolerance ? Can I at list complain a little?..haha..hmmm Im actually here for my Aunts sickness.. what a test of patience..^^

Bad parking, and although the emergency department was busy at the time. I came is with flu like symptoms and Nausea. They made me wait in the regular waiting area. Even when I told the secretary I was feeling worse they gave me no bucket or back in case I got sick. I eventually ran into the rest room and vomited everywhere and while I was in there I heard them calling my name but nobody cared to tell the nurse I was sick in the bathroom.This is very basic compassion and professionalism issues that could have been addressed. I was embarrassed, and a mess, and made to feel not important.I will not be returning or recommending to anyone. ( I am a Paramedic, and a long time health care provider so I know what should be expected in a place like this). Heywood should be ashamed of themselves.

I went in about two days ago for a serve panic attack feeling like a heart attack. they gave me ONE X-ray, and gave my my discharge papers. didn’t tell me ANYTHING about my X-ray, and then gave me cold medication when I wasn’t even sick!I waited 3 and a half hours for an X-ray.My symptoms are still going on today, and it’s been a week.They don’t care unless you’re dying.

Went in had a serious skin infection head to toe felt like needles in my body. I was placed in a room for 3 hours!! When the doctor came in he reassured everything explained everything that was happening. Why he took so long, he explained he had more serious cases to take care of and I appreciate that. It was a long wait but Dr.Wilson did a great job taking care of me. And being the only doctor in a overflowing er.

I sat in a room being told a doctor would see me soon, for almost 6 hours. I was then discharged by a nurse with no answers of what was wrong with me.

I came in by ambulance having a heart attack. The entire staff in the ER was very professional. I was attended to right away and rushed to UMass Medical Worcester where I had surgery. If it wasnt for the ER staff at Heywood Hospital for their fast response to my medical needs I might not be here today. Thank you to all!

Dr. Romney in the emergency room was one of the most compassionate and understanding doctors Ive ever met.

The staff are very caring! Could not have asked for a better experience.

This place nearly killed me faught a severe lung infection for a week went to a different hospital and feeling better less then 24 hours with being admitted and the right medicines to help i wouldnot bring my dog here to die its that bad
