Good guy. He helps you manage your disease without being overbearing or scolding. He’s also very responsive to messages sent through the NYU Langone patient portal, and he or his staff refills prescriptions quickly, working well with the prescription companies.

I was a new patient of Dr Mehta this year and after having a rare and serious tumor 4 years ago he has now picked up my care. he is the only one to do a tumor marker test that picked up a new issue. had this been missed, things would be a lot worse. he is a very clear communicator and tells you the good and the bad. he explains the tests, the results and what to do about them. the only downside is the secret is out on this guy and he books up months in advance. But his office people are nice and might squeeze you in.

I have been seeing Dr.mehta for a few years now and it’s always a pleasure to see him. He is very patient and informative. They are times I would send him a message for either a prescription or something I may need and he responds within the same day. I can’t say that for most doctors. He’s very professional and detailed and I am quite happy with him. So if you are looking for a doctor here it is. He’s wonderful

Dr. Mehta is very patient and non-judgemental. He listens and is very knowledgeable. The Diabetic Educator, Terry, also works with him closely and can recommend seeing her as well. They are fairly quick in sending prescriptions and bloodwork too.

Made a new patient appointment with Dr. Mehta. He was booked out almost 60 days, but I was willing to wait, since he came recommended by my GP. However, several weeks after scheduling the appointment, and having my records sent from my former endocrinologist, I received a voicemail from his office, saying that my appointment needs to be canceled because he is going on vacation the week of December 3rd. When I called to reschedule the appointment, the person I spoke with said I was never booked with Dr. Mehta, but with Dr. Paras, who is leaving the practice. She did not have my correct insurance info in the system either, even though I had taken the time to provide all insurance info on my first call. She offered me a 1/31/20 appointment, but could not verify that my insurance would be accepted (Dr. Mehta is listed as an in-network provider on Aetnas website btw) and seemed generally unhelpful. At this point, I asked to speak with the office manager and was put on hold for an excessive amount of time, until I finally hung up in frustration. And now, after making this appointment a month ago, and having my medical records sent to this very disorganized unprofessional practice, I am left to start all over with a new endocrinologist. I am extremely disappointed.
