Can not speak highly enough about this location. I got glasses at the Redford location off Telegraph and had a horrid experience. Went to this one to get my glasses fixed...complete opposite. Super friendly, solved my issue, and were so professional. I will definitely drive out of my way to come to this location. Thanks so much for the good experience.

Ordered a pair of glasses after Associate looked up my insurance info and was I informed cost would include everything. Got Bill Months later stating the Frames were only covered only after Every 2 year. Very Disappointed that Associate didnt inform me that was going to Happen. If so informed would probably not have gotten the Glasses. Associate Does not know how to look up the proper information!!! Wont be doing any Business in the future with this company.

Dr. Steve Drennan is one of the best doctors to prescribe contacts. Very professional and thorough. Highly recommended.

Other than price, I would recommend SVS Vision Garden City. Make sure to see Steve (eye Dr). He is VERY thorough and patient. Back to the pricing, SVS should have a section of lower cost decent looking frames for sale. They do not! Staff was very friendly as well.

Recieved great care and attention from beginning to end. Doctor explained everything clearly what I needed to know about my eyes. I enjoyed the process of making a selection for my two pairs of glasses. I was given a honest opinion regarding the frames that I was selecting. I felt safe and confident during the entire time that I was there. My husband will be making an appointment to purchase new glasses very soon. I appreciate SVC!

I just walked in to get my glasses adjusted and was rudely spoken to. I understand we’re in the middle of a pandemic but my mother and I did not think we needed an appointment for something that takes 2 seconds. The rude front lady with short black hair almost refused to adjust our glasses but eventually someone did. Again, I understand it’s appointment only but they could’ve informed us in a nicer way when all we needed was a quick adjustment.

This place is great. The staff and doctor are very friendly. They definitely coached me throughout process and made me feel very comfortable with everything.

Well i come here to get a pair of glasses and a year supply of contacts. The doctor was great and the exam was very professional. When i was done i ask to pay in full for both my contacts and glasses; $100 in cash and the rest on my card. I get the call to come pick up my stuff and get there and am told i still owe $90. I speak to the manager and tell her the women who cashed me out i asked to put $100 in cash down and the rest of my bill on my card. Prints out my receipt and just tells me you only put $100 down on them and i kept explaining to her that i was never told i had a balance(because i asked to pay in full), was never told i owed another 90 bucks when picking up. And they did nothing for me absolutely nothing for me! Meanwhile i had already paid $400-500 with insurance. And now another 90 on that cause apparently when you ask to pay in full they say you can but leave money left that you still have to pay and not say a word about it! Over priced and waste your time.

Made an appointment (I thought) online and went in but apparently did not actually make one. However, the staff was very nice and fit me in on the spot. I have been to 4 different places to find a pair of glasses that fit my face and this is the only place I could find any! Thank you to Allyson for the patience and assistance.

HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE! I wish that I could leave a zero star review!!! My son bought glasses and sunglasses maybe five months ago from the Garden City SHe. Today while standing doing nothing the glasses fall off and the temple part broke offMagically. My son calls to get in and get them fixed. First the girl who answered the phone said there are no openings until next Friday. Ummmm really?? Christmas Day?? He cannot see without his glasses. Of course his response was that he needed to get in asap. He was able to get in today. Oh! I forgot the part about it took over a month for his glasses that he spent 506.00 to get in. And they forgot to notify him! Back to today Don who waited on my son was condiscending and very rude to my son and even more rude to me when I called to question WHY he was charging my son 80.00 for the frames!! Less than 5 months!!!! Im pretty sure your people work on commission!! A customer was shopping for glasses and overheard what my son was being told and said he was walking out! I will be contacting the head office and manager Monday! I will let every single person that I know including putting it on my Facebook how horrible your employee treated my son and I and how your business is a scam. Also The Better Business Bureau.

I had a great experience! From the time I walked in the door until I left. I picked out my frames before exam, which was a time saver. The doctor was great! The check-out process was flawless.

Social distancing needs to be watched more carefully.

Everyone was very friendly. They greet you as soon as you walk through the door so you feel welcomed and not lost. The doctor I had for my exam was very professional and polite, very thorough.

I’m new to SVS and I had my first appointment at a different location. I happened to stop by this location to check out their glasses selection. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The store was well lit and had more of a variety to choose from. I made my son’s appointment here with Doc, who was really nice as well. I’ll definitely be using this location from now on!

The staff was very respectful, friendly and inviting upon arrival. I was greeted at the door and the two young ladies were very helpful and instrumental in helping me find the best frame for me. The doctor was very polite and answer all or any questions or concerns I had. I will definelty remain a customer with SVS Vision.

Worst place ever ! First, the oldest receptionist is beyond rude, spend over $300 after insurance and when I went to pick up my glasses they were not good, they pretended to have sent it back but after a week of wearing still I can’t read clearly enough ( bifocals) the plus side is too low and make the letters blurry. Never going back, stay away if you have other options.

Every person that works there helped me get what I wanted/needed. They ALL had a part in this. Couldnt have worked out any better. I can actually see clearly now and Im really liking these new frames! Thanks everyone!!

Over priced. Bogo 1/2 off. Funny $411 for first pair. $480 for the half off pair after the half off. I wish Ford would let us go somewhere else. I have been going to this location for around 30 years. The old employees were always nice. Their all gone now so is the customer service.

Really nice eye dr and staff. Very helpful with all questions. The doc explained each step of the exam which was great and also explained my vision issues with understandable details. The process did not take long at all. I was in and out in maybe 30mins or so.Did not The inside was nice,clean and comfortable so was the eye exam room.

Went to pick up glasses wrong frames me and sister got the exact same thing and she got hers with 4 days I however had to wait 7 days to receive tje wrong frames....NOW I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER 7 DAYS i cant see this place has poor customer service ask to speak to management was told he was not there bs.dont go here .

Very friendly and helpful. Will let you take all the time you want in picking out frames. They were helping a lady when I got there and was still with her being just as friendly as he was when I finished. (I would have been getting impatient after all that time). GREAT PEOPLE work here.

I had my exam at the Telegraph office ( Dr and manager were super nice, but the rest were awful) I came here looking for glasses and Don was amazing! Very attentive, helpful, even offered to temporarily fix my old ones until I could track down ones I liked ( I wear kids sizes which makes it challenging) he wrote down the ones I kinda liked . I plan to come back once I track down the ones I really like. This place is well worth going to, even if its a little out of the way.

The customer service I received from Debbie (i think that was her name) was excellent! She is very good at her job. Dr was really nice too but I think glasses/lenses seemed kind of expensive.

Two stars because the optometrist at this location Dr. Steve (I believe) is fantastic. He really takes him time with his patients to make sure you find the comfort level/fit that you’re looking for. However every other person I had the unfortunate event of interacting with was TERRIBLE. They are extremely rude to you from check in through checkout; the blonde haired woman and the older gentleman were by far the worst. She was casually slumped over I. A chair when I asked in and acted as if I was inconveniencing her day by showing up for my scheduled appointment and the gentleman flat out refused to give me my PD so that I could shop around for glasses that were less expensive. He told me that my medical records were for their use only and only after 20 minutes of arguing with me and me finally asking to speak to the doctor, did he snatch the paper out of my hand and write it down. His last comment to me was “you don’t need to get me in trouble”. I switched to this location because it’s less than 2 minutes from our house but I guess I’ll be making the 20 minute drive to the livonia location again because at least they know how to interact with customers.

Very professional. Doctor who did eye exam was polite and cared about my needs. Receptionist went above and beyond to make sure insurance was verified. Eye glass technician was very helpful. Definitely would recommend this location.

Went here about a month ago. Loved the whole experience, everyone was great! Went on a Thursday & my glasses were ready on Tuesday even though they said 7-10 days. I will definitely be back when its time to get glasses again.😁

The eye doctor was VERY helpful with setting me up with contacts again after 20 yrs. He was able to set me up with monovision, which is really helping me see far, AND up close. Staff is very helpful and friendly! Will definitely come back!!

I highly recommend this place. I have a son with autism who needed new glasses. Had new script for lenses and was planning on going in over the weekend to pick out new frames. My son broke his current glasses on Tuesday so we had to get new ones immediately. Went in Tuesday evening and Patrick was so helpful. He took care of us and the rest of the staff was very friendly too. Due to the situation I asked to please have the glasses rushed if at all possible. The glasses came in today (less than 3 days from time ordered) and Im super pleased with them as is my 8 yr old son. Thank you so much SVS Vision we will definitely be using you for all our future needs.

Purchased glasses a month an a half ago and still feel the script is not right. Ive been back and forth 3-4 times and still not happy with my glasses. Wont go back to this location or probably any SVS vision location. I remember when they use to help you pick out glasses checking the fit for you...not here. The woman just sat there until I got done trying to service myself.👎

The best experience I could ever imagine for my dad and mom. Friendly, caring service, with beautiful glasses. Dad is not very mobile, so they allowed me to bring home a few pairs of glasses for him to try. Once we picked out the pair he wanted, we drove to the store and the technician came to him to the car to measure him and get everything he needed. Once glasses were ready for pick-up, the manager, Patrick, brought them to my dads home. Unbelievable! So glad we chose your shop!Thanks, Patrick and all!

The appointments I have had are always on time and the optometrists have been thorough and helpful. Selection of frames and options are more than adequate. Glasses come in when expected. I think the service is good.

This was my first visit here at SVS and I can say I was very pleased and satisfied with my eye exam. The receptionist were very nice people and Dr. Gay was a good eye doctor for my eye exam.

Ok. I got glasses here 2+ years ago. Service was great. Doctors were good. It took forever for my glasses to come in. And when I would call. I was told they would be in tomorrow several times. I took my business elsewhere for my yearly exams and glasses. To this day. Note that I said I went there 2+ years ago I still about monthly have a recording call me. If you really want my business back at least have a person call me and not a recording.***Update January 16th the robo calls have not stopped. This place has zero clue how to properly do business.

My family has been going here for several years. Dr. Epps is very personable and explains each eye test and results thoroughly. The opticians and staff are extremely welcoming and customer service oriented. The facility is spacious, organized, and clean, including the bathroom.

Lady at the front is rude. This place seems a lot more interested in your money then caring for your vision. Doctor tries getting you in and out as soon as possible. Went here for contacts and the doctor prescribed me the wrong fit. Now Im stuck with boxes of contacts i cant use. Highly recommend another place.

As soon as I walked in I was acknowledged and the doctor was ready soon after paper work was finished. They try to explain everything to you so you could be prepared for your next visit and your eyes.

The Lady in the front is super rude.GO ELSEWHERE!.i did not have my insurance card.but i always carry the photocopy of my insurance.So,offered her my phone to read and fill details.she said it would be difficult.i doubt what she would have done if i had my insurance card.For her knowledge the phone screen is much bigger than card nowadays.And,she was ready to take the number and i had to spell every letter with her face doing all gymnastics as i was reading it to her.I went to his place on advise of my friend .i have explained him how i was treated.He wont go there here on.i skipped my appoinment today becos of this.Bye forever.

I have been to many eye glass places and no place has better, friendlier, customer service than this SVS. This was my second time there and I felt everyone wanted me to feel comfortable and happy with my choices.

The eye exam was rushed , never asked me any questions , never checks if I needed reading glasses when the guy out front that was fitting me asked the doc he said no and I asked if he had checked me for them he said did you wear them before and I said yes he then told the guy to do bifocals .... my glasses were sent back twice because they had the bifocals half way up the glass and I couldnt use them. After the third time of me going back I just took the glasses and tried to wear them with no luck bifocals up to high so I bought a pair of glasses I cant even use and my insurance wont cover another pair for 2years. What a waste !!!!

Had an appointment. Hadnt been there in 2 years. Get there and was told that I couldnt get my eye exam because saposedly my insurance wouldnt pay but I could buy some glasses. Then was told that they called me and left a voicemail to cancel the appointment this morning.I never received a call not a message!! Smh. Why would I wanna buy glasses after being greatly inconvenienced and lied to! Its been 2 years so my prescription couldve changed by now.Never again.

Never a good customer experience. I quit going to this location 6 years ago. Decided to give another chance after they replaced the doctor I did not care for. My schedule appointment for an exam was behind 30 mins. They were extremely busy in the show room but i couldnt figure out why a Doctor appointment was running so far behind. Why I was there a lady had been waiting an hour to pick-up her glasses. The next week I got a call, my glasses were in. I went up there to check in for my pick up and there was no signing in. The lady asked what I need and then told me have a seat and I would be next one helped. 25 mins later they helped twi customers who came in after I did that were walking the show room floor. In a pissy attitude I ask the lady why the people that came in after me were being helped as she stood there with no answer I walked out only to go back in and ask for the store number (25) and corporate phone number. Of course when I call corporate I get voice mail box.They have 3 people taking orders and handling pick-ups. 2 behind the counter and 1 doctor and yet they still have no efficient why to help customers in a fair and reasonable amount of time. Start with a sign in sheet that you follow would be a great first step. Before going to this location I would try the one in Ypsilanti. That one has by far been the best customer experience out of the 3 I have been to.

Broke my glasses and had to order another pair and its been 2 weeks and i still dont have them. Everytime i call they say 2 days and i wait 2 days and there STILL not there.
